I have an application developed using flash and php. When i run it from flash IDE it works fine. But, when i publish it in swf and html and try it from browser its not working.
I am using wamp server and flash 8 i tried both, http://localhost/ http://127.0.0.1/
Further information. The system does not have internet connection.
I work with Flash Pro allmost 11 hours per day and every while i get a error which messes up everything. Approximetly i get this after about 2-3 hours withevery project.After i get this error there is no chance to test movies afterwards.I see a fast flash of the loader window but it dissapears so fast i cant even really see if it is loader.

And i'm happy with that, but, it can't read javascript or the necessary components for a "basic" browser. So i wonder if there is any kind of solution for my web browser so it can view pages and execute javascript features.

I am using Chinese /Japanese text in this Now the problem is that when i run it in the flash it loads those pages and when i load it in the browser then that file doesn't load anything.
I made an as3.0 website in Flash cs4. [URL]The content of the pages is placed in a ScrollPane component, that comes with cs4. It all works fine in Chrome, Opera and IE but Firefox and Safari only show the top-left 100x100px.
Here's how it works.index.html holds a variable that tells my flash where to go (agenda, djs, bookings etc.). index.html loads preloader.swf via swfObject. Preloader.swf loads theKitchen.swf and passes a variable to it so it knows where to go, and triggers the init() function.

In the "mainswf" then comes some if/else statements to build the desired page. If you click a button in the menu a function is triggered with an if/else statement that checks if the page that belongs to that button isnt allready shown. If its false the source of the ScrollPane is set to that page.Every page is build in a seperate class. The class ready an XML file that holds all the text/urls to images/ video.
I want to know if there is a method to change swf to gif. I tried to import swf file into stage or library under Adobe Flash CS4 Professional,and export it to gif,but I can't import swf.How to import swf? Is there a free software to change swf to gif?
View 1 RepliesI've gone through the whole rigamarole of creating a provisioning profile and P12 developer key, I've exported the app as an .ipa file, and I've added the .ipa file to my iTunes Library. It shows up there under "Apps."However, the app does not appear on the iPhone: not even if I Sync the thing through iTunes. Double-clicking the app in iTunes does nothing. Right-clicking yields only the options "Get Info," "Show in Windows Explorer" and "Delete." If I attempt to drag it onto the iPhone, the mouse cursor changes to a cancel symbol.I am using the latest version of iTunes, and my iPhone is running the latest version of iOS (4.2.1). I don't know what's going on, but it's driving me nuts.

View 4 RepliesI have been working on a full flash website for a while, and been testing it using the Ctrl + Enter command to export it to swf. Today I was working on the file making some text modifications, but when I tried to test the website, nothing happens. It shows the progress window, but after a while nothing happens, It wont show the swf test file, and It doesn't create the swf file in any way. I tried the other commands: file-publish, file-export to swf with no success. I'm using Flash CS4 professional (10.0.2) on Windows Vista Home Premium 32Bit. Other .fla files export swf with no problem, and the Swf preview (Ctrl + Enter) works fine. It's only in this file.
View 7 RepliesI am trying to embed a 3rd party flash component into my current flash project. As a stand alone, the component works fine but when I try and import the xml file for the component into my current flash project library, the message I get:
" one or more files were not imported because there were problems reading them" I have tried importing the xml file into another dummy cs4 project on another machine and again no success, so I believe there are elements within the xml file that will not work with cs4. Below is the xml file code.

