ActionScript 2.0 :: 3D Movement In Flash - Avoid Making The Object Flip?

3D movement in Flash. Basically what i want is to have 2 or > objecton the stage placed on different z axis and when u click on one object it brings the camera forward to the specific coordinates. Then you can also click on another object and it will bring to the new object that you just clicked on.I can do half of it, but actually when one object's z coordinate reaches 0, it flip around and then go at the back.what i want to achieve but how can avoid making the object flip or just tell him to stay where it is so i can always go back to initial position of the camera and then click again on it.

Working on a maze game. When the leftkey is pressed the movieclip (char) should turn 90 degrees to the left.
char.scaleX *= -1;
However, the most important thing is that the character doesnt go through the walls of the maze.And I think thats my problem for implementing the code above.Because it doesnt work properly when i put in here;

I'm looking to force the cursor to slow down/stop moving when it gets close to a MovieClip. Idealy you would be able to rollover the MovieClip when moving the cursor slowly but if the cursor is moving at some speed, it would be forced to stop at the edge of the MovieClip.

I'm using jQuery Autocomplete just as in this example: [URL] The problem is, the area where you see the Result box in that example - that's where my flash object is. So, when the autocomplete dropdown appears, most of the text is concealed by the flash object (which I can't move). How can I make the autocomplete text appear over the flash object (concealing its view rather than vice versa)?

I'm making a shooting game, would like the gun to flip _xscale when you move the gun past half the width of the stage. Here's the script I made which doesn't work and is probably not written correctly:

creating a flip-book in flash (using AS3) . I've looked at the other flip-book programs and editors out there, and none really give the customization that my company wants.I have something working, but the page scoping seems to be off. The pages will turn back and forward with a button click but they flip out of order. However, it all runs fine with no error when the user clicks on the pages themselves. This is the code from the main timeline (where I'm getting an error).

I hope that this topic hasn't been discussed ad nauseum; I searched the forums for similar discussion threads to no avail. I completed the Flash MX object movement tutorial found at [URL].I then wanted to add a second instance of the beetle symbol to the stage and assign it both a new instance name and a different set of keyboard keys that would control its movement.
When I test the movie, I am able to control each symbol instance with its assigned keys. (The instances move and rotate as they should.) However, when the first instance rotates and moves to the right, the second instance "slides" with it. That is, the second instance's assigned keys have not been pressed and it doesn't rotate, but it moves right in unison with the other instance.

I have function init, which runs on the creationComplete of the application. The init calls get_login_share_object funtion, in which objects are created, which are null.
Now my problem is that, I get a null object reference error on the Alert in "init()". How can I avoid that. Is it possible that I can have a check to see, if the objects are null the program should just skip reading the objects.

1. Character Movement: as you know the iPhone/iPod touch doesnt have any sort of keypad and so when creating a game that has character movements onscreen buttons need to be used. My question is this; how exactly do i make it so that when the player taps/holds down a button (is the same as mouse clicking it) my character moves.
2. adding a physics style fall: once i have created this movement using on screen buttons i now need to create a jump, so what i need is something so that when the player clicks the "jump" button the sprite moves up a certain amount and then stops moving up and falls down.

well i've read the random movement tutorial but now i only want things to move randomly horizontelly; on the x axis. I'm pretty sure this is possible since most things are with flash so would anyone know what AS would be used? i've treid the one here: [URL] and deleting stuff that i think is not relevant. I'm developing a flash application. I am looking for a simple way to animate my camera's movement. Is there any built in tweening library that supports the camera object? I've checked out greensock.com, but I couldn't figure out how to use their libraries for the camera object.
EDIT: by camera I mean the viewing perception. Not a real hard drive web camera.

how I can flip a movie clip during a drag and drop when it hits a certain axis on my stage? So If I have the letter L and am dragging it from right to left. When I hit the mid way point of my stage I wand that L to flip and look like a backwards L, but allow me to keep dragging.
