Is there a way when using Actionscript 3 to embed the video player skin into my document so that when I publish it, everything I need to launch the file onto a website is in one swf? When I publish it as it is now, 2 swfs appear, one for my file and one for the video player skin. Can I embed the video player skin so this doesn't happen and I only have to upload the one swf to my website?

When I place a flv into a flash movie and apply a skin and publish everything, it works fine on my local machine, but when uploaded to a server the player skin will not show up, yet the flv shows up and begins playing. Has anyone encountered this before? Isthere a way to embed the skin in the swf instead of having it be

I published a viedo.swf with a skin. I tested the video.swf both - both the html doc and the swf file and the skin is in each.I uploaded to my web server the following:1. video.swf,2. skin.swf3 video.html. and4. the AC_RunActiveContent.jsAll are in the same folder.When I goto the url the the video.html is located I do not see the skin ... on line.
View 4 RepliesI have an .flv file I created and imported it into the Flash timeline and needed to use an Actionscript with it because I need it to loop when it's finished. I exported it to an .swf file but I can't find any way to use the "ClearOverPlayMute.swf" skin with it on my web page.
Flash doesn't export the swf file with any playback skins.
How can we embed the over,up,down etc skins defined as sybols in a .swf file... i mean in skin file how can i specify those symbols to be used as up,over,down skins.

I know the way to add flv file by creating FLVPlayback component. But in this case we always need to depend on the source path of corresponding file. I am not able to find any kind of solution for this. View 4 RepliesWe're currently developing a small Flash application to display our company's capabilties. This application will be stored on a small USB thumb drive that we give to our potential clients. When the thumb drive is accessed, users will see two folders "Media" and "Other"; and an SWF file entitled "Start." There is; however, one more file that displays: the interface/skin file that we used for our FLV videos (entitled "SkinUnderPlaySeekStop.swf"). If this file is not included in the same location as the main SWF file, the interface/skin will not display on the video.
We would like only the two folders and the main SWF file to be displayed on the root of the thumb drive. Is there anyway to move the interface/skin file into another folder (for example, the "Other" folder) and call it up from that location within the original FLA file?
Flash Player Detection Kit ( http:/url......... ). I would like to embed the detection process in just one file. Hence how can I embed a detection code into the flash file, so once its exported to swf, it'll have the detection code already and no additional files are needed?
View 5 RepliesI imported a .mov file into a .swf file and it works great. Then I embedded the .swf file into a web page. Again, it seemed to work fine--at least works fine when I open it in a browser locally. However, after I upload everything to the server, the .swf file seems to be okay, but the embedded video no longer works. I triple checked that all of the links are correct, all of the files are uploaded (including the embedded video) but nothing works.

I can use flash ok to build stuff, but I usually just build a flash presentation with movieclips and buttons all contained in the one file. I have never had to put my creations onto cd-rom before. So now I am looking at a CD-rom and seeing how someone else has done it and I see that all the .swf files are separated, as will as sound and video. I thought the only reason to do this would be to be able to access and change for example and mp3. without having to open the flash file, but I am thinking there are other reasons?

I am customzining a Flash FLV Player skin and everything is basically done and working according to play.My two questions are the seek bar appears to be shorter than the movie length despite the fact that I expanded both instances of it on the FLA of the skin itself?The second question is -- what AS could I use to display the time code of the movie as "0:00" if I wanted to have that appear too?

View 14 RepliesProblem: Users of our web app are complaining how hard it is to get past Flash Player's Security Panel when they want to make video calls. (Personally, I don't see why it's hard.) We tried several things to guide them through the process, including callouts pointing to the Security Panel area with specific instructions and even an auto-play video. But still some don't get it. I think the biggest confusion is the "Close" button. Users think that it will close the app or the entire window.
Solution #1: It's possible that part of the problem is the small size and styling of the Security Panel.Is it possible to apply a style or skin to the Security Panel, so that it's larger and looks more consistent to our web app?
Solution #2: Perhaps there's also a non-technical solution. Has anyone seen a good implementation of a web app that make it easy for non-technical users to make video calls?

I have CS5.5, know very little about Flash, and can't find the answer to this anywhere. I know how to go into Flash, create an ActionScript 3 project, save it, imort a video, add a skin and export it. However, the result is two files. Not what I want.

Making a piano/keyboard application and trying to figure out the best way to set this up .I plan on having a directory of sounds for each 'instrument' in my assets folder (piano1/C4.mp3,piano1/D4.mpg,...)Is there a way to import/embed all of these as an array? Also is there a way I can pass a variable to this class to indicate which folder I want to import these from? Something that would be ideal
