Actionscript 3 :: Cryptography - Library For Working With SHA 256 Hash

Aug 14, 2011

I'm looking for an easy way to compute SHA 256 in Action Script on the BlackBerry PlayBook. I saw the mx.data.crypto.SHA256 class that seems fit for the purpose but it looks like it is not available on the standard PlayBook libraries, or do I need to import any specific SWF? More generaly, if you know of an easy-to-use cryptographic library for Action Script, I'd welcome that too.

Flex :: Stop TabNavigator From Adding HASH To URL

Dec 21, 2009

I have a TabNavigator component that keeps added a hash (#) to the URL. I need to prevent this. I have it set to historyManagementEnabled="false" but it is still adding the # to the URL when it initializes. The reason why adding this hash is such a problem is because, I am using .htaccess to give my URL a pretty URL like domain.com/designer/category/product/id when the page is really located at domain.com/product.php?pid=id So in order for my assets to load correctly I had to add a base tag like this:
<base href="[URL]" />
But since I have this base tag set, whenever my flex app adds the # to the URL, the page is now automatically redirected to the homepage. Any way to stop the TabNavigator from adding the # to the URL.

ActionScript 2.0 :: [CS3] RemoveMovieClip Not Working For One Particular Library Item?

Feb 27, 2008

I built a website for our company, but because my boss kept adding stuff as I was building, the navigation-function became a total mess. On top of that, the need has risen to make the site multi-lingual, and I would like to get the back-button and deep-linking to work properly.So, I decided to rewrite the navigation-function using the exanimo stateManager. The site structure basically has two levels: Six main sections (L1), most of which have subsections (L2). All these "pages" are library items that get attached to a holder MC (L0). So for instance, the first page is built by attaching "home_NL" to L0 and calling it L1, and then attaching "home_welkom_NL" to L1 and calling it L2.

This all works fine, until I've clicked Voices . If I click a section after that, the L0 gets faded out, but L1 is not removed. And since the function then tries to attach a new library item as L1 and will not continue until it is loaded, navigation simply hangs.

Unfortunately luister_NL, which is loaded when you click Voices, is a fairly complex movie clip (by my standards, at least). It allows the visitor to listen to samples of our voice-talents based on language, style and gender. These can also be selected and ordered through a form.Something in this movie clip is preventing Flash from removing it from the stage, but I cant figure out what.

Flash :: Adding Hash Variables To ClickTAG In AdWords?

Jan 16, 2012

I'm building a Flash banner (as3) for AdWords, but I can't find in their documentation whether it is possible to add hash or querystring variables to appear in the eventual target url when u are using a clickTAG. Ideally I would like to use both. For example, my banner has four input fields and I would like to build my target url thusly:

var base:String= "http://www.example.com";
var qs:String= "?one=" + input1.text + "&two=" + input2.text;
var hs:String= "#three=" + input3.text + "&four=" + input4.text;
var targetUrl:String= base + qs + hs;
flash.net.navigateToURL(new URLRequest(targetUrl), "_blank");

Is this possible with AdWords while using clickTAG?

ActionScript 2.0 :: Shared Library Embed Fonts NOT WORKING

Apr 22, 2006

I wanted to separate my embedded fonts to save filesize, so i've put them into sharedLib.SWF, and then preloaded sharedLib.SWF into flash using another SWF so that i could use these fonts further in multiple FLAs, without consuming additional bandwidth. I followed one tutorial, and checked out many different ones, to see if this issue occured to somebody else too. I had no luck finding the solution. Furthermore, i want to embed these fonts into AS-created textfields using AS.[code]I tried to create 1 TF manually, and placed it on the Stage, setting its display text to one of the embedded texts (Tahoma*). This actually worked! And one more strange thing happened.. Three of those TFs created using actionsctript, which were before blank, were NOW also filled with correct embedded text, EXCEPT one textfield which used Tahoma text non-bold, non-italic [!?]. Now how does this happen, and why the exception, i wonder.

ActionScript 3.0 :: AddChild Not Working With Library Clip (attachMovie Migration)?

