Professional :: .gif Not Being Published Correctly?
Oct 30, 2011I created an animation in Flash CS5 and tried to publish it as a .gif. For some reason,there's a dark box around the moving text, as you can see.

Jul 16, 2010I have created a small flash move 40px x 40px and placed a movieclip in the centre of the stage. When I publish the file it positions the movieclip to the right of the published window. Apr 30, 2009I am loading external swf files into a single container( Instance: contents). when I test the movie inside flash it works fine but when I use the generated swf outside flash one of the swf files don't unload the way it is supposed to and therefor the other swfs can't load either. The swf file that dose not unload, contains videos using xml with a list component. Actually I used the tutorial from this website (Flash Video Basics). Here is the code I am using. It is probably kind of crude but I don't understand why it works only when I test the movie.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Preview Ok But Published SWF Not Display Correctly
Dec 8, 2010I have tried to develop my first flash project using Actionscript 3.0. When I "Publish Preview" (HTML - Default, Flash and HTML) in Flash CS5 Pro, the project seems to work just fine. However, when I actually publish the project the html with the swf file does not display correctly. The flash file is suppose to show a video with a video control skin (play, pause etc.) beneath the video. On the video I have tried to embed a button at the bottom of the display that, when clicked, takes the user to a webpage.
The flash file is suppose to look like the one at: [URL]. This is just an image of the "Publish Preview" output.
What I get with the published html and swf file is at: [URL]. Just the button displays???

Professional :: Loaders Won't Show When Published As .EXE?
Aug 25, 2010My main project loads an external .swf ("room") depending on which button the user clicks. Once that external .swf ("room") is loaded, the viewer chooses a ("demo") .swf to view. For each button click, a loader is to appear showing the viewer that the desired room or demo is loading. All of this works fine for the web...please click the link below to view. The problem exists when I try to publish as an .EXE. We'd like to send these out to prospects on CD and thus I need an .EXE to autorun when insterted in a PC. I've publised the main .SWF (overhead map) as an .EXE and burned a cd containing all necessary files. Now when the user clicks a room and then a demo, the loader that shows up fine on the web does not appear.

May 22, 2010I produced an ActionScript 3.0, Flash Player 10 swf in a newly downloaded CS5 (trial version). The file loads fine in both Chrome and Safari on my computer. But when I open it on another machine I only get five animated dots - ..... - in a "wait while loading" manner. The swf never starts. Same on my brother's computer.
My browser has Flash Player 10,1,52,14 installed along with CS5 (swf works). My other computer claims to have Flash Player 10,1,53,38 installed (swf doesn't work). My brother's computer has Flash Player 10,0,45,2 (swf doesn't work).I've tried various publish configs such as on/off xml meta data, on/off hidden layers, embed minimal or more of my font etc.When I configure for ActionScript 2.0 and/or Flash Player 9 my animation breaks totally.

Jan 14, 2011I want to take a simple published animation and put it into SONY VEGAS. However, I only want the character (I've created a symbol for it) and not the big white stage. My goal is to get the animated character on top of all my sony vegas layers, but the stage is blocking all the other layers. Jan 25, 2011My flash design crashes! I published everytime I finished few steps. First few publications in html/ swf were okay, but after a few new steps the things all went wrong: the button went missing, the whole did not stop at frame1 as in my action script, some of the images went missing. I then deleted new steps hoping to get the thing back to normal, but it remained. After every futile effort I did (restarted pc, republished, saved as...), I suspected that there are BUGS whether in flash or in my pc, I did an experiment by simply creating a new layer and inserting an image in the layer, I published, and this time all the images has gone!

Jul 19, 2011I have six Scenes, each scene has an imported FLV file.I have a 6 button menu that works fine when clicking from one scene to the other.The problem is is that videos 1 to 4 play fine when I switch to the scene, but FLV files 5 and 6 just stay paused at frame 1.If I test the Scene using Ctrl+ALT+Enter, the Scenes work fine.But Only if I either hit Ctrl+Enter to render the whole project, or if I publish the file, do the FLV files pause on frame 1.All 6 videos are coded exactly the same way.

Jun 16, 2010I am running Windows 7/64 and Master Collection. I've created a clip of DV NTSC footage to test F4V publishing. Done this many times with CS3 and flv files but this has me stumped. I can successfully view the video and web page locally in IE and Netscape but on upload to my server I have the menu and placement right but no video appears. I created the clip in Premiere Pro CS5 and exported to F4V/FLV best quality. Opened an Actionscript Media DV NTSC template in Flash Pro CS5 and imported the video which I had pre-placed in my root web folder locally. I then exported the swf and saved the fla. All files were then in my root folder and the scrpts in the scripts folder. In Live View in Dreamweaver CS5 all looked fine. In each browser locally the video played as expected. Once all files were uploaded the video was not visible.

