I want to dynamically add different items to thumbContent canvas and use scroller canvas to scroll. I see than the height of thumbContent bigger than 7977 it truncate from scrolling. So - I see the scroller canvas with empty space on top. Then I scroll to bottom - I see the content of thumbContent and at bottom scrolling I see empty space too.

Oct 17, 2009I have a situation where a simple query against a table is returning incorrect values in Flex, but not in other GUI front-ends to SQLite.
select title from ttl where ttl.ttl = 140 // ttl is also the column name of the PK column
is returning the title that belongs to the row whose PK = 1400.
ttl.ttl is defined as int datatype.
Again, the problem manifests itself only in Flex, not in other GUI front-ends to SQLite, which are returning the correct title value.
ActionScript 3.0 :: Unable To Get The Copyright Symbol To Display With Myriad Pro
Mar 9, 2010I can't seem to get the Copyright symbol to display with Myriad Pro. The font embeds properly and displays fine, just the � symbol won't show up. I've tried:
- Embedding an swf with the font embedded in it with the '�' set to be included, when I export it the symbol is there.
- Embedding the otf file for the typeface.
- Tried embedding other typefaces otf files.

Jul 12, 2010I am making flash segments for one of my professors for online teaching and the way he has his server set up, whenever there are interactive segments, the segments are done on one frame. Right now I am trying to make an interactive segment where you click on input variables to an AND gate (in circuitry) to change the input from 0 and 1, and then based on these inputs it will show the output.
Basically I want to start out by having them all display ?'s, and then if you click on the ? it turns into a 1 and then clicking again goes to a 0 and 1 and 0 etc. How can I either change what these buttons look like or how can I change the buttons to go from the ? button to the 1 button while all staying on one frame? I am very very new to actionscript (I know how to AddEvent Listener, etc, I just need to know what to write for my function)

You can hover over any of the bar graph examples on this page for a demonstration. I have a graph situation where I optionally draw in some dots as reference points on CartesianDataCanvases supplied to my AreaChart through it's <mx:annotationElements> and <mx:backgroundElements> tags.
I would like to have the same hover data-tip functionality that the AreaChart has, but applied to these dots. I realize that I am just drawing on canvas, and that no actual dataProvider supports these dots, but if there was a way to supply the CartesianDataCanvas with an array of data values or something to that effect,

Nov 28, 2010I need the exact simple application but the ability to choose a background image from a file on the server as the canvas and I want to save the created image on a server file instead of on the client machine. The ability to change the pencil drawing size would be an additional plus. I work with php and mysql so I would like to use them to store the file parameters, even as a blob in mysql, along with some additional user (server) defined variables (I can do the php/mysql side if I can get the file there, I understand there is an swf to png ByteArray class that might be able to save on server. The project is for an opensource group so the final product would need to remain as such, I would be able to pay for the modifications mentioned above. Aug 31, 2009I'm trying componentize one of the pieces of UI in an AIR application that I'm developing in Flex. In this example, I want to display file information on a single line (which has an icon, some text/link and the size).
My code looks like this (component is called FileDisplay):

However, when I do this, I get an error: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. This is because the child components of the FileDisplay are null (or at least they show up that way in the debugger). Am I supposed to be waiting for events indicating the child components were created? For now I can manually do everything in ActionScript in my main app (create a Canvas and add children to it) but how to separate the code more cleanly.

My code above works absolutely fine, until i resize my browser window to a size below 800px width. When the browser window is make of lesser width than 800px, the canvas with background color #A8A8A8 is on the right of the window, but the problem is, when I move the scroll bar, the canvas should remain on the right of the window. Which does not happen, and that is what my problem is.
How can I solve this issue. What should I do to keep my canvas be on the right=0 all the time.
