I am trying to publish a flash file onto a website but once I post it there it keeps looping. How do I get it so that it doesn't loop? I have a feeling it's a setting in Flash that I have to find before I publish it but I don't know where it would be or if there even is one.

View 4 RepliesI created a flash file that contains a flv file inside. After I published it on my Mac in both html and swf format and it played well. But when I copied all this folder include the swf, html and the source flv to test on a pc it played well but the video part (flv) was blank. So I copied the .fla file to pc and published again, then it works fine (including the flv video part) on both pc and Mac. All the settings were same while publishing.So I wonder what's wrong with publish from Mac side? I work with Mac and so it's very inconvenient to publish my work on PC.
View 5 RepliesI have made an animation, when i veiwed it as a preveiw in flash CS4 it works fine.So I published it as both a HTML fie and SWF.The HTML file runs perfectly fine, but the SWF file is missing almost all of the illustrations and the play button at the begining, the sounds all work fine however.

View 1 Repliesi am facing problem with internet explorer and google chrome, viewing my flash document. When i test my flash document on IE, it simply does not show my flash work at all. Instead this show up:
and on google chrome i have just click on screen for it to show otherwise nothing happens.
I've created a startup screen for a CD and have published it to exe format. When it plays from the CD however, it opens in a Flash Player 10 window. I am wanting to create a standalone splash screen without the Flash Player bar along the top.
View 3 RepliesMy flash design crashes! I published everytime I finished few steps. First few publications in html/ swf were okay, but after a few new steps the things all went wrong: the button went missing, the whole did not stop at frame1 as in my action script, some of the images went missing. I then deleted new steps hoping to get the thing back to normal, but it remained. After every futile effort I did (restarted pc, republished, saved as...), I suspected that there are BUGS whether in flash or in my pc, I did an experiment by simply creating a new layer and inserting an image in the layer, I published, and this time all the images has gone!

View 1 RepliesI have an MP3 file in Flash 5.5 that I have edited in the properties panel of the frame where the sound is...I basically cut a couple seconds off the beginning by editing the timeline. It plays fine when I'm in Flash, but when I publish the movie, the sound is published unedited.

I recently modified a single page website for a family member (for fun). View 5 Repliesi have a question that is almost like other questions but with a small but very important difference. how can i restrict file types for user with a popup showed in the browser.
The standard file input of html can limit that with a command but it does not work in all browser so it is not an option. I do not want to validate the file extension after the user has chosen a file but before that, when he is choosing.[URL].. but it uploads the file after the user has chosen it, i do not want to do that, i want to upload it after the user submits the form.
So the problem looks like this that there are some ways of not letting the user send a not valid file but they are not good because, one is that i validate after the user have chosen the file and the other is that i upload the file before the user submits the form.
I just want a simple thing to not letting to "chose" a not valid file, it does not matter if it will be made with java script or flash, just let it work.

how do i command the file to play back in a continous loop? at present it plays and then rewinds back to the begining.
i have investigated some of the .FLV parameters but can't seem to find the control / command i'm looking for.
I have two buttons and an swf file (a movie I created in After Effects). I want to do the following:
-When the page loads I would like the swf file (the TV) the stay frozen on frame 1 (the picture of the child's face).
-When the mouse is rolled-over the "Home" button, I want the swf file (the TV) to play frames 2-59, and loop on these frames until the mouse is rolled-off the "Home" button.
-When the mouse rolls off of the "Home" button I want the swf file (the TV) to instantly go back to frame 1 and stay on frame 1 until the mouse rollsover another button.
If the mouse rolls over the "Products" button, I want the TV to loop frames 60-109, and again instantly go back to frame 1 when the mouse is rolled-off the "Products" button. I will use these buttons as a template, copy and paste them, so that I can easily make different segments of the TV play when different buttons are rolled-over. Please take a look at the fla file [URL]. The fla file is a little large (about 23 megs).
The Flash file that I've attached plays very slow on my other, older computers. It plays fine on mine, but these older computers play other flash files (i.e adobe.com) fine. I want to know if I'm missing something here as to how making this play efficiently. I understand that I am using photographs - rasterized images - but, is it really supposed to take that much power to play it?
View 1 RepliesMy main project loads an external .swf ("room") depending on which button the user clicks. Once that external .swf ("room") is loaded, the viewer chooses a ("demo") .swf to view. For each button click, a loader is to appear showing the viewer that the desired room or demo is loading. All of this works fine for the web...please click the link below to view. The problem exists when I try to publish as an .EXE. We'd like to send these out to prospects on CD and thus I need an .EXE to autorun when insterted in a PC. I've publised the main .SWF (overhead map) as an .EXE and burned a cd containing all necessary files. Now when the user clicks a room and then a demo, the loader that shows up fine on the web does not appear.

Currently, the loaded swf is abble to load "c:/Windows/regedit.exe" and I don't want it (neither sending informations on the network).

I have made a webpage with Flash AS3 and published it in HTML. What can I do to fit it on any screen with any resolution? My page is 800x600 and I would like to have it fit to screen in both dimensions (x and y) or in one dimention on any screen. I prefer not to stretch it on screen.By stretching, the images will be deformed and I don't want it.

View 2 RepliesI received a flash file of a slider to change out one of the photos. I was able to change the photo but the published file won't show any of images. Here is the link to the file Test.fla .
It uses two greensock classes as well (included) which weren't included when the client sent the file over so I had to find and download it myself. It outputs "-440.6 1" which is over my head.

I produced an ActionScript 3.0, Flash Player 10 swf in a newly downloaded CS5 (trial version). The file loads fine in both Chrome and Safari on my computer. But when I open it on another machine I only get five animated dots - ..... - in a "wait while loading" manner. The swf never starts. Same on my brother's computer.
My browser has Flash Player 10,1,52,14 installed along with CS5 (swf works). My other computer claims to have Flash Player 10,1,53,38 installed (swf doesn't work). My brother's computer has Flash Player 10,0,45,2 (swf doesn't work).I've tried various publish configs such as on/off xml meta data, on/off hidden layers, embed minimal or more of my font etc.When I configure for ActionScript 2.0 and/or Flash Player 9 my animation breaks totally.
Mu published FLASH html files will not scroll when minimized. I tried changing the publishing setting to pixels but that doesn't work.
View 11 RepliesI want to take a simple published animation and put it into SONY VEGAS. However, I only want the character (I've created a symbol for it) and not the big white stage. My goal is to get the animated character on top of all my sony vegas layers, but the stage is blocking all the other layers. Is there some kind of setting that can make the stage transparent when publishing as a SWF?
View 3 RepliesI have a simple static text MovieClip that is masked in the timeline the traditional way - layer above the text layer has a rectangle and that layer is set to mask. This looks fine in the timeline while authoring. As soon as I publish it as Flash 9, the text disappears
