Mar 17, 2010i have a situation whereby the user can upload an an image to my application. Then they can manipulate it by scaling etc. What I want to do now is allow them to change the tint/colour of their image, for the purpose of getting it to suit the other elements of the page better. Is there any simple/third party code to do this does anyone know? I'm picturing maybe a slider or something to tweak it.

Dec 12, 2006In my main flash page I'm trying to have other swf files load into it. When I test the movie in flash, everything works as it should. But when I upload it to a server, it only allows one swf movie to load. Anyone know why this is? Does it have to do with security?

Sep 3, 2009I created an FLA file through Adobe Flash CS4. My problem is, I compressed the file as a .sitx and put it on my server, so that I can use it on another machine. However, on a different machine, using the same version of Flash, it will not open. Flash says:
Failed to open document (FIle Path)
The SWF file can be opened through Flash, just not the FLA.

Jul 22, 2011I'm writing a small application for myself and instead of using a database I'd like to just use Excel to store the small amount of data I have on my local file system. I want to be able to load that data without having to use the typical FileReference browse() method as it would just be annoying to do every time I use the application.
The code below seems to find the file fine as the file.exists method below and most of the other attributes seem to be correct but the file.data is always null.I'm guessing this is a security issue and that's why I'm running into this problem but I thought I'd ask and see if there is in fact a way around this problem.

I work in webdesign, video, 3D and illustration and this personal project eats my free time You should set the answers and questions in the XML file called "bdenglish.xml", it contains a basic example. The bot will understand the new nodes. Actionscript(FLA) processes the user input text and search for an answer in the XML file. The bot can understand several ways to make a question. Also it can memorise the conversation subject if you use XML propierties (It is unfinished) The user can use ENTER key or the SEND button. The bot can know the genre of the user because it is male like default, but it search in a female names list. The output field answer is HTML text, also it support images, animations or sounds. The bot can chat in several languages. You can synchronize video with the answers (bot expression), I am woking in a basic function with video.
I am workin in a alternative answer motor, it would work with the XML. I want to use lipsync in the future for a talking version. How it works? - The bot converts the XML database to an multidimensional array.- The user writes a question - This input is processed in the AS code - The bot searchs in the multidimensional array - The first word must be found - The bot answer the question or it responds something if the question is not found I am not programmer and the AS3 bot was hard for me, but it works. Upon my home page loading, I have a dynamic text box with the welcome text which is populated by my xml file, here is my code for AS2:

Jun 1, 2010I cant load and external text file into my dynamic text box...when i trace the loaded var it can be found, but when it's loaded inside the text box, the value that appears is really strange.i tried to load the vars into the MC and on a level, the result is the same, it can be traced but does not appear correctly on the textbox..the code i used is here..i made a text box with about_us instance name, loaded the variables and tried to load my text inside it by setting the text property of the textbox but as u will see...
