Making Text And Images Not Scale Whilst The Whole Flash Doc Fills Browser?

Aug 25, 2010

how I can have my swf fill the entire browser (as in publish settings 100% w & h etc) but not stretch/distort the text and images in the swf.

There is a site [URL] that does this. It fills the whole screen yet when you resize, the objects do not become distorted.

I may have the wrong approach with publish settings width & height 100%??

Actionscript 3 :: Flash Webcam Access Request Prompt Unresponsive

Jun 24, 2010

I have a parent swf called Main.swf that loads a child Registration.swf via a regular loader class then adds it to the stage. This child has a webcam function that captures an image but before that happens it prompts the user for permission to allow the webcam to be turned on. The problem I'm having is that in my IDE the prompt works like a charm and continues through to capturing image data. When I plop the files on a live server it fails. A friend recommended that it's most likely an issue with how I'm requesting permission from the child, so instead I'm calling an event to the parent telling IT to prompt and still no luck. Having the same issues. Note: The parent .swf was published as Player 9 and the child is in Player 10. I had to do it this way because each package has dependencies that require it.

Then you can also click on another object and it will bring to the new object that you just clicked on.I can do half of it, but actually when one object's z coordinate reaches 0, it flip around and then go at the back.what i want to achieve but how can avoid making the object flip or just tell him to stay where it is so i can always go back to initial position of the camera and then click again on it.

Javascript :: Resize Flash Object From The Browser Without Flickering?

Jul 10, 2011

I was wondering how to achieve the native scrollbar effect which TheFWA (thefwa.com) has managed to do pretty well (I am not a fan of Flex scrollbars).and implemented the technique, as I am calling a JS function through ExternalInterface every time, when the flash object changes size. This JS function simply resizes the div which holds the flash object, which creates the native bars.Unfortunately, when I resize quite rapidly (from 800 to 1800 height, for instance) the flash object simply gets warped for several milliseconds (as if it hasn't changed its size, but simply got pulled in all directions). After these milliseconds, things get back to normal, but the whole situation is really visually annoying.

Originally I thought that it's simply a timing issue, but after a bunch of attempts to set a delay, the effect was the same ... just delayed.How can I resolve that? I know it's technically possible. Just take a look at TheFWA, and see how smoothly flash and the browser are communicating with each other to make the native scroll bars work, without any flickering, or mismeasurement

Media Server :: FMS 4.5 Interactive Becoming Unresponsive

Clean 4.5 install with no custom adjustments. My developers say that, according to the logs, I've a problem on a protocol level. I have no idea of what's happening (fmscore is active - no crashes), maybe is this the limit for a 1 gbps line? I'm using Windows 2008 R2 Web Edition, I've red somewhere that this particular version of Windows "may" have connection limits, maybe is this the reason?

ActionScript 3.0 :: MovieClip Unresponsive To Mouse Over?

Mar 19, 2009

I'm loading an image into a thumbnail button in flash from an XML file.

The button will scale up when it is mouse-over'd (is this a word?)

Here is the loading of the image into the movieclip

Code:
imageLoader = new Loader();
//imageURLArray[i] = "image.jpg"
imageLoader.load(new URLRequest(imageURLArray[i]));

[Code]....

Without the image loaded in it works fine. But with the image loaded in, the image is on top of the button so the scale event triggers the Loader object to scale ( instead of the button it is parented to). Is there a way to make the Loader object or the moveiclip it's parented to (imageHolder) unresponsive to a mouse over so only the thumbnail will scale (and its children as a result of course).

Here is the parenting if you need help visualizing it:

[ thumnail:MovieClip ] --child--> [ imageHolder:MovieClip ] --child--> [ Loader:dont know]

ActionScript 2.0 :: Making XML Gallery Full Screen (Browser)

Jul 23, 2009

I am using an XML Gallery on my website and I would like to make it full screen (take up the entire browser) -- instead of its current size. I have played around with the code for hours and pulled most of my hair out and STILL I have no luck on making it fullscreen... I get the positions changed but I can't manage to enlarge it to the whole browser.

Here is my code used to align the holder on the stage and the gallery components (bttnPrev and bttnNext are on the left and right of the image to control movement to other images):

Code:
alignPic = function () {
holder._x = (stageW-holder._width)/2;
holder._y = (stageH-holder._height-menu_mc._height)/2;
bg_mc.bg._x = holder._x;

ActionScript 2.0 :: Making A Page Where Background Needs To Scale To Browser?

Jul 18, 2009

Fairly new to this sort of thing. I am making a page where the background needs to scale to the browser. Background is a mc. Here is the code:

Stage.scaleMode = "noScale";
Stage.align = "C";
sizeListener = new Object();

[Code]....

Now what i've noticed is that when it first loads into the browser it does not scale. When I manipulate the browser by pulling up on the bottom of the browser the background distorts and the top of the background is hidden. When I slide the left side of the browser to the right the background again becomes distorted and slightly hidden on the right edge of the browser.

By the way it seems like it ignores the actionscript when it first loads. Then when I first try and do a resize it follows the above actionscript once . Then it ignores it for any future resizes.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Making A Slideshow - Doesn't Work If I Test It In A Browser

Aug 2, 2009

I'm working on a slideshow using a class that I wrote that builds the slideshow and an XML file that points to the images. I plan on improving it later but for now I just want it to cycle through a set of images, resize them if they're too big or small, and show a loading bar while the image is loading. It works fine if I test it in the Flash IDE or standalone Flash Player, but if I drag the SWF into Firefox or Safari, the loading bar refuses to show up. I also tried publishing to an HTML file and that didn't work either. I figured there could only be two different reasons why it wasn't showing up - either it wasn't being added to the stage, it wasn't being made visible after it's initially set to invisible. I decided to comment out the part of the code that make it invisible to begin with the loading bar showed up, but it wasn't showing how much of the image had been loaded when it changed to a new picture. Here's my code:

[Code]...

For some reason the pictureLoading function isn't being called when I test it in any browser. I've seen the loading bar randomly pop up a few in times in Safari 4 but then I try closing the window and testing it again and I get nothing. Can anyone help me figure this out? About:plugins in Firefox says I have Flash Player 10.0.22 installed, and I'm using Flash CS3 in OS X.
