I am embedding swf object into my html document, but its showing border on top and left of swf object, how to remove it? Same result on all browsers. If I increase the dimensions of swf object then border start appearing on all sides. I don't want the border at all.
View 1 RepliesPlease help! I'm designing an HTML website and added an animated Flash image using the object tag. I was handcoding on Dreamweaver and before I saved it I got this message asking me if the code should be modified for compatibility with IE8.
So I just clicked on 'Yes' and a 'script' folder was generated.
The Flash image appears on Firefox 3.5 but comes up with the dreaded red 'x' on IE8.
My question is related to putting a border around an image. I am dynamically loading images from an xml file and they appear as thumbnails. I want to put a 1 or 2 pixel black border around the image when I load it. The problem that I see is that some of the images are portrait and others, landscape. I hope there is a way to do this in AS? I have searched the forum but nothing.

It works for the most part, but when the images have not loaded on the persons machine before, there is an occasional glitch preventing it from displaying properly(the border shrinks to nothing, the loading bar goes to aobut 10px, etc.)

Just thought I'd see if this is possible with the XML Photo Gallery.1. Is it possible to create a dynamic border for the loaded image depending on the size of the image being loaded? 2. Is it possible to move the Y position of the caption text box depending on the height of the loaded image? ie if the image is 200 pixels high, then the text box should be positioned at 220 pixels.The current code I have which loads the images then automatically scrolls through them is:

The big problem with this error is it's extremely hard to troubleshoot as i have to upload the SWF, and clear my cache everytime.

View 10 RepliesI was working on a frame by frame scene when all of a sudden (I don't exactly remember what I did) borders show up around each brush stroke I draw like the figure shown here:
I tried turning off highlights (Ctrl + H), but the borders keep re appearing. Basically, I just want to revert back to the original selection mode as well as get rid of the borders after I draw my brushes like this figure shown below:
How do I turn off highlights / object borders permanently as well as enable regular brush selection?
I'm well aware of the Eleos/Microsoft issues that came before IE 8. However this isn't my problem. My company's website is able to display the swf file fine in FF but in IE, as soon as somebody clicks on the swf file, it does its thing without having to double-click (as in the ActiveX issue previously discussed) but also has what looks like a pink border around it. I'm testing in IE and created the Flash component in Flash CS4 using AS 3.0.Like I said before, the SWF object is activated on the first click, and doesn't have to do with the previously mentioned ActiveX control issue.
View 5 RepliesI am kind of new to the whole flash sceen and am getting a little bit frustrated with the snapping (I am used to Photoshop Snapping). I have a bunch of objects the exact same size as the stage and I would like to snap them to the stage (I am making a slideshow-rotating image). I always find myself having to zoom in extreamly to make sure the edge of my image is lined up with the edge of the stage... is there a way to snap my images to the stage.

I have a background with a border that is behind dynamic images. I am trying to resize the background to custom fit each jpg that is loaded. However, I cannot get the width/height from the movieclip the jpgs are loaded into and I can't get the width/height from the jpgs.
Here is what I tried:

I'm not sure what is causing this but I have objects that are transparent on the stage till they are called (object.alpha==0). The background image is of a room with fairly bright light.But when the background changes to a dark room the transparent items in front of it have white outlines around them...making the file unusable.

I've reworked my logic about five times, and can get the dashes to render right (almost) but the fill color disappears. It's rendered using actionscript. You can see the issues if you change the border width... Anyone mind taking a look to see what I'm doing wrong? It seems like the moveTo function isn't behaving right when I get to the end of each line.

I have a frame_mc that get scaled 400 % onPress with a fusekit tween. Now I'll like to anchor a title_mc to the the top edge of the frame_mc without scaling it. How to do that? onEnterframe in the onPress function?
View 0 RepliesI'm trying to make a little program. It works right now by drawing the top shape to the dark gray area, where it then copies itself and changes color. The new shape can be re-dragged as well. What I want to do now is add a dynamic border when I click on the new object, I want the box to adjust to an appropriate size. And on mouse release I want the selection border to disappear on the new shape. I want the selection border to be dashed much like you find in many of Adobe's programs, if at all possible.

I have a skin that's base clas is GraphicRectangularBorderSkin (from degrafa). I'm using it as a panel skin. I'm using Degrafa 3.2, Flex 3.2. It throws a #1502 error (thrown when a script runs too long) every time. Basically, the cloud is going to move across the sky then get hidden by the mask so it does not appear on the background stage.
I have a movieclip that is loaded into a container movieclip. When I click on it, I want it to goto a particular frame and play. Have tried using the name of the container MC (LiftPlaceHolder.gotoAndPlay(10)) but this has no effect at all.
