Actionscript 3 :: Shows Each Image - Fading The Old One Out As The New One Comes In

I just need it to load some images from a folder into an array and when the user presses a button it goes through the image array and shows each image, fading the old one out as the new one comes in, stopping when each image has been seen once.
i have a set of images which i've converted to mcs and have given them all different instance names. The first image motion tweens to the right of the screen via actionscript and then the next one will motion tween from the bottom of the screen to the top and then the image after that will go to the right of the screen and next one goes to to the top, and so on. I need the next image to start motion tweeing up to the top of the screen right when the first image starts fading out. Then when the second images starts fading out the next image is already motion tweening to the right of the screen and so on. Once every image has run through its tween everything repeats. Is there any way of doing this?
What I want to do is fade one image out while fading another image in. The script that I am using fades one image to alpha 0 then fades the next one in to alpha 100.The script that I am using is this.On first frame of main timeline

I created a slideshow where the images fade out and in using a motion tween from 0% alpha to 100% alpha in 15 frames. The fading doesn't look right to me it is very jagged. Is there a better way to do this. My files are too big to upload even when I tried to limit them to 3 images.
've got an image slideshow that dynamically loads images from an XML file, and it works great.It loads an image, and fades into the next one, no problem.But I want the image loaded to be zoomed in, and slowly zoom out, while still fading to the next image when it gets to a certain point.
I'm working on and xml loaded slideshow. I have a script that I got off of this site where the image fades out before the next one is loaded. The only problem is that the last image does not fade out, it just goes back to the first image which makes it inconsistant
I'm working on a website that is going to have images fading in and out of eachother. Instead of a plain fade, I would like to use the fade grid that I found on this site. I have it working with 1 image, but can't get it to work with more. I'm not great with action scripts and there is only 1 frame in the timeline so I can't put a go to action at the end of the animation. I tried adding a second scene but then it just gave me a white screen when I tested the movie.I would like to have 6 images fading with the grid. How to get it to work? Using Flash MX. On the timeline I have a bunch of buttons which point to different frame labels with images and content. Is there a way that I can make the images fade so that no matter what order a button is clicked, the images will still fade in/out from the previous image?
The loops fades a random image, which works great the first time round, if I go to another page and then back the home page (which is where this code is on frame 1) the first image loads but the random image code does not continue. I think it has something to do with nextHolderBool.

After the set time it gets deleted (setEndFlag) and the next image fades in.i guess i need to set a timer in order to fadeOut the "previous" image and fadeIn the "next" image. and after the "previous" image has run out of time it gets deleted.how could i include this in the script below? i really don't now how to do it anymore, since my as3 knowledge is not yet there where i'd like to be... and after hours trying to get my head around it i'm getting blind.[code]

I'm creating a shape in code based on some random points and then using it as a mask for an image. What I'm hoping to do is have the mask fade the image to transparent around the edges. I know I can do this using a gradient mask, the issue is how do I create a gradient on a shape that just fades out around the edges? The shape is not regular, so a radial or linear fill just won't cut it.
I am trying to create a canvas which will display 5 images ( one in each corner and one in the middle) now the trick is that the loader should be able to load any jpgs uploaded into that directory and display them in a random order in one of the 5 spots, and also the images should fade in and out.
My embedded images show up in the Flex Builder Design Preview, but are not displayed when the application is run. The images have relative paths (/assets/images/...), and the application is run on the server (wamp). I've appended the path to the compiled location [URL] and tried to display a image in the browser, and the image exists, too. I've compiled it via FlashDevelop, Flex Builder, and Ant. I've deleted and remade the bin/bin-debug/release/bin-release files to no avail.
I'm trying to create a simple yet effective image slideshow for my homepage. It'll be a bar, 600 pixels wide, by 300 pixels high. There will be 4 buttons that will line the bottom, numbered 1 through 4, that will control 4 separate slides that'll appear in that window. If you don't click anything, the images will fade in and out after x amount of seconds. Clicking on the numbered buttons will load the appropriate slide, and each slide when clicked will take you to a certain part of the website.
I wish to do this in actionscript... not using the timeline as I prefer to do all transitions in actionscript. Can anyone shed light on how to set this up? I've been trying to use the TransitionManager function... however I'm getting mixed results. Here's a screenshot:

How can I keep my slideshow working the same way but starting with the first image already on stage (without fade in)?
I want to create a button that when clicked it shows a good looking box with a swf or an image inside. I've tried looking for a tutorial for something that resembles this, but couldn't. The closest thing I found were tooltips, but that's not what I need. The tooltip disappears and it's not meant for UI.
I'm trying to play 2 external flash movies. its already running ok but i need the scene to be somewhat to gradually become transparent so that the timebased scene2 will comeout to of the screen.

For my college project I've created buttons were when you roll over images they are enlarged. The problem I have is when I roll over the images, the one next to the one I want shows in front of the image that I'm scrolling over with the mouse. I want it so that the image being rolled over is in front. For example when the magazine article on the far left is enlarged it goes behind the logos next to it instead of in front so you can see clearly what's being scrolled.

I have assembled a preloader using the method from this site, everything seem to work except for one problem My site supposed to start from a black background and the image fading in. However once I placed the preloader the image dose not fade in but appears right away to the full strength after the preloader gone to 100% Looks like it jumps to a few frames after the first frame of the main swf file. Please take a look at [URL] If you reload again you will see how the image fade in.
I can't work out why - but when I try to fade out some text (by calling fadeoutSecondText), the text fades out, and then immediately fades back in. Fading in and out struggle against each other, resulting in rapidly flashing text!
I have the following code to display the swf object on the page. It works well in all browsers. However, if shockwave flash turned off in Firefox, it won't fallback into image and show bunch of characters instead looking like "CWS..." All other browsers fallback to the image. I verified that we serve application/x-shockwave-flash MIME type on our server.

when i test the movie all i see is a large grey box (border color) with a medium white box (box color) in the bottom right.when i edit the border and lose the grey box but leave its line borders then i get the image with the white box in the bottom right. i've got an image: instance named 'image', a box: instance named 'box' and a border: instance named 'border' and pasted in the actionscript in