I have beginner's skills in AS3 and have been trying out a sample script in Flash CS5 to create an animation. The script works fine, but I am not sure how to give the user the ability to pause the animation by clicking on the screen and then resuming the animation by clicking again (if this toggling is even possible for a click event handler to do). Is there a way to pause/continue a function by clicking the player screen?
View 10 RepliesHave had a flash site created for a disc that works perfectly. Every component of the site works just as it is expected to.
But when I upload the site to a server on the Internet, one component does not work. When you click on the link an image should open in a popup window. The popup window opens but the image does not appear.
Unfortunately, we have not been able to figure out why it works on the disc and not on the server.
A new glitch (amongst the millions I already have) in CS4, is that recently i will be unable to clear keyframes. I usualy do this by selecting the keyframes in the timeline, right clicking and selecting 'clear keyframes' but it's greyed out frequently, I can't work out why this is and I don't know of a cure/ work around for this? I tend to just go in and out of symbols until it works. this is sucbh a pain.
View 7 Repliestrying to set the stage with a color from the classic window and properties. However when I select a stage color it remains white, and will not change. I have tried everything I know how to do like uninstalling and re-nstalling, going through the endless files and forums.

View 7 RepliesWhen using the bone tool, I have been fairly successful in working with either a shape or a selection of symbols. However, I am unable to connect a shape to a symbol. Is this possible with the bone tool or am I barking up the wrong tree? If not, is there some sort of work-around when part of the animation is constructed from symbols and part is constructed from shapes?

View 1 Replieshave trouble with the Alpha slider (Color Effect>Alpha) not going all the way to 0% or 100%? A lot of the time, I can only get up to 99% or down to 1%, even if I manually enter values into the textbox accompanying the slider. Some of the time, it will not even take a manual entry in the textbox. For example, if the slider is set at 65%, I can enter 0%, and it will just go right back to 65%.

View 4 RepliesI have upgraded my CS4 to CS5 on MAC OSX and i'm having problems saving new and existing fla files. It doesnt always do it but it's very anoying when you have done some work and are unable to save it.
I get this message:
unable to save document as (file name)
please try saving to a different filename or location.
even if i try to save as to a different location i get the same message, this ONLY happens in flash CS5 and does not do it on any other application or even flash CS4. To put it bluntly i am absolutely furious with this and when you pay this amount of money should not get this hassle for such a simple action.
I have tried phoneing the adobe support line and it's a joke, you can't even understand the operator to even get anywhere and i just gave up having to repeat myself and asking them to repeat themselves.
I would be grateful if someone out there knows an answer to this or have a contact email for adobe support that i can email them direct. As a flash developer it's critical i can get on with my work without worrying if my work will even save.
UPDATE: I can save files in CS5 as CS4 documents but not as CS5, this is so annoying.
while ago I made a created a basic effect in Flash CS4 whereby a selection of logos on my web-page gradually disappeared (in the same spot, not shrinking in size first or any other of the effects displayed in the motion presets) think this was done by some kind of preset but it doesn't seem to be in the motion presets panel. I can not seem to remember how it was done and I can't find the relevant settings. I don't know ActionScript so it was definitely a preset.Enclosed are some screen shots of the effect that I mean (stages every few seconds until they completely disappear).
View 1 Repliesin my timeline i have two orbs transforming into arrows. it works, i watch it, then i'm like, ok, all good time to save. i save. exit/open, and come to find that my orbs were not transforming. i looked on the timeline and they are not set to transform, so i redid the shape tween, save,exit open and the same thing. so why won't my file save the shape tweens? i'm previewing it in cs5.
--edit--for some reason it works in the swf file, but not the fla file.
I have created a .fla with a stage that is 650px by 550px, and everything looks good.Problem is when I play it back in a browser of flash player it crops the movie and cuts off some of it.
View 1 RepliesI've recently picked up the opportunity to develop a simple little application for a company that makes cupcake wedding cakes. They want to be able to take a laptop to a client and sit with them to design the look of the cakes - colour, topping, etc. End result is a saved written preference, along with an image of their design. I've assumed Flash is the best bet for something like this. Although I've dabbled in Flash and have experience in coding, I've yet to pick it up fully. The version I have is Flash MX. I've assumed I could create a movieclip representing a single cake, that is then replicated over the stack of cakes? A simple set of options on a side panel would let the user pick colour, amount, etc. Firstly, will Flash (MX) let me save out a 'screengrab' of the movie as something that could then be saved to, say, a JPG? And I assume that writing the variable choices to something like a text file would be no problem..
