I need to filter log messages based on the log level and a text appearing in the log message. These messages are in the following form: 2/23/2009 17:33:26.379 [INFO] TMSNG.Main Channelset configured with url [http://172.16.34.4:8080/tms-flux/messagebroker/streamingamf] 12/23/2009 17:33:26.380 [DEBUG] org.springextensions.actionscript.core.command.CompositeCommand Executing composite command '[object CompositeCommand]' in sequence
I already have the code below that creates 2 regular expressions (one for the level and one for the text) but I was wondering how I could combine these into one. I tried several combinations, but since my regexp skills are non-existing I couldn't get this to work.

how use a button (or movieclip) to filter information out of a datagrid based on an external XML document. For example, say, the data were types of fruit along with their corresponding prices, but the user was only interested in the price of apples. To see only those records or rows with apples and the corresponding apple prices, the user would press the "Apples" button.
Creating the datagrid seems pretty straight forward, it's just the second part that's stumped me. Whatever the answer is would seem to go at the end where the "trace" is now. There seems to be many, many Web sites that sort of touch on this subject.I typed of the following from memory (I'm at work now), but I think this is pretty much what I have so far.

I have to validate a textfield in AS3 if there are chars like # $ % @ ~ | {} [] / etc. i.e find unnecessary chars and remove them from the textfield. I use a search AS3 function which works with regular expressions, I would like a regular expression so that a search function searches the characters above and if it finds any of them then returns true.

So I'm working on a very simple animation with some large text areas and have noticed something rather irritating. I'm hoping that someone can tell me why this is happening, and also hopefully a way around it.
When I view the .swf, I'm noticing that text that fits perfectly in the text areas in the .fla is being pushed down passed the edge of the text area. So when the movie exports, something weird happens and the text gets cut off at the bottom. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem, and does anyone know of a way to fix it?

Im supposed to make a marquee that has curved dynamic text scrolling through it. I used the displacement map filter for this and it almost works. the only problem is that when the dynamic text field gets to a certain x position, the filter stalls, but the text continues to scroll. Find whether the text is appearing before other tag are after other tag. For example if the text1 is appearing in xml before <pic> tag means the text boxes are arranged the following way.
1. Text_box_1 appear first
2. picture_box appear second
3. Text_box_2 appear third

If i do not embed any glyphs, it appears exactly as written.I've done this in other animations and never had a problem with it. I am trying to get a regex match on HTML code that is parsed into a text box in flash. I have successfully loaded the HTML code and then began the regex matching, but am stuck on getting the right regex expression to match. The code that I am using in html page builds a tree view list on the html page, so once it's loaded into the flash text box, i am trying to match the html pages to build a list from. The code below is what I am trying to match. The code I want to match is the first two items in quotes for each entry to build the array list of page names, and their URL. The problem is that the pages won't be named as nice as the example below. Each time it can be a different page name, and page url, so I need to match what is in the first two quotes.[code]

I've been struggling with this problem for a while:I have a string containing HTML and I'm using a regular expression to get the characters between the tags. I'm then attempting to apply a TextFormat to those characters.The problem is that I'm using the TextField's "htmlText" property instead of it's "text" property (because I don't want the HTML tags to be visible). So, the character index that's returned from the regular expression is incorrect, when I apply the TextFormat.Here is some sample code which illustrates the problem:

Does anyone know why the first part of my CSS formatted is the only part that shows? I know the rest of my text is formatted correctly because I can erase the first part, and only show the other portion. I just want to be able to load a decent size set of text into a text block I am making with a scrollbar.

I've added text to the stage and if I test it out using ctrl+enter, it does not show up. If the swf "loads"/"simulate load" then the text shows up, but not in the correct font.This is the error when the swf is not preloaded:VerifyError: Error #1014: Class flashx.textLayoutcontainer::Container Controller could not be found.at flash.display::MovieClip/nextFrame()at spot_fla::MainTimeline/l()I've also recently added an AS3(CS5) preloader which is when this started. The library mc items have been set to export in frame 2 but the font doesn't show up. The font has been embedded as well but linking/unlinking it does nothing. The AS3 preloader is a simple script that a lot of tutorials online use.The textfield is located in frame 2 of the timeline and is not referenced in AS. However it is inside of a mc that has a mouse listener on it(mc).

I am creating dynamic TextFields in actionscript 3.0. Like many others, my text disappears when I set .embedFonts = true; ArialSlim is embedded and exported for actionscript. I have successfully tested with trace(Font.enumerateFonts()); Interestingly enough, when I comment out the embed line (as shown below), the font works properly. Alternatively, .setTextFormat(); also works properly without the .embedFonts line.
