If you have a design created in Flash and there is some content on the pasteboard (off-stage), it shouldn't appear in Flash Player.However, when you maximise the flash player window, it does
In Internet Explorer 7 and 8 (WinXP/Flash 10), if I play my videos using the JW Player in the slider they work. However if I move to the next slide and then return to the original slide the video is no longer displayed - the audio is still audible and the video can be played and paused, but there is no image.
I've asked this question on [URL], but the support member cannot see this problem on their computer. Does anyone else see this issue, and if so, You can view the slider and video here: [URL]
i am trying to write some actionscript.........obviously!!
the effect i am looking for is like what is at <a href>http://www.hugeinc.com</href>
i have most of the code sorted, such as the _y movement of the transparent movie clip. i just need the actionscript that is added to the content mc that is located under the transparent moving movie clip.
I am looking for a possible fix for the issue I have. I created an animated movie clip where the animated images are bigger than the size area of movie clip's stage. Let's say I have a mc with dimension of 500x700px, but images are used 650x850px in size. I make transitions between images while they move on a stage. It is a simple timeline based animation. When I look at the published swf, everything is looking great. When I load this published swf into another swf on its stage, the behavior is changed. I can see the area what is beyond the intended visible area of 500x700px. I can see the portion of the image that supposed to be out of visible area and transitions lost the intended style. It looks really bad.As far as I can tell, the loaded swf content is losing its stage area. Its content is shown no within swf's stage area but within upper level swf's stage area. Is that possible to fixI still need to have the loaded swf with own boundaries where nothing can be seen outside intended visible area. I used mask to hide content but it did not completely fix the problem,
I have an application written in AS3 that is loading swfs written in AS2. Most of them work fine, except for ones that contain the old AS2 accordion component. Loading one results in it working correctly, but each one that is loaded after it breaks the previous one (the content no longer shows and the mask disappears). It's not just limited to the accordion, any of the AS2 components that came with Flash Pro cause breakage. I've tried loading the swfs to separate movieclips, tried using applicationDomain, tried everything else I can think of. Rewriting the swfs in AS3 is not an option due to circumstances out of my control.
I am trying to get when a user mouses over the button some content shows up and moves with the mouse until that user moves off the button..does anyone know how i can acheive this...
I just tested out my site in Firefox and IE. Everything works the way I want it to in Firefox but in IE I'm having trouble. When I click on a button my preloader shows up but doesn't stop to load the content, it plays straight through and then my movie pops up. Does anyone know why this might be happening? I've never encountered this problem before.

Web Design, Illustration, Resume and Downloads are all I have working so far.
I'm trying to create a simple banner ad where the mouse hovers over the button and a panel shows up over some content of the site.[URL]I have two different .swfs: the container, which is the button and a loaded swf that has the animation that comes up when the button is clicked. The button is only 183 x 40px where as the loaded swf is 183 x 160px.When the loader swf is loaded, it takes the dimensions of the button.
Is there a way to have the loader swf be its original dimensions, so when the mouse hovers over the button, the loader swf covers some of the content on the Web site?Also, how can I change the MouseEvent to load the SWF when the mouse is only over the button and not clicking?
The simple code I have so far:
stop(); var myLoader:Loader = new Loader(); open_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, loadBanner);
Long story short, I'm developing a theme template for a blog that enables you to view the posts in blocks. The main part of the post is displayed at first, then the secondary content is displayed over that when you hover over the post block. Everything works fine on a Mac Versions of all major browsers, but start browsing on a PC, and all hell breaks loose when you start trying to display content over Flash Video embeds. The flash element remains visible over the content. It's completely unusable.
From a PC, you can view an example of the problem here: [URL] I'm almost certain this is a bug in the Flash Plugin for Windows, but I was wondering if anyone else had come across this problem before, and if there were any solutions.
I'm trying to do this effect with my website allowing me to shuffle through different websites, can anyone point me in the direction to a tutorial that breaks this down or can anyone try to explain it I'm very new to flash and only know the basics.
