I have a drop-down/multi-level CSS menu on a page. The menu however doesn't appear over a flash.i put <param value="transparent" name="wmode"/> I added wmode="transparent" to the EMBED tag then the expanded menu appeared but the color of flash image diaappeared also tried z-index in css.

The menu is like this http:[url]... (the site is in portuguese but it doesnt matter), when I click in on menu the actual menu does an alpha to 0 and the next menu appears using the alpha from 0 to 100 (and some animations like the cellphone going up).Now, how can I do a menu like that, whatever the menu I choose, it does that alpha animation ?

The file is used at a website, and contains the menu.Reads input from xml file.I can make the changes, logo and some static text.When publishing the file, the menu appears as pink boxes instead of rendering of the menu.There is not outpur errors, and everything else works as it should, just not the menu.

What I'm trying to do is have a 3 state tree expansion. I have three different icons for "expand" "collapse" "semi-expanded" which I want to use to show a partially populated tree control with all nodes initialized to semi-expanded state and then on clicking the "semi-expanded" icon it gets data from server and populates the tree and open that branch with "expanded" icon.
I tried looking for it but couldn't find anything close to it except the 3-state checkbox but don't know how to use it on 3 state icon when tree would only maintain 2 states.
I have a complex workflow movie that is almost entirely loaded with dynamic text populated by XML files. The problem is that when I view the movie the dynamic text doesn't always appear on some frames. If I click back out of the frame and then click back into it the dynamic text appears.

I load a bitmap to the stage, it's a GIF and set to lossless compression. I have ensured its coordinates are integers and have not allowed smoothing (smoothing somewhat fixes the issue but reduces quality of the image).The problem is the image appears to shift one pixel to the left and add that pixel on to the right side meaning one side has no border and the other a double border.The original bitmap does not have this issue, and there is no transparency .etc in the image.

View 3 RepliesI want users to be able to right click on a certain line in the text field, and I don't want to go through the hassle and extra memory and coding involved in breaking up the field.If the user has not selected the textField yet, right clicking will set the "caretIndex" to the correct value, however, if the field is in focus when they right click, the carrotIndex will not display the correct value, but will display the selection value.How can I detect which line/character was right clicked? Is it even possible to get the coordinates of the right click without needing to resort to detecting MOUSE_MOVE and updating some sort of global value each time?

The whole actual functioning menu works great as it is fairly simple to create, but what I can't get to work is a button within the menu that drops down.I first saw this example in a flash movie I downloaded here and have attempted to basically recreate it, except to not use action script on the buttons themselves, but rather from the main time line for good coding practice.As you can see pressing the green button after the menu appears does nothing instead of tracing "works".

View 6 RepliesThe site opens with a SWF file. This is my first attempt at Flash. He did not have the fla file so i used a decompiler to generate it and we were able to make most of the changes he wanted. We have one thing left and I am scratching my head trying to figure this out. There are 7 buttons, and when you place your mouse over each button an image appears in the top right of the screen. This image is different depending on what button you are over. He wants to update and change a couple of these images.

Right now when I test my flash, there is a brief moment where I see the image resize from big to the resized format... and the fader does not work anymore.
I want for everytime I open the gallery or click on an image for the resize event to happen, have the image loaded, so that the fading I have in function checkerF can begin...

I made a simple website with a flash menu, that opens internal links in an iframe. However, I have a few other (not included in the menu) external links, which open in the same iframe. And after I click on one of them and it loads in the iframe, the buttons on the menu stop working. I'm beginning to think it has something to do with the internet explorer, since it works on some computers. But I'm not sure... not very good at this.

I'm trying to code a click-and-point adventure game for a class, in which interactive objects glow when you mouse over them.... In the frame I have the background image (in which there is, say, a drawer), and an image of the drawer glowing placed exactly over top of that. The glow image is invisible until you mouse over it, at which point it is supposed to become visible (and disappear upon mouseout). I have the mouseover function linked to the entire glow image (which is a movieclip), but it only seems to work when you mouseover a specific portion of the image (usually a corner). The code looks something like this:

when the glow-image is moused over, it moves upward slightly and a small amount of whitespace appears at the top of the image.
I have included my fla at [URL]. What I want is when you click on a bar it expand and pushes the ones below down. That has been accomplished. However, I want the expanded bar to close when a different bar is clicked. Right now that doesn't happen. The only way to close an expanded bar is to click on itself. I should add that there is code on an invisible button that resides inside the bar movie clip.

[URL]This swf object load an external xml file (generated by php script which doesn't locate on the same machine) and then display the product list (thumbnail and title). The script was tested working fine on my local machine, but when updating to the hosting, the images don't resize. At the first i thought that it's hosting performance issue, so i migrated it to amazon s3, but it still doesn't work.

I have a question, not necessarily about coding, but about setting up a file. I want to create an expandable ad, but I don't know how they work. Do I make the stage the size of the expanded part? How do I only have the unexpanded part act as though it is a different, smaller size.
View 2 RepliesI have Background layer, Bkg_Image layer & Video layer. I have embeded the flv movie on Video layer. Though on stage it shows all the layers, but when I test the movie it shows only Background layer & Video layer. I can't see the Bkg_Image layer.
The Actions layer has external swf loading AS3 which is working fine. Only the problem with Bkg_Image layer which is imprortant for me.
