Professional :: Can't Seem To Attach The Flv And The Files?

This file has been supposedly changed from As2 to As3. It seems as if it used to stop when I first got it. But the links didn't work. When I followed troubleshooting protocols, it started looping non-stop.
Please help. I can't seem to attach the flv and the action script files. All I get from the output window is "Fonts should be embedded for any text that may be edited at runtime, other than text with the "Use Device Fonts" setting. Use the Text > Font Embedding command to embed fonts."

I have a shell.swf and at run time i am attaching a template.swf. In template.swf file have mcMenu Movieclip.I am unable to access the or attach the movieclip at run time getting this error (1180: Call to a possibly undefined method mcMenu.)that movieclip is not available on the stage.... it is in the library of template.swf file.

I have a mc call mcA which visible and invisible alternatively on stage. I want to attach 10 mc (mc1-mc10) in library with this mcA. When mcA is visible it will attach mc4 in library then it is invisible again. The next time it is visible, it attach let say mc7 and so on, we do not know which mc it will attach in the next session it is visible.

how to eliminate previos attach before move to next attach MC..let say as u can see in my code..I just settign the interval..for 2 second..in other to attach the mc on eby one...so how to set up the code so that if the 2nd mc has attach it'll remove the 1st one attach for certain time...and so on..the scenario like this..

after 2 second
mc2 attach --> remove mc1
after 2 second

I installed Flash CS4 Professional trial version for school use. It wouldn't install successfully. I deleted the font files the troubleshooting guide said to, tried again, but gave up. (I'm afraid to run regedit and mess up everything else I have loaded.) (I previously had the Fireworks CS4 trial version loaded, then uninstalled it.) My problem is this- I have it running, but it saves files and then they can't be opened, even if I use the save function often- it's worse when I create the file, test the movie and then save.If I try to open it again, it says "cannot open file." Once it opened a copy I had saved, and it appeared blank, even though it was 544 kb file size. I only need it for a few more days, one more assignment and I'm afraid my previous files are corrupt. I have Windows Vista Home Edition.

I am constructing a Flash animation and I was hoping to build it by scenes. These scenes would be individual SWF movies that I could import into my final Flash file in consequential order and when finished I would have a completed Flash Movie. There would be no interaction beyond Play/and replay. Where can I get information on how to construct this and is this a recomended way to do it?

I have no experience with Adobe Flash because others have done this out of house in the past. (time has come for me to learn - quickly)
I need to simply create "swf" files from a number of videos I have finished in Premiere Pro 5.5.
These videos are 800 x 600 videos that display at "point-of-sale". The spec is swf and not flv.
(I do not need to do anything else in Flash apart from create the video file with the swf extension.)

I have converted a large background image (much larger than the stage) into a Movie Clip. I did this so I can make it scroll as the player traverses to the edge of the scene.This appears to make the player free to roam the entire background image.I have a tree symbol with a class attached to it that blocks player movement.Here is my problem:
When I drag and drop instances of the tree symbol onto the background, the trees are stationary and do not scroll with the background.I do not want to have to implement code to make the trees scroll when the background does.I was wondering if there was a way to simply attach the trees to the background so that if the background moves, the trees move with it and appear to be part of the background as if they were drawn into it.It is convenient for me to be able to drag and drop as many trees as i need to block certain routes on the background from the player.I tried writing code to make the trees move but it was only working for the very last tree that I added to the scene.

i'm trying to figure out how to reset or refresh clips that are dynamically attached to another clip based on records returned through xml.asically if the user chooses a different filter for the database query I need to be able to refresh a scrolling list made up of clips which will be different based on the filter.this is what I have for a function. I try to use "attachEmptyMovieClip" but to no avail

I have several swf files embedded in my website, but they don't display immediately in the browser. The rest of the page (html) displays without delay, but there's always about a 1 or 2 second lag for the swf. Is there a way to optimize the swf files so they load immediately along with the rest of the page?

but while i wait for people to reply to that. i was woundering, on my flash site i want a login page relam status but i have been told i can't make them in flash, cause flash just isn't good, its only good for website images etc, not for login details etc

I'm obviously doing something fundamentally wrong here, but in CS4, to make an .as file, I just chose to make one and started inserting code.
In CS5, when I chose to do so, or try to open a previous .as file, all my coding is greyed out.
How do I access my code, or add new code?

I have downloaded Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Shockwave Player to play some swf files I have downloaded. These files still say that Windows can't open them though and I don't know why. I've tried uninstalling reinstalling etc but the computer doesn't seem to know the Flash Player is there.

My students and I enjoyed importing .mov files and tracing over them as we would embed them in the timeline in flash CS3. This year we upgraded to CS5 and I am finding that we cannot import the .mov files.
Does anyone have a solution for a pipeline like this. Flash seems to want us to convert the files to .flv or something.

Usually when I am looking for a specific field name, section of code or variable, I will run a GREP regex search to search through my ASP files, which works great as they are just stored as plain text, however I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to do the same with ".fla" files.
The GREP search looks through all my files in one go and returns a list of files which match the search terms; but wouldn't work on .fla files as the actionscript is not stored as plain text. Possibly this would work if I converted all my ".fla"s to use seperate ".as" files but this would be a lot of work and I'd rather avoid it if possible.

Not sure that I understand how the Reader engine for AS 3.0 handles "load" requests. Following is a problem that I try to solve for a customer: there a three - 3 - swf files, each contains a short video of 10 sec's in full hd, stage is 1920x1080 px, let's call them a,b and c
The request is the following: start with swf a and let it run, loop, and during that time offer the possibility to select or swf b or swf c to run in stead of a when swf b runs, loops, offer the possibility to select or swf a or swf c to run in stead of b idem for swf c or with words: each of the swf's offer the possibility to invoke one of the 2 other swf's.
I tried various code snippits, and when running a it starts b but a contineous to run, so it seems ihe engine does not pass control to b. Maybe I have to put everything in 1 swf? But that is not what the customers want, he wants the 3 swf's.
