Flash :: Css - Get Player To Display Under Content On A PC?
Mar 5, 2010
Long story short, I'm developing a theme template for a blog that enables you to view the posts in blocks. The main part of the post is displayed at first, then the secondary content is displayed over that when you hover over the post block. Everything works fine on a Mac Versions of all major browsers, but start browsing on a PC, and all hell breaks loose when you start trying to display content over Flash Video embeds. The flash element remains visible over the content. It's completely unusable.
From a PC, you can view an example of the problem here: [URL] I'm almost certain this is a bug in the Flash Plugin for Windows, but I was wondering if anyone else had come across this problem before, and if there were any solutions.
I am trying to create a flash player to display images in sequence using Flash player & ActionScript. The code below has lots of errors and I can't work them out. I have programmed in other languages and am perfectly aware that something like this.
*code*var imageLoader:Loader;imageLoader = new Loader(); // 1120: Access to undefined property imageLoader*/code* OR*code*var imageLoader:Loader = new Loader(); // 1046: Type was not found or was not a compile-time: Loder*/code*
I want to use lightbox to display Flash video player.I would like to have lightbox load a page that has SWFObject code for displaying the Flash content. This page with the Flash content and SWFObject will have certain paramters and vars Does anyone know of an example or tutoral for doing this?
I'm trying to do this effect with my website allowing me to shuffle through different websites, can anyone point me in the direction to a tutorial that breaks this down or can anyone try to explain it I'm very new to flash and only know the basics.
If you have a design created in Flash and there is some content on the pasteboard (off-stage), it shouldn't appear in Flash Player. However, when you maximise the flash player window, it does
We have a Flex application which is build against the 3.3 SDK. It has been in production for more than a year without any problems, till yesterday. We got a bug report yesterday that some content is invisible which prevents the user from completing an assignment. I looked into the problem and I have narrowed it down to Flash Player 11. Unfortunately it got me no closer to solving the problem. The part of the application that is giving problems is a separate .SWC which is loaded in a SWFLoader object. This is placed on a Canvas which in turn is shown to the user via the PopupManager. This is what it looks like when I view it in FireFox 10.0.2 with Flash Player 10,0,45,2 (click for image).
And this is what it looks like when I view it with Flash Player 11,1,102,62 in Chrome 17.0.963.56 (click for image)As you can see I am missing the checkboxes, two buttons and the checkpoint in the middle. The checkpoints drops in from the top of the screen and sometimes you can see parts of it. It looks like there is something invisible on top of this. In the Flash Player 11 version I am able to click on the checkboxes that are invisible and this does trigger the expected behavior so I know the mouse clicks are handles properly. Same goes for the buttons 'Vorige' (previous) and 'Volgende' (next), even though you can't see them I can still navigate between states.I have check if disabling the hard acceleration in Flash Player 11 made a difference but unfortunately it didn't. I also thought it could be the preloader that is blocking out part of the screen but the position seems all wrong and I am not having any problems with other external .SWC files that are presented to the user.
Does anyone know whether or not a debug player for FP 10.1 has been released? The player that is being pushed right now seems to be the 'release'-style beta player.
I checked in the usual locations, like: [URL]..and the Flex SDK nightly source /player/ directory, but those are both still on 10.0.x.y.
I guess they don't always release the debug players immediately with new beta players, but it'd be nice if someone could confirm either way.
I want to display HTML formatted content from various sources inside a Flash Flex application. Flash supports HTML formatting in its text fields, however it is very limited compared to a web browser. Are there any scripts out there that will convert common HTML formatted text into a format that Flash can handle? My particular use cases are:Displaying HTML formatted emails inside FlashDisplaying RTF files inside Flash (after running an RTF2HTML conversion on the server)Displaying random HTML content copied and pasted from other sources into Flash
hide the video content of the YouTube player (only statusbar (where is play button etc.) is visible) ? Or maybe do you know other (flash) players that have the ability to stream the YouTube movies ?
When a flash player is being hosted on https server, can I pull content to play on it from an http server. Would this work or give a mixed content warning or some other problem?
I have a ActiveX control hosting a flash-player which is in turn running a flash file trying to access data from a web-address.
In an old Windows Application version of my application everything works fine and the flash file is able to access the web-content.
However, in a newer Console Appliction version of the application it can no longer access the web-content.
Is there some kind of difference between a Windows Application and a Console application in terms of security/permissions that might affect an ActiveX hosted flash-player?
I'm editing a flash web template in Flash pro (cs5.5 master collection) . I have a horz scrolling calendar with event and direction links in each day. The calendar is Html/css/ and jQuery. If I Build a single Html page that loads the CSS and jQuery and contains all the calls and Content text and I call/display this in a flash box in my "movie"
I am writing an ActionScript web app that allows the user to upload their own PDF file and draw objects (boxes, circles, etc) on top of the PDF file. I was wondering if there are plugins out there that allow me to place the PDF into the stage. An alternative would be to convert the PDF to an image file server side
Not sure how to describe this issue, but I only get it in Firefox and not any other browser. When clicking around, the page sometimes blows up with the attached pic. Sometimes it has even more characters than that, and you can see things like LAME encoder referenced. Anyone know what the deal is? All site caching is disabled. I am no pro with flash so I don't know what is causing this. I am using the Boutell XSPF player due to its support of Autoresume, if that helps. I added it to the list of players, and have the flash embed code in a block. I am achieving this using the Drupal Audio module and submodules supporting it.