We have a Flex application which is build against the 3.3 SDK. It has been in production for more than a year without any problems, till yesterday. We got a bug report yesterday that some content is invisible which prevents the user from completing an assignment. I looked into the problem and I have narrowed it down to Flash Player 11. Unfortunately it got me no closer to solving the problem.The part of the application that is giving problems is a separate .SWC which is loaded in a SWFLoader object. This is placed on a Canvas which in turn is shown to the user via the PopupManager.This is what it looks like when I view it in FireFox 10.0.2 with Flash Player 10,0,45,2 (click for image).
And this is what it looks like when I view it with Flash Player 11,1,102,62 in Chrome 17.0.963.56 (click for image)As you can see I am missing the checkboxes, two buttons and the checkpoint in the middle. The checkpoints drops in from the top of the screen and sometimes you can see parts of it. It looks like there is something invisible on top of this. In the Flash Player 11 version I am able to click on the checkboxes that are invisible and this does trigger the expected behavior so I know the mouse clicks are handles properly. Same goes for the buttons 'Vorige' (previous) and 'Volgende' (next), even though you can't see them I can still navigate between states.I have check if disabling the hard acceleration in Flash Player 11 made a difference but unfortunately it didn't. I also thought it could be the preloader that is blocking out part of the screen but the position seems all wrong and I am not having any problems with other external .SWC files that are presented to the user.
Does anyone know whether or not a debug player for FP 10.1 has been released? The player that is being pushed right now seems to be the 'release'-style beta player.
I checked in the usual locations, like: [URL]..and the Flex SDK nightly source /player/ directory, but those are both still on 10.0.x.y.
I guess they don't always release the debug players immediately with new beta players, but it'd be nice if someone could confirm either way.
hide the video content of the YouTube player (only statusbar (where is play button etc.) is visible) ? Or maybe do you know other (flash) players that have the ability to stream the YouTube movies ?
When a flash player is being hosted on https server, can I pull content to play on it from an http server. Would this work or give a mixed content warning or some other problem?
I have a ActiveX control hosting a flash-player which is in turn running a flash file trying to access data from a web-address.
In an old Windows Application version of my application everything works fine and the flash file is able to access the web-content.
However, in a newer Console Appliction version of the application it can no longer access the web-content.
Is there some kind of difference between a Windows Application and a Console application in terms of security/permissions that might affect an ActiveX hosted flash-player?
I was at a friend's house and wanted to show him our website. When I navigated to it, about 10% of the area outside of the stage was visible. It was almost as if the swf had been shrunk by 10%, but still within the stage area (750px x 600px). I'm not sure what's causing it, but I've seen it happen once before with a computer here at our office.
It always seems to happen with Internet Explorer. When we right-clicked on the swf and choose "show all" it filled the area and looked normal. I've never encoutered the problem using Firefox and only some of the time when using Internet Explorer. Not sure if it just happens with a certain version of IE or what.[URL]..
basically I want to load an external SWF into my flash file, which I can do just fine, but when I load the swf in, it loads EVERYTHING in the swf into the new flash file...What I want is for it ONLY to display the contents on the stage. I work with large images that span way beyond the stage...then I move the images and when I export the swf it looks like a camera zoomed in and tracking around a large image. BUT when I load the swf into another flash file, it just loads it in with no regard to the stage...how do I get it to JUST load what I can see on the stage? here's my current code:
button_1.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, fl_ClickToLoadUnloadSWF); import fl.display.ProLoader; var fl_ProLoader:ProLoader;
Not sure how to describe this issue, but I only get it in Firefox and not any other browser. When clicking around, the page sometimes blows up with the attached pic. Sometimes it has even more characters than that, and you can see things like LAME encoder referenced. Anyone know what the deal is? All site caching is disabled. I am no pro with flash so I don't know what is causing this. I am using the Boutell XSPF player due to its support of Autoresume, if that helps. I added it to the list of players, and have the flash embed code in a block. I am achieving this using the Drupal Audio module and submodules supporting it.
I do not want to intertop between c# and AS3 or here. I want a full screen content player in C# which can host a Adobe Flash swf file. Is there an example? In full screen, right clicks would have custom behavior attached.I saw one in Visual c++. As per Chris's I checked the link. I tried adding these lines of code:
I have built my personal webpage in Flash CS3/AS3. I did some updates today, changed some pictures and stuff. Now when I upload and replace the previous *.swf on the server, and try to load my webpage my browser displays the folowing message:
Content on this page requires a newer version of Adobe Flash Player. I tried exporting with Flas Player 8, and checked it using different bowsers too (curenntly I use the latest version of Firefox), but I get the same error when trying to relode my site. I have no more ideas what to do.
