I have a Hgroup that contains of four panels. Sometimes it happens then when users open it the panls have a unknown width even bigger than the window resolution.

Because, title is a private variable in panel, I can't access it via title.width.I know the font, fontsize (14), and length of the title (which will vary). Knowing this info is there a way to calculate how many pixels wide the title is?

This does not happen with the mx Panel.unning Flex 4.1 on Windows 7I tried putting mx and spark controls in the spark Panel, and they both appear outside of the boundaries. I've made an user login, working with php and MySQL. When the user logs in, he can see all of his details, loaded from a database. Here he can press a button to change this content. After changing it, he needs to press the "save" button to load the new data into the database. But everytime the user presses the save button, it's adding an extra line to the data into the database, which results in an error of displaying the data. How do you display data on a LineChart that cuts off where there is no more data? For example, if I am showing a chart of company revenue for 2010, the chart should only show up to July now (with August and forward on showing no data). This would make the line in the line chart break and dissappear off at about midway through the year.

However, when I first launched the software I am getting the following error: The following panel layout is missing or could not be read: /users/rob/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Flash CS5.5/en_US/Configuration/Workspace/Essentials.xml The application will not have a correct layout. load one from Windows ->Workspace Once past this message none of the panels load.

Once I've set either the width or percentWidth property on a flex label, is there a way to reset the width to its default (i.e., the width of the text plus padding)? I'm using the label as a renderer. In some cases, I'd like it to automatically size to the text, and in other cases, I'd like it to be a percentage width of its container. Obviously, I could use two separate labels, one for each of the above cases, but I'm curious if it's possible to reset the label to its default behavior.

View 2 RepliesI am drawing a cellular automaton simulation on a Flex Canvas. I alternate computing the state of the automaton with updating the graphics on the Panel. However, the updating of the Panel does not seem to be "keeping up" with the update of the CA state.
I'm wondering whether I am doing something wrong with my handling of the graphics code. The code is below. Sorry it's so lengthy, but I don't think the problem will happen with anything simpler (well, it probably will, but I'm not certain I want to take the time to find it).

I'm trying to implement a collapsible TitleWindow popup by adding a handle to the top right corner of a Panel control. Unfortunately, the image that I add as the handle doesn't show up when the control is drawn. I can trigger a redraw by changing the source of the image, so apparently it's there, but it's somehow hidden. Is there a way to make this Image control visible to the user?Here's the code for the window:

I have a page (below) that has a datagrid that lists "item"'s returned from an XML file (below) and when it loads it created a page in the viewstack for each item it finds (working) it also renders a page (below) inside each panel but i am having issues passing the data. Each page renders and loads but with the FIRST result of the XML data instead of each page having its own data they all have the same as the first page.
