Gas3 is not able to find my custom template.
I replaced the default path:
class:org/granite/generator/template/remoteBase.gsp
With my file, like this:
class:myPackage/remoteBase.gsp
But every time Gas3 tries to create the .as of my classes I get a Resource not Found exception. I tried different paths but all gave me the same error.
I'm looking to extend Vector.<T>, but it's final, so I'm going to have to include it as a member instead.Regardless, I'd like to make the wrapper class type independant, so I was wondering what the snytax for template classes are.
View 6 RepliesI am coming from flash to flashbuilder I have a directory, AS3_classes_dir, on my computer that stores all of my classes, including my greensock and papervision packages. In every flash app that I make I include that directory in the Source Path, so that I can import whatever I may need. Compiling in flash (using ctrl/enter) takes very little time; only the classes that are specifically imported are compiled.So today I did that in flashbuilder, included AS3_classes_dir via Flex Build Path/Source Path ... but now the compile time are a couple of minutes, even though I am not even importing ANY of the classes from within.

I have put placeholder text (I have proper text to fill in later) into a static text field that is inside a movie clip on the main timeline which can scroll with as2 however only shows 2/3 of the text. I've tried to see if there is a character limit for the field?

The difference here are two things, the earlier error is while converting flash event to custom event and now this one is while converting custom event to flash event and secondly, I have no clue why it is trying to convert to the mouseevent where I am just dispatching my custom event with proper listeners.

I have started the vhost setup. I have cpanel on the server and I added the domain and it resolves to
the hosting account just fine pull up www.domain.com and goes to server.
I added the www.domain.com vhost. I pointed the application dir to /home/domain/public_html/applications/
I copied live over to applications dir. I setup user and pass for the virtual host login.
I have a custom motion path and a symbol. I want to use attachmovie to put the symbol on the page and go on that patch.

I have set full path to all the swf files but preload.swf because I can't find the appropriate parameter anywhere. Now I get 404 error message for preload.swf in consolo.

It's a bus going along its route. instead of dragging out the frames to get it to be the right length ( i have multiple bus tweens running) is there a way to export the tween for actionscript or xml and adjust the total duration of the tween as one would a normal tween created in actionscript?
View 1 RepliesI am currently looking to see what the bounding are for the start drag method. And by the looks of it the bounding is set by passing the rect() object to the dragUpdater/ constructor. My question then is can you pass a custom drawn shape like a curve or what ever? By the looks of it you can not as specified by the adobe reference doc.

So from this I would conclude that to have a custom drag path one would have to create a custom class.

Go into project explorer and can't see much AS so how the hwll are they getting the images and text into the flash swf. By the html??? I don't think so.
I am trying to make a progress bar to show the my application loading status. I google a lot but it only shows how to use progress bar for elements (ex: images, datagrid). I need to know the progress bar setup for the entire application.

The motivation here is that I can now create a couple different skin files to change the look and layout of those subgroups. Reading source of the spark panel, there are some calls within the mx_internal namespace such as getMXMLContent() which is a method of the spark group component, but which I have no access to.
Does the description above make sense? How can I create custom 'contentGroups' in my custom Flex4 component that can use nested mxml child components? Should I approach this a different way?
I've set up an application to print the current state of the control I'm using (in this case an ArcGIS server map), but I'd like to set up a print function that uses it's own template to print rather than grabbing the state of the application.
I've attempted to do this by setting up a flex component that lays out the items I want to print and instantiating it when I call the FlexPrintJob. Unfortunately, simply instantiating it results in getting a blank green square.
There are two main questions about this that I'd like to put out there. First, what needs to be done to print a newly instantiated template rather than just grabbing already existing controls from the screen? Second, for more controls that need to load complicated data from multiple sources, like an ArcGIS map, is it possible to instantiate them in that kind of environment, or is there a way to take an image of the control in the application and print that?

I am planing to setup all of controls ( more than 100 visible ) on a Flex application to alpha below 1, which will make them a bit transparent, but i am wondering if this will affect the performance of the application. - The event listener does not listen to the custom event duspatched by an AS class.
Those who wonder, the event really gets dispatched, that's why I added a trace call.
I would like to know how to proceed to set up a work environment in order to develop Spring BlazeDS applications. Those server applications are meant to be accessed via AMF remoting from some client Flex application.Actually I have Maven and m2eclipse set up and working, local JBoss v6.0M2 running, Flex 4 plugin installed.Ideally, I would like to know how to create an eclipse project in which I can have both server (Java) and client (Flex) code and be able to deploy everything in one click to JBoss. Maybe there is a special Maven archetype for this setup? If not, I will be happy if someone can provide step by step instructions to setup all this stuff.

View 2 RepliesI have a situation where I have to a have a few different sized "cameras" to send over a netstream depending on if its a desktop or mobile connected. Here's how I have it setup:

If i do JUST the nearCamForMobile and send that to the mobile versaion it looks great on the phone and it's not stretched. but then obviously its 480x800 resolution looks stretched on the desktop version which is a 385x240 video box. So if i do just the nearCam it looks great on the desktop but then it looks stretched on the mobile....
So what im curious is why Cant I do both vars the way I showed above, display the nearCam, and then have the nearCamForMobile waiting to be sent when i need it to?
Can you only have one camera mode setup at a time? On the mobile version its setup so the user is holding the phone in potrait and its 840x480. The desktop site looks best when its like a widescreen video.
In the end I'm basically trying to figure out how to have 2 camera vars with 2 resolutions. Display 1 on the near side and attach the other to the netstream in a situation where the far is a mobile client. (I know how to figure out if the far is mobile, im not worried about that part)
I just need to be able to transmit a resolution/aspect ratio that looks good for a mobile client. which happens to be in a different aspect ratio than the desktop cleint.
In the main file, I would write[code]...
But if I want the component to have that behaviour innately, where do I write it in the mybutton mxml file to have it reference itself?[code]...

I have a custom Flex 4.5 component (to be used in a List) -