Aug 16, 2009

I'm having a problem adding a library clip to my stage I can do no problem if I have a testFLV.fla that has a library clip called test_clip with the linkage set to: com.attach_clips.Clip.

import com.app.views.mediaDisplay;import com.attach_clips.Clip;
public class FLVTest extends Sprite {    private var _mediaDisplay:mediaDisplay;        public function FLVTest()     {        this._mediaDisplay = new mediaDisplay(null);        var clip_1_mc:Clip=new Clip();        var clip_1_mc:Clip=new Clip();        this.addChild(clip_1_mc);        clip_1_mc.x=100;    }}

If I use the same concept in my mediaDisplay class, the clip isn't added to the stage.   Obviously it's got to be a scope issue since 'this' in the first examplerepresents the .fla itself but in mediaDisplay this doesn't have a stage object.

package com.app.views {
 import flash.display.Sprite;    import com.attach_clips.Clip;        public class mediaDisplay extends Sprite     {    public function mediaDisplay(attachControls:Sprite)         {            var clip_1_mc:Clip=new Clip();            this.addChild(clip_1_mc);            clip_1_mc.x=100;         };    }}

how I could 'attach' test_clip to the stage from mediaDisplay?

Actionscript 3 :: Algorithms : Implementing Custom Hash Table Based Dict?

What I am thinking about is to use cryptography libs for hash generation. But I am a bit confused with how it should work. e.g. Tried to look on several libs like as3crypto (http:/url]....) and it seems to produce hash in a way I don't really think can be used for indexes in arrays.

Flash 9 :: Shared Library Process For The First Time With Audio Files Not Working

Sep 15, 2008

I'm trying to use the Shared Library process for the first time with audio files and I'm not sure why it's not working. I've followed both processes from here:[URL] and have a library file called libTestAudio.swf with all the audio files set up right (see Flash file here [URL] My question is should the testAudio.swf ever grow in file size? When it has no content it is at 4Kb but when it has the shared library file added to the timeline it becomes 8Kb. Now this might sound small but I've tried this with much longer pieces of audio and the file size does get bigger for testAudio.swf . I was thinking that only the libTestAudio.swf file would increase in file size and testAudio.swf would remain at it's 4Kb size. Am i wrong there?

Mxmlc :: Does Flex SDK's Create A Cache File Or Hash To Determine If Source Code Has Changed

Oct 22, 2009

My ant buildfiles tell mxmlc.jar to recompile target mxml source. However, if the target mxml source file has not changed, either ant or mxmlc is ignoring the file and will not create a new swf. This is an annoyance because I'm editing files imported by the target mxml. I need it to rebuild when those files change. I'm guessing that the mxmlc is creating a cache file somewhere and comparing the target mxml (or maybe just a hash). Is this what is happening? What's the standard work-around? At the moment, I'm editing the target mxml just to cause a file change.

Flash :: Hash - High Scores - Access MD5 In Flash?

Mar 6, 2012

I need a way to be httpClient. I found some implementations - but I am looking for something built-in for posting to an HTTP server. In order to make it "relativley" secure - I figured I would keep a password file/or a const variable. Read it, hash it, send it to the server. The server will have the same password, and so it will too hash it. Is this reasonible? I understand the problem of reverse engineering etc. What do you think? How can I access MD5 etc. in flash?

Professional :: Use A Shared Library - Recompile The Library Folder When Do The Smallest Changes To A Component?

Jul 20, 2010

I am working in two different applications, one to be compiled for desktop use (AIR) and one to be compiled for the web. They are part of the same project and use the same visual components, but they are completely different apps. When a visual component is changed in one application then it should also change in the other one. Is this a good situation to use a shared library fla? I am new to the concept of shared libraries and I am considering the options.

On one had I would not have to update 2 applications everytime I change something, on the other, I would always have to recompile the library folder when I do the smallest changes to a component.

Actionscript 3 :: Library For Interactive Path Drawing (or Any Other Library For The Equations)

Oct 31, 2011

I am making a flash app where I want to have a user defined viewport like the stage in the flash IDE which the user can use to define objects that have a starting postition somerwhere off or on the stage and an ending position either or on or off the stage with the object then tweening between the two points. My question is this: I want the user to be able to define a curved path for the object to tween along. Is there a library of code that I can use to define curved paths for the app?

Ideally I would like something similar to the functionality available in Flash, so a bezier curve sort of path that is subdivided into handles that can be dragged to define the path of the tween. If there isn't an existing library, then do you know of the functions that I would need to define (mathematical equations related to drawing curves etc)?