I do not want to intertop between c# and AS3 or here. I want a full screen content player in C# which can host a Adobe Flash swf file. Is there an example? In full screen, right clicks would have custom behavior attached.I saw one in Visual c++. As per Chris's I checked the link. I tried adding these lines of code:
I have built my personal webpage in Flash CS3/AS3. I did some updates today, changed some pictures and stuff. Now when I upload and replace the previous *.swf on the server, and try to load my webpage my browser displays the folowing message:
Content on this page requires a newer version of Adobe Flash Player. I tried exporting with Flas Player 8, and checked it using different bowsers too (curenntly I use the latest version of Firefox), but I get the same error when trying to relode my site. I have no more ideas what to do.
I am a experiencing an issue with loading of the haeader(flash) on the site I am currently working. Each browser behaves in a similar manner while not displaying flash animated header. I tried to save it as CS3, as CS4 alows me to do so and even that does not work.Details: I am using Dreamvewaver CS4 and Flash CS4 to build this site, could there be some type of an issue with DW4?
I have a Flash Player ActiveX control embedded in a .NET WinForms application and am trying to load a SWF into the FP control over an HTTPS url. In development I'm using a self-signed certificate and it seems that in this scenario I can't get FP to accept the certificate and allow the HTTPS communications. When I try to load the swf over https directly, I don't see the swf and when I right-click on the control I see "Movie not loaded". I can load the swf over http and then try to make Flash Remoting calls over https. I don't expect this to work by default but I added a crossdomain.xml file to allow insecure communications. The crossdomain.xml file is in the root of the server but is not loaded. I added an explicit call to loadPolicyFile with the full https url and the crossdomain.xml file is still not loaded. The local IIS logs don't show any request for the file at all, nothing in the HTTPERR file, and Flash's policyfiles.txt log says URl...If I host the swf in a browser, then the browser prompts to accept the certificate and everything works fine. I've accepted the certificate in IE and Firefox.I also tried calling DisableLocalSecurity() on the FP ActiveX control but it had no effect. I didn't really expect it to since I'm not actually loading the swf locally, it's loaded from a url.Can anyone confirm if the self-signed cert really is the problem? Is there a way to get FP to accept the certificate? Any way to bypass the http/https restriction (this is a locally installed app so I can change any local config files we need)?
I have an xml doc which works beautifully....now I want to edit the "content" so that it display html content, ie....within the text of the "content" I could add bold tags or add a links or something like that....I have looked up and down and no thread I could find has a straight forward definitive answer...not just on here either...is it that difficult...i doubt it?I will have to set the properties of my text box to accept html...right?so something like this....
theText.html = true;
THis was my attemp...(the first part)...but no deal...
Code: <icons><icon image="shoes.png" tooltip="www.shoes4crews.co.uk" content="I made this...<![CDATA[<a [code]....
Is it possible to protect the broadcasted content from unauthorized copying users. In the demo version of FMS 3.5 for interactive broadcasting stream audio and video can be copied by means of such programs as Comtasia. This may not like the content holders. Perhaps there are some instruments of protection.
I can't seem to embed using swfobject...I normally embed with object class ID but have decided to get to grips with deep linking.I've brought it back to basics without using swfaddress and thinking it would maybe sort out server side, still no luck, either server side or locally. Also tried uninstalling and re-installing my flash player, still no swf displayed.swfobject.js is in the same dir as test.swf

I'm trying to write a 3D game in ActionScript 3.0 using the Stage3D API. I've copied the playerglobal.swc in my frameworks/libs/player/11.0 directory, and modified the frameworks/flex-config.xml file by changing the target-player to 11.0.0 and the swf-version to 13.When I compile my ActionScript 3.0 files using mxmlc I set the options -target-player=11.0.0 and -static-link-runtime-shared-libraries=true. Now, I don't get an error at compile time when importing com.adobe.utils.AGALMiniAssembler or flash.display.Stage3D so I assume that there's no problem with that.
I run the compiled SWF file in Opera, and I'm using the latest Flash Player (version 11.0.1.152) which was publicly released today (cheers ;D). There's seems to be no problem with the player because I can play Zombie Tycoon. However, when I play my SWF file the Stage3D doesn't display; but all the other display objects attached to the stage do display.I believe that there's either some problem with my configuration or my code, but I can't pinpoint it. The code I'm using was simply copied from Labs @ Jam3. I believe that there was some problem with the viewport, so I simply replacedI have been searching for a solution all over the web, but I can't seem to locate it.

I am unable to click on "Allow" button in my Adobe Flash Player Settings panel that pop's up because half of it is hidden behind divs making it "unclickable".I tried setting negative z-indices on the divs that are overlaying it and I also tried giving a prositive z-index to the div holding the Flash Player Settings panel
How can I display alternate HTML with the jquery.swfobject plugin for browsers without Flash? I'm unable to find any documentation or examples showing how to do this.
I installed SWF Tools 6.x-2.5 in Drupal Drupal 6.20. I followed the installation instruction and also setup SWFObject 2 - JavaScript. The status page does not show any error.
The problem that I have is that when I indicate the content with [swf file="MyflashTest.swf"] I always get the message:
You are missing some Flash content that should appear here! Perhaps your browser cannot display it, or maybe it did not initialize correctly
I using apache webserver in my localghost. I tried to open the page with IE and Firefox but I always get the same message
Any idea what do I need to check/set to make flash content appear?