I am a experiencing an issue with loading of the haeader(flash) on the site I am currently working. Each browser behaves in a similar manner while not displaying flash animated header. I tried to save it as CS3, as CS4 alows me to do so and even that does not work.Details: I am using Dreamvewaver CS4 and Flash CS4 to build this site, could there be some type of an issue with DW4?
I have a Flash Player ActiveX control embedded in a .NET WinForms application and am trying to load a SWF into the FP control over an HTTPS url. In development I'm using a self-signed certificate and it seems that in this scenario I can't get FP to accept the certificate and allow the HTTPS communications.When I try to load the swf over https directly, I don't see the swf and when I right-click on the control I see "Movie not loaded". I can load the swf over http and then try to make Flash Remoting calls over https. I don't expect this to work by default but I added a crossdomain.xml file to allow insecure communications. The crossdomain.xml file is in the root of the server but is not loaded. I added an explicit call to loadPolicyFile with the full https url and the crossdomain.xml file is still not loaded. The local IIS logs don't show any request for the file at all, nothing in the HTTPERR file, and Flash's policyfiles.txt log says URl...If I host the swf in a browser, then the browser prompts to accept the certificate and everything works fine. I've accepted the certificate in IE and Firefox.I also tried calling DisableLocalSecurity() on the FP ActiveX control but it had no effect. I didn't really expect it to since I'm not actually loading the swf locally, it's loaded from a url.Can anyone confirm if the self-signed cert really is the problem? Is there a way to get FP to accept the certificate? Any way to bypass the http/https restriction (this is a locally installed app so I can change any local config files we need)?
Is it possible to protect the broadcasted content from unauthorized copying users. In the demo version of FMS 3.5 for interactive broadcasting stream audio and video can be copied by means of such programs as Comtasia. This may not like the content holders. Perhaps there are some instruments of protection.
I was wondering if there is a way to make the actual stage dynamic to the content loaded in the flash file.
Firstly the method I am using is importing a external swf to the stage into a container called container. The main stage, lets call it index, is still on default size, and I want this to expand dynamically as content is loaded in. page1 may be 900px width, page2 may be 500px width, and as I load the content the index stage should expand the width to that of the page loaded. Some steps I have tried but did not work.
if page1 button is pressed stage.stageHeight = 900; - not working (how do I set stage size in as3)made a movieclip in page 1 spanning the page size and called it p1_stage so I can reference the data from there. trace(container.p1_stage.height); gives this error: TypeError: Error #1010: A term is undefined and has no properties. at index_fla::MainTimeline/frame1()
How can I use Stage Video in my project in Flash Professional CS5? Do I need Flex Hero for it? Are there any good examples of using Stage Video? I've tried to create something but Flash Pro gave me an error - he doesn't know what StageVideoAvailabilityEvent means.
How do I change the stage quality to improve rendering performance in Flash Player AIR? StageQuality doesn't seem to have any effect at all. Is this a known bug or am I doing something wrong? I'm using this in the Main() app class constructor:
stage.quality = StageQuality.LOW;
Is there no other way to improve performance in AIR apps?
Why and when? Because I addChild to the stage 1000 times but only removeChild 800 times, and even so, stage.numChildren returns to 0 after all my objects have exceeded the stage boundary. I have to mention that I am moving objects from left to right (it's a game) and the object's X and Y properties eventually exceed the stage boundaries. Does something happen automatically then??? Like... events removed or something like that? This is a continuation of this thread of mine, where I initially thought addChildren has issues: [URL].
I have a code here, that should save the stage to a file, but when I click the button that runs the function that has this code on the browser, it doesn't work. The window asking where to save is not shown.
How does flash player handle objects when they are no longer on the visible stage? Is the graphical data still in memory? Does hittestobject/point consider them? Are enterframe and interval events still running?
In AS2 I would hold metaobjects (minimal x,y,width,height data) that would delete/create movieclips as the screen scrolled. Is this still a correct approach in AS3? If not, is there anything I can do to offstage display objects that improves efficiency, assuming around 400 are created initially?
