Flash :: Cs5 Color Scheme?
Mar 17, 2011I usually use gedit or terminal in which I have a dark setting black bg and greenish or whitish font.
Does anyone know of a good color setting for adobe flash cs5?

If you start playing the video, and change color schemes, the flash player will change to the right color, but on refreshing, it doesn't remember that change. How do I modify to code below so that the Flash player reads the correct color scheme and takes action?

Nov 10, 2008I need to create a navigation scheme with a dynamic list of movieclips that cycles, the user being able to cycle through the list left or right seamlessly.For example, say there are 12 items in the list, and at any given time three of them are to be displayed, with the center one being the focus/selected item. If the user clicks on the center/focus item, it takes them to a page, no trouble. If they click on the one to the left of the focus item, the list slides right, with the clicked one becoming the new center, focus item.
So, now say that the three visible items are 10, 11, and 12 in our array. If the user clicks on number 12, the list will slide left, with number 12 becoming the focus, and the goal would be to have item number 1 become the new, right-most item in the display - thus, the visible three would be 11, 12, 1. If the user then clicked on one, the cycle would continue, making number 1 the focus and the visible items would be 12, 1, 2. This should work seamlessly at both extremes of the list.
So in one instance, I have created a single movieclip that contains all of the items in the list, plus four extra at the end, to allow the appearance of seamlessness; when the user got to the end, the entire clip jumped to the start. This works, more or less, but it's clunky and I need to find a better way.

Sep 16, 2011So let's begin. I want to build a wheel which you can spin, similar to a roulette wheel. You can do this both ways (CW and CCW, this issue causing the bug, actually). The wheel has some acceleration to it too, and I achieve this by measuring the start and final angle of the drag movement, using Math.atan2(dy, dx). The problem is the following: atan2 outputs the following angle scheme, assuming the point relative to which the math is done is in the center of the circle.
atan2 returns a value measured in radians, so I'm using the classic angle*180/Math.PI formula. I've changed this original scheme into the following, using some simple math to shift the angles a bit, to resemble more accurate circle angles (going up to 360 degrees) The problem that I'm facing at the moment is should the user decide he wants to swipe clockwise, and moves through the right point, where 0 turns into 360 or 180 turns into -180, the whole angle difference thing is capsized. It registers a CCW movement (as if the user swiped his mouse all around the circle). So, I'm looking for some ideas as to how I can work around this small issue.

I am assigning a color to its color field like this: lightblue_color.transform.colorTransform.color = 0x65ffff; then i am adding an eventlistener to the button like this: lightblue_color.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, ChangeColor); Then, in the function: public function ChangeColor(evnt:MouseEvent):void {trace(evnt.target.transform.colorTransform.color);} It prints 0. Why is that? Shouldn't it print 0x65ffff or do i need to do some type conversions?

Oct 11, 2011I have an issue working with the setStyle() on the modalTransprancyColor property. The module did not run on different variations of hexadecimal code, only one that seems to work is 0xDDDDDD. Anything else, this line of code will crash Flash.

Flash :: Half The Letter Is One Color And Half Another Color?
Jan 10, 2011i would like to know if it is possible to have a letter that is made up of multiple colors. for example above you will see a hebrew letter. the DOT underneath it is actually part of the letter, but it is a different color.is it possible to have this same functionality in flash? what i would need to do is upload an XML file with all the words, and i would need all the dots below the letters to be a different color

Then, you can stick the text on the movie and make a new one. During the creation of the movie clip holding the created text, all the format parameters of the text are passed to the movieclip. When I call back the .color parameter, it shows a value that isn't hex nor RGB... I've been googling for the last hour trying to find how to convert this back to RGB or hex values with no success. In this case, the value is : 65535

I want to let people change the color of tiles to what they want from a list of colors, so how can I let them change the color of a tile dinamicly with actionscript so that it changes a tile's color while preserving changes of "shadows"? Instead of creating a button and nesting movie clips for each state, I'm trying to script an animated button of a square (no fill) where on rollover the stroke color changes from one color to another (tweening the tint). I want to do this to the button symbol so it's the same for all instances. Is this possible or do I have to go the button > nested MC route?
