View 1 RepliesC# :: Flash - Video Displaying Wonky In WinForms WebBrowser Control?
Oct 11, 2011Here is the issue. I'm making a web browser for my 3 year old so that I can specify which sites he can go to and make it easy for him to get to those sites. One of the sites that I have specified is the Disney Junior site. However, when I load up that site in the WebBrowser control the flash is kinda wonky. This is the only flash site that does this. The top and side nav are like twice the size they should be. This has happened on multiple machines, so it's not just my dev box. Also, the site looks just fine in IE9. I've been pulling my hair out trying to figure out what is happening, but I'm running dry on ideas.
At first I though it had something to do with zoom in IE, so I created a new control inherited from the WebBrowser control and added a zoom property, but that didn't fix it. Then I thought maybe the User Agent string might be an issue so I tried modifying it to no avail ... plus it turns out that the WebBrowser control identifies itself as IE9 anyway ... so that's not it. I've thought about using GeckoFX or Webkit.NET, but those projects are both way out of date, so I would rather use something more modern like the built in IE control (ironic, I know)
C# :: Flash Player Embedded In .NET WinForms App Cannot Load HTTPS Content With Self-signed Certificate
Sep 23, 2011I have a Flash Player ActiveX control embedded in a .NET WinForms application and am trying to load a SWF into the FP control over an HTTPS url. In development I'm using a self-signed certificate and it seems that in this scenario I can't get FP to accept the certificate and allow the HTTPS communications.When I try to load the swf over https directly, I don't see the swf and when I right-click on the control I see "Movie not loaded". I can load the swf over http and then try to make Flash Remoting calls over https. I don't expect this to work by default but I added a crossdomain.xml file to allow insecure communications. The crossdomain.xml file is in the root of the server but is not loaded. I added an explicit call to loadPolicyFile with the full https url and the crossdomain.xml file is still not loaded. The local IIS logs don't show any request for the file at all, nothing in the HTTPERR file, and Flash's policyfiles.txt log says URl...If I host the swf in a browser, then the browser prompts to accept the certificate and everything works fine. I've accepted the certificate in IE and Firefox.I also tried calling DisableLocalSecurity() on the FP ActiveX control but it had no effect. I didn't really expect it to since I'm not actually loading the swf locally, it's loaded from a url.Can anyone confirm if the self-signed cert really is the problem? Is there a way to get FP to accept the certificate? Any way to bypass the http/https restriction (this is a locally installed app so I can change any local config files we need)?

Aug 11, 2009Does anyone know which programs work best together with flash for importing graphics that are vector based. I need to know what program a graphic designer should use, so the programmer (me) can easily import the design into flash without much fuss. I know that illustrator is kind of good, but i heard that you could also use indesign.If you know of any limitations or little quirks one has to watch while exporting importing to / from flash or illustrator, had a problem with an illustrator file once that used many effects, it crashed my flash ide durring import.

Oct 26, 2010I'm in desperate search for a professional Flash Developer who wouldn't mind taking a few moments to participate in an interview about a past or recent Flash Project he/she has worked on. Unfortunately for me, I have had 2 people commit to this, and back out. The first completely ignored all messages and inquiries after I sent the information to her. After having no choice but to search for another person, I found another that was eager to help. Two days after I sent him the related material, I received a message stating he wasn't aware that it was a Flash project, and that they don't do any Flash in house, so as of last night, my second lead has turned into a dead end. Media Server :: Apache In FMS 4 Developer Vs XAMPP Environment For PHP?
Sep 15, 20111.Have a Flash Webpage under development designed to permit preview and streaming of FLV video.Downloaded FMS Developer as a test server on my computer.Apache 2.2 loads with it with a checkbox option to install it or not. I'm able to stream my video OK in this setup using RTMP://localhost and the FLVPlayback component in Flash Pro.I like some of the OSMF players better like the one in the FMS Start Screen, but I haven't been able to integrate/embed it into my Flash webpage using the HTML provided.They say just paste it to the webpage, but in ActionScript how do you do that?how to embed Strobe Media Player into an FLA webpage using their HTML.
2.I plan to use PayPal Express Checkout for Digital Goods (EC/DG) as my pay facility on the Flash webpage. My videos will play to a cuepoint and then jump to a PayPal button which executes (EC/DG) .I'm having trouble integrating PayPal with my Flash webpage. There's a lot of online help, but most solutions involve PHP. I bought the e-book, "Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 for PHP" which recommends downloading the XAMPP platform which contains Apache, PHP, MySQL etc.
(a) If I use the XAMPP software, as recommended in the Dreamweaver book, do I have to first uninstall the Apache that comes with FMS? I assume you can't have two Apache's running at the same time.
(b) Is FMS the Server or is Apache the server in the FMS installation?
(c) Does the Apache software installed with FMS include PHP and MySQL, which seems to be required for any server-side coding?
I want to use FMS with Amazon Web Services to implement my Streaming Video Project, but I'm not sure I can do it with all the problems I'm encountering.Two final questions:
3.Why would I need Flash Builder if I have Dreamweaver?Don't they do essentially the same thing?
4.I'm trying to do in 1 and 2 above just using ActionScript and JavaScript, which I understand is just Server-side ActionScript?

Media Server :: RTMFP Unicast For A Video Chat Project Using FM Developer Server 4.0?
Oct 7, 2010I am testing RTMFP unicast for a video chat project using FM Developer Server 4.0.During the testing I overloaded the upload traffic to make packets dropped rather than suffering delay due to retransmission.
However, I see it makes a significant delay and it looks like doing retransmission just like RTMP.
Do you know if there is an option in FMS to disable the retransmission or other configuration I have to consider?One thing I found is "Netstream.videoReliable=false; Netstream.audioReliable=false;" but it doesn't make any difference.

Nov 2, 2010im currently making an "AS3 beat em up" ala streets of rage or double dragon.Currently i have my character moving and a few animations done and i am trying to figure out how to make attacks work.I have some "basic" animation for his attack, but im not sure how to get it to work correctley.What happens is, if you press control (the attack button) whilst the character is walking he just keeps moving and is stopped on the attack frame.I want the character to stop moving if the attack is pressed and once it is released start moving again.
