I am trying to figure out how to change the pitch of a sound in Standing Wave 3 actionscript library. I have imported a sound at 440hz(A) and am trying to change it's pitch to say a (C) note.

How do I infinitely loop an mp3 file in standing wave. I've tried LoopSource with SoundGenerators etc, but I've had no luck. I can find no usage examples in the documentation or online of someone looping anInfinitely mp3:

I'm making a game and there's one last thing I need to add, but have no clue of how to do it.You can move the mc with arrow keys and when it hits a certain object I want the mc to stand still (be on-moveable) for 2 seconds or something.
How can I make that mc stands still for a few seconds and then after those seconds make it moveable again?

I have two frames. the first frame is on running movement of the character and the second frame is on standing position.This two frames has only one kind of character,but I seperated the two movement in two frames witch are running and standing positon.my problem is how can I do the mouseEvent,if onclick the character will continue on running and if on release the character will do is to standing position.

After browsing the documentation for the sound classes, it seems there is no way to control sound pitch with Actionscript 3.0. there is only the ability to control volume and pan. why is there no pitch property? it's the only sound property missing for the ability to create a full featured sound engine in Actionscript?
i hope i'm misinformed, but in case i'm not are there any alternatives / workarounds to control pitch in AS3?

I'm working the last two weeks on a module which uses computeSpecturm() to analyze FFT data from a mic. I'm currnetly trying to figure out a way to detect the pitch on each 'sample' of this sound. Does any one know how to find the fundamental frequencty or how to use auto-correclation on the FFT to get the pitch?

I'm looking for a way to play a sound with slightly altering pitch to make it more "interesting" (read: tolerable).
I've previously used it with great results in java programming with the Slick library. Simply asked the sound to be played at 0.9 - 1.1 of original pitch (1 = default), gave a subtle but awesome effect.

I have a project where I dynamically generate a single tone and have to alter its frequency as the scene progresses. All the ways I have tried so far result in a clicking or popping noise when the tone's frequency changes. Does anyone have some source code for a way to change the frequency without the irritating click/pop noises?

I'm developing using Actionscript 3.0 for Flash Player 10.3.I'm using computeSpectrum() on a loaded .mp3. Running *Event.ENTER_FRAME* to get snapshots of each sample in an byteArray.The ByteArray contains 512 values (256 for each channel). These values are FFT Spectrum, ranging from 0 to 1.I can't use the peak frequency for each of the samples (as I found found out!) because the highest value is not necessarily the fundamental frequency. As a result I'm getting lots of random values all over the place.Of course I'm getting some correct too, but that's not enough.

i am having this very big problem(for my particular application). i am writing this music application in flash and i use as2 to load randomly specific sounds which are in the same folder as the movie. the problem is that i need the sound to be replayed with fidelity and it seems flash is lowering the pitch of the "music" by a halfstep(it does the same when "previewing" it from the library). musically speaking, if i have an mp3 containing A at 440 hz played with piano timbre, Flash will lower it and when it is played through the flash player is its played as a G sharp(35 hz lower). I thought that if i will replace the attachSound with loadSound and the sound will be loaded externally and not from the library the problem will be solved. it seems that this won't solve the probem. the sound just doesn't want to be played at the frequency it has in the file from which is loaded. i had read somewhere that this is a flash player's bug.

I'm trying to change a Flash animation into a Quicktime movie to post to YouTube, which I've done with a much smaller file, but have had trouble with a larger 2.6M file. When testing Flash movie I get dialog box saying- Content will not stream... Change Runtime Shared Library Library > Advanced ActionScript 3.0 in Publish Settings. So I enter Publish Settings, on Formats I leave Flash and HTML checked. Select center tab for Flash, click on settings for ActionScript 3.0 in scripting box. In Advanced ActionScript Settings dialog at the bottom I've tried changing the Runtime Shared Library drop down to the Merged into Code option but it didn't help. The other option is the Preloader Method, where I think the problem is, but when it is changed form Preloader SWF to custom the Preloader SWF box at the very bottom empties and when the movie is published I get a warning of no Librarys linked and when movie is played int the Quicktime player some of the animations fragment and leave the fragment as remnants.

I am working on a project that some one else created. There were very orgainized, but my question is this: There is a starburst shape, and in the property inspector it is labeling as yellow burst, and that's how it shows in the library. But one instance of it is red in the movie, and I can not find it to change or delete as they called everything dynamically. how this was done, or how I might locate this object?

is it posssible to change the colour of a movie in the library, the same as you would an instance? At the moment I have a site I am working on where I want users to be able to change the colour scheme..I have a on(press) do function change colour.however when you go to a different scene it doesn't cary over the new colour.So I am thinking that I have to set a a var with the colour I have changed to, and call that var at the beging of each scene, does that sound right? I wanted a random colour, I thought that if I put the random colour into the function that each time the button is pressed that calls the function the colour would be different, but this is not the case.[code]

I need to change text in all textfields in my .fla file (Flash CS3).Looks like i should call JSFL function "fl.findObjectInDocByType("text", fl.getDocumentDOM())" and it would return all elements, but it returns zero length array. I there any another way to iterate threw all library items, and change values of TextField's in MovieClips ?

I'm working on an animation where some guys sings and in order to make that look good, i need some good lip syncing. Since this is not short clips, but a whole song on 2-3 minutes, it's very hard for me to make the lip sync perfect because I have to replay from the beginning in order to hear the music. So question one is: Are there a way that I can play the movie in the middle and still hear the music? And so the second question is that I can barely see the sound waves in the Music layer, even though there's lots of music. Here's a picture of how big the sound waves are: And that's in the middle of the song! The problem is not that the music is too low, because it's quite high. So question number two is: Are there a way that I can make the soundwaves bigger in the music layer without affecting the music itself?

I am implementing this code for drawing the sound wave. It is in the adobe livedocs at soundmixer . My problem is how to widen up the sound wave? For example I would like it to be 655 pixels. I can change it to draw to different channels and also change the height of the drawing but cannot find how to change the width of the whole drawing
