Php :: Html - Import Text From A User Generated Txt-file To A Div With PHP?

Feb 23, 2011

This is my first experience with PHP, so bare with me. I've made an Ecard using Flash and Dreamweaver. On the Ecard is a form to fill out, your name, your email, a comment, and the name and email to the person you are sending the ecard to.[URL].. When you push the "Submit"-button it sends an email to the receiver, and it creates a .txt file on my server with the info.

The .txt-file has a unique name generated by:

$mailCount = $_POST['me_count'];
$senderName = $_POST['me_name'];
$senderEmail= $_POST['me_email'];

Using Flash CS4 and having the Flash plug-in ver 10 on my PC, the generated html file will not play the swf in the browser.I noticed that the active-x javascript is now included in the header as well as the javascript portion in the body tag.But it won't play.  I get the typical blank window in IE with the "X" in the upper left corner.I don't have this problem with Flash CS3.

Browser Detection - Open The Html File That Is Generated Along With The Swf

Jul 11, 2009

Whenever I publish a Flash project, when I open the html file that is generated along with the swf, I am never able to see the swf embedded in the html file (when I open it in Dreamweaver, for example.) This is frustrating as far as manipulating the html file is concerned. All I see is some text about "Place alternate content here for those w/o Flash Player installed, etc." Why can't I see the swf file? It is there as expected when I upload all the proper files and/or view them in a browser locally. Alternatively, what I am having to do in order to design the html file properly is open a new file and embed the swf manually. But this approach is not good as I am missing out on all the other browser detection features that the html file that is published by Flash includes naturally. How can I preserve this benefit and still get into the details of designing the html file?

ActionScript 3.0 :: Flash Sending User-generated Info To The User

Feb 22, 2011

We have a sort of game, generated with Flash in AS3, on our website where the reader is invited to eliminate the California Budget Deficit. It's connected to a database where we keep track of the responses and print them in chart form and post the results on the website so everyone can see the most popular budget items the readers want to cut.

See the interactive in question here:

[URL]

We've had many, many requests to have an option where the reader can get a copy of his/her choices that he/she can print out. I've thought about having a movieclip pop up that shows those choices (and that would be simple enough), but in addition to that, what I'd really like to do is have a way to download those choices to the reader's computer as a text file or maybe have a "Print" button on the movieclip showing the choices that would print just that movieclip. The database we have wouldn't really be suitable because it's set up to simply show which were chosen and which not, and the names of the submissions and choices are variables that don't really mean anything except to us when we put it all in an excel file.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Dynamic Text Input From Generated Text File?

May 10, 2008

Im currently doing work for a local cinema that wants session times to be displayed as .swf's on a few monitors in the foyer, but Im having difficulties writing the script for it, here's the situation:The session times are generated daily as a text file by the ticketing software, it looks like this:

12 1 0950 101 0 330 0 M MADE OF HONOUR
1 1 1000 95 0 400 0 M WHAT HAPPENS IN
6 1 1000 95 0 154 0 M SMART PEOPLE
9 1 1010 92 0 300 0 PG MISS PETTIGREW

[code]...

Additional requirements are the times disappearing after the session has started as well as session times 13-16 being displayed as a separate .swf (first class seating)So i guess my main question is "can i dynamically load text from a multi-line txt file without editing the txt file to include variable assignment? ('content=' etc)" the txt file generated is intended for an led display and is apparently a Texas Instruments standard.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Creating A User Generated Swf?

Jan 15, 2010

I am looking to build a Flash/Flex application that would allow users to edit certain portions of an application and then be able to download a swf when they are finished customizing. Is it possible to embed content in swf files and save them on the fly? Or would I need to have them download the generic swf that points to an xml file to load the custom data? I know you can save out generated images from a Flash app using server side scripting, but I'm unaware of anything similar for swf files.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Large User-Generated Map Lags ?

Dec 28, 2010

I've been working on a top-down shooter.I have it set up so that a map can be generated using an array which is loaded from an external .txt file. This works perfectly fine... Until the map generated reaches a certain size.A map size 1850 pixels by 1000 pixels works perfectly fine. But if you double the size, it becomes nearly unplayable. The map is generated from a determined number of 50 pixel by 50 pixel movieclips (they are plain black), each one is created (using attachMovieClip) where ever the array contains the corresponding value.

I thought at first it was the fact that I was moving the entire _root when the player moved (there has to be a better way, suggestions?), but that was dumb considering that the lag exists before the player even starts moving (bullets lag).

Flash :: Import Variables From A Text-based File?

Nov 12, 2011

I couldn't find a good, clear question and answer for this in StackExchange, so I'll pose this as clearly as I can and hopefully get a clear, concise answer.Suppose I have a .txt* file with variables for a bunch of objects of one type that I was to load into an ActionScript 3 program. I can use an import statement such as:

[Embed(source="test.txt",mimeType="application/octet-stream")]
private var testFile:Class;

for some of the places where I need to do this, but I also need to know how it's different for files chosen by the user from their local hard drive.n code, how can I convert this file, testFile:Class into an array, result:Array, of strings?*: If you have a solution using .xml or another format, please also include a sample of what the file's contents would look like and how you would get them into variables within AS3Edit: Below is a quick example file I threw together, test.txt:

Professional :: Embed HTML In Flash - When I Click ,opens The Correct Description Text File In The Second Text Box?

Apr 17, 2011

Is there any way I can embed HTML in flash? I know I can do this with text boxes but is there any other way I can do it? If not I know theres is the load feature where I can load text from a text file. With the html text box editing, Can i link that to the text file?. As in when you edit the text box with html could i have the textbox's instance name equal to the text file? With this my issue is with the <a href> in one textbox, I would like when i click those it open another text file in a different text box.

Clarification: I have two text boxes in my flash file.One has current products. And the other is the description of the product they select. I would like a way to edit and change the products in the first text box without having to keep using the FLA file. Which is why i am using this code

var myTextLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader(); myTextLoader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, onLoaded);
function onLoaded(e:Event):void {trace(e.target.data);}
myTextLoader.load(new URLRequest("myText.txt"));

The contents of myText.txt are <a href=(not sure what to put here)> Product 1 </a> But all that does is put it in the text output section in flash.It does not show it in flash. I need help getting it to show up in a text box.That is the first part But the main problem is im not sure how to code the a href correctly so that when i click it, another text file opens in the second text box.So that when a user clicks on a product ,like "Product 1" It opens the correct description text file in the second text box.
