I thought it would've happened by now. Someone, should make something, to where you can put a transcription(if it's audio/video) of what's being said/spoken, and transcription for text, to let google know exactly what's in the flash container.

I wondered if anyone knew a workaround or trick that I could use to get text into google. I have a couple ideas but they're just ideas.
I would like to create an alternate page that is not flash, but a regular html page with all of the text I want google to read inside it. Somehow I use code to tell it that when a user clicks on the link, to redirect them to the flash webpage, but when a search engine sees it, to send the search engine/google to that regular html page, where it will gather all of the text and then that text will show up on google's page when you do a search and my site on google? Even if this was possible, would google frown upon this and ban me or something?
The other idea I have is to use invisible text at the bottom of my page. This will be regular html text that is the same color as my background. But I heard this can get you banned from search engines like google if you are using lots of keywords, but I wouldn't be using keywords. I'd be using the few sentences of content that their stupid crappy technology doesn't read, forcing me to bust my hump trying to find a workaround for. It sucks that google doesn't even use keywords in my metadata for rankings either. So I can't even use that with them.

I am creating a little map app where you are given information, video and images regarding different campuses in a university. I am using the customContent method to insert video player object into the infoWindow but when I do this it gets rid of my text content and becomes the only visible thing to the user. How Can I work around this and have both text and video in the infoWindow? Demo link

I was wondering if there is a limit to how much Jaws (screen reader) can read in a text area in Flash. my text area contains about 15 lines, and always it stops reading at a certain point. In one test I was deleting one word, and then Jaws read one more for me(since I guess I deleted one). So it looks like there is a limit on how much it can read through AccessibiltyDescription property . How I can make the Jaws to read the whole content in the text area? I am working with flashbuilder and SDK 4.1.

This swf works fine when its not in a google gadget.It will read and write xml as the user interacts wtih it. Why once its embeded inside a gadget will it only read xml? It will not send xml to my file on my server and write a new xml file.[code]...
View 1 RepliesA client has a flash website that they wish to have indexable by google. They are under the impression that google will be able to traverse this swf and get all their content out of it. However their site is very dynamic, it is a front end only for a php/mysql backend, it loads all content via dynamically created xml files based on the http get calls that are made to the api. As far as i understand google does not know how to index a flash site like this. Our recommendation is to use the same api to create a shadow site for the googlebots to crawl and then deeplink to sections of the flash site. They are not convinced.. Does anyone have any proof either FOR or AGAINST this solution? <flattery>I come here because i know this is the definitive source for flash information.</flattery>

I've got a Flex 3 site. When the user clicks one of the buttons on my site, a panel opens and text appears. As the text is not immediately visible, will Google index the content in the panel? (I'm not cloaking or anything weird. It's just the normal functioning of the site).

YouTube videos appear as a white screen when embedded on the page in Chrome. I hear sound.2 The video is normal when I switch to full-screen mode.3. HTML5 videos display normally in Chrome4. Once I instantiate the xml obj and pass in a string that determines the xml name in the constructor for the xml class I read in the xml and populate some arrays. Evidently in AS 3.0 you have listeners for reading in xml, which is the problem I am having. Does AS3 handle connecting to SQL servers and using it's data or do you need an intermediary such as JavaScript to pass information to and from Flash?

I am creating some application in flex and one of my purposes is to read content of file and display it in flex. There is huge problem, when I have file written in polish (which contains some special characters) because amfphp transfers this contents few seconds, which is to long (reading and sending content of file without any polish character if fast).My php code reads any files fast, so problem is on amfphp side. Is there any solution or I have to go with HTTPService and load contents of file directly from flex?
