Apr 11, 2012I have created a live stream using Amazon Web Services and Adobe Flash Media Server 4.5.AWS provides me with both a .f4m and .m3u8 file, to use in <object><embed> and <video> tags, respectively.The .f4m loads fine on my desktop browser, and the .m3u8 file loads fine on my iOS device. However, my Android devices will not load either file. What code/solutions are there to get this to play on Android devices?[code]

Aug 19, 2011I'm trying to develop a p2p (RTMFP) webcam chat application with AS3 and FMS. For test purposes I've been using "rtmfp://p2p.rtmfp.net" and now I'll use FMS on Amazon AWS.hat I couldn't understand is which application type should I use on FMS? There is four preconfigured application types on FMS, these are live, livepkgr, multicast and vod. I guess live or multicast but I cannot choose between them, I'm a little bit confused. Or maybe I don't have to setup any application?My application scenerio is; a user will connect to FMS and webservice and will get other person's farID from webservice and will be on audio/video chat with remote side as he sends stream. (with one person) Pretty much like sample Cirrus application.Also I've another issue, I also want to publish one person's (consultant in my case) video to several people (customers) at the same time (one to many), customers won't publish any video or audio, they'll only watch and hear consultant. Can I use RTMFP and P2P for that? I guess it will insanely increase publishers bandwidth needs, so should I use streaming on FMS and let customers to get stream from FMS

Sep 27, 2011I managed to run the FMS on an EC2 instance and I am able to use admin console. So I think I can say, that the server is running. Now I want to connect to the multicast application, which is delivered with the FMS as an example, via RTMFP. I can't get it to work... With an FMS 4.5 development server I didn't experience such problems. It seems to be a problem with the AWS. It might be, that I missed something to configure

Dec 15, 2010I just set up a new copy of the official Adobe Amazon Machine Image for FMS4.One show stopper: it seems to require a license key in fms.ini, just like any other FMS4 install.The master log file has "invalid license key" in it. We tried giving it the "Activation key" no dice.There's a license directory in /opt/adobe/fms with 3 .bin files.We tried entering the path to that directory for the license no dice.The docs don't say anything about it.I've spent over 3 hours being transferred around Adobe and listening to elevator music(code).........

I signed up for the service here:[URL] I have some simple questions on getting it started --- namely: do I create the FMIS instance myself now that I've signed up, or do I need to go ahead and create it? I see under the EC2 tab I can create an instance under 'Community AMIs' for adobe-flashmediaserver-useast/fms-4.0.1.8011-centos-5.5-ami-1.manifes t.xml Is this what I want? I realize this is a bit of a noob question.
once installed what I'm trying to do is to add a folder for AVChat into /opt/macromedia/fms/applications/ ([URL]). I am assuming that once I do have this instance running, I can move/modify files on the server instance.

* Installed Adobe flash media live encoder

* In stream given as "livestream"
* when i click connect the follwing error is displaying " Invalid primary FMSURL "

Jul 20, 2009I have Adobe Flash Media Server 3.01 installed on my server. I can record files via user's webcam and convert them to .flv with spesific compression sizes. But i want my users my users to upload an .avi, .mpeg / .mpg, .mov etc file via an http form and after upload finishes i want fms to convert file to flv.
It can be done with the ffmpeg tool free but i wonder if interactive server has a feature like this.

However I cannot use .dll on Linux but I can possibly use the .so files .... so can you verify that FMS 4.5 HLS for Apple/IOS devices works on Linux by installing just the 3 .so files below? If it is in short why don't i need the .dll? I don't spend days trying to install FMS 4.5 in a way that is not documented or tested by you. Also is installing FMS 4.5 and HLS for Adobe/IOS devices possible on IIS? Where do i get instructions for IIS?

Aug 4, 2009We are streaming live events encoding using H.264, so therefore we have to save the file as a .f4v. However, whenever I try to play the file, I keep getting a "playback failed" in Adobe Media Player. What could I be missing? Is there anything else I need to do in Flash Media Live Encoder?

If I understand this correctly, if I terminate, I lose all my setup instructions and would have to pay the $5 one-time fee once I restart. Is this correct?How can I setup my instance so I can stop it? I've looked at the support page and it says that I need to have my instance backed up with EBS rather than S3.