Professional :: Published A Swf Or HTML File From Flash (on Mac) That Contains Flv Video Can Only Play On Mac?
Feb 28, 2012I created a flash file that contains a flv file inside. After I published it on my Mac in both html and swf format and it played well. But when I copied all this folder include the swf, html and the source flv to test on a pc it played well but the video part (flv) was blank. So I copied the .fla file to pc and published again, then it works fine (including the flv video part) on both pc and Mac. All the settings were same while publishing.So I wonder what's wrong with publish from Mac side? I work with Mac and so it's very inconvenient to publish my work on PC.

Jun 1, 2011I have an MP3 file in Flash 5.5 that I have edited in the properties panel of the frame where the sound is...I basically cut a couple seconds off the beginning by editing the timeline. It plays fine when I'm in Flash, but when I publish the movie, the sound is published unedited.

Professional :: Imported A Gif But It Does Not Play Correctly?
Jun 18, 2010I have imported a gif but it does not play correctly. It's only two frames. The first bmp associated with the gif in the library has both slides combined while the second bmp is correct.To show the issue I am having. Here is the 2frame gif playing correctly:[URL]Now here is a screen shot of my library:[URL] You can see how the highlights bmp is incorrect. When I play the gif in Firefox,IE, Ulead gif animator or anywhere else it is fine but in Flash it shows that first frame with the combined slides and then the 2nd slide correctly. It ruins the "dancing effect" I'm going for.

I imported the .FLV file in Flash:ImportVideo> *.flv > Added SkinBarMenu with FullScreen Button > Replaced the remote address instead of local address: http:[url]......I rescaled the video at 720x405pixels and also the Flash Document to fit it.I included the video in the webpage with Dreamweaver, with FullScreen playback properties.When I playback the video on the website, it appears at 720x405pixels;
- When I click on FullScreen button, the video become up-scaled from 720x405px and loose the resolution?- Or at FullScreen, I can view it at the original resolution of 1024x576pixels, in the same manner as when it is imported in Flash?
- Such Flash video behavior, is the same as YouTube videos? (From small, it become hi-res at FullScreen, conserving original dimensions)?

Nov 5, 2010I've got a page with a very simple movie, it contains a text on some rows and an image.The text must be shown centered inside the page and must keep its aspect ratio if the browser is resized.The image mus be always placed at the bottom right corner of the window, not of the text area.
I can't obtain both of them, I can have the image always at the corner (placing it through AS3), but I have the text stretched when I resize the browser, or I can have the text always keeping its aspect ratio, but the image is not placed at the corner of the winwdow.I've also tried to have only the text on the movie and to place the image as html page's background, but the movie goes above the image and hides it.
Professional :: FLA File Is Not Correctly Converted To Animated GIF
Mar 2, 2010I'm begining with flash (flash CS4 pro), I have created a fla file with a mxp filter which makes waves (I found the effect on "flash-filter.net"). I've done the setup for publishing (animated gif + swf)
When I publish the animated gif, I get a non-animated gif with the logo of "flash-filter.net" at the top of the image. ( I've also tried to download the swf with real player, same effect : I have a static video with the same logo )

Jul 12, 2010I'm creating a project with a number of different sections. I've created a index menu with invisible buttons on that takes you to the different sections. This works fine. In each section I wonted a means to get back to this index, so created a index button that is present throughout each section. I've put the event handler in the actions layer on the same frame that the button instance is on (frame 15).

Professional :: Text Not Displaying Correctly On Publish?
Aug 4, 2010I recently hired a programmer to design a flash health calculator for my website. It works great and text shows up correctly when viewing online and standalone. The problem starts when I try to edit the file. I wanted to change some text in an action layer. That seems to work out fine but when I try to publish I get garbled text.
I should also mention that when loading the file I get a Font Mapping dialog box stating "The document 'x' contains one or more fonts not available on your system. The text will display and publish with the font mapping below:". I have tried to select various fonts in this dialog box but still get garbled text.
When I publish I also get this on the Output box: "Fonts should be embedded for any text that may be edited at runtime, other than text with the "Use Device Fonts" setting. Use the Text > Font Embedding command to embed fonts."
Professional :: Unable To Safe File Correctly?
Sep 19, 2010in my timeline i have two orbs transforming into arrows. it works, i watch it, then i'm like, ok, all good time to save. i save. exit/open, and come to find that my orbs were not transforming. i looked on the timeline and they are not set to transform, so i redid the shape tween, save,exit open and the same thing. so why won't my file save the shape tweens? i'm previewing it in cs5.
--edit--for some reason it works in the swf file, but not the fla file.
