whats up with the scrollpane.Ive got it loading my swf files into it but for sum reason u can press the buttons even if theyre not showing. see below see the button on the top left how it is darkened, this is the over state, but the mouse isnt actualy on the button, its above the scrollpane area, but its still being selected and is able to be clicked.
View 3 RepliesI am developping a player with Articulate Presenter and Flash. I would like to put thumbnails that are in a special folder in swf, into a scrollPane. The scrollPane itself is in a clip loaded when I click on the Thumbnails Tab.

Well, my problem is that the ScrollPane is not scrolling until the end of the thumbnails, so I don't know if all the thumbnails are loaded. And even worse, exactly one time on two, the Scroll Bar is not showing at all ... !is it a scrollPane pb ? I use it many times in other parts of my project without any problem ... or is it because there are too many thumbnails ? I have around 30 - 40 to load ..
I have a flash component that is an image gallery. I want to have multiple image galleries on my site, but instead of multiple instances of the component, I want to have multiple buttons that can be clicked that will load in different xml files to populate the component.
Would code like this do something like that:

In my main .swf I have labels on the timeline, navs for those btns are on the first frame of the AS layer and each button sends the playhead to a different frame. On one frame called fr1 there is an mc called mc_1 that appears on stage when the playhead stops there. Inside mc_1 are a set of navigation buttons that need to call external .swfs.
Do I add event listeners on the last frame of mc_1 for each button? how do I call the loaders for the swfs on the buttons since the swfs will load on the main timeline NOT the mc_1 timeline?
So label on main timeline called fr1 will load external1 swf , on fr10 external 2.swf will load and so on.

I spent almost a week trying to figure out how to unload a currently loaded swf using its button and loading a new swf... I have three files, a main.fla, file1.fla and file2.fla. In my main.fla, I have a code which loads the other two files. If i will click the "unload" button in the file1.swf, I would like the main.fla to unload the file1.swf and load the other file, file2.swf. Here is the code to load the file1.swf:

I have a scollpane loaded and I have buttons in the content( a map) thats loaded in the scrollpane. The buttons work fine until I try to turn on scrolldrag. So my question: Is there any way to use scrolldrag in a scrollpane when there are buttons in the content? Or are we stuck with the scroll bars? I saw one movie that was done in action script 1 using a scrollpane, with buttons and scrolldrag and the buttons worked.

I'm in desperate need of some help here. I've been working on a website for months and I'm so near the end, but I just need to rectify one problem (and judging by my google searches for the past two days, it seems to be quite a common problem). I'm pretty much a novice/beginner when it comes to actionscript and need some help to figure this out.I have a movie clip (called 'CLvertlist_mc') which is simply some text and buttons. This movie clip has been placed inside a scrollpane, which sits inside another movie clip ('Client list 2'). Also sitting inside 'Client list 2' is a third movie clip called 'clientlist_mc', which has a few different labelled frames in it.Now, I want to get the buttons in 'CLvertlist_mc' to link to the labelled frames in 'clientlist_mc'. At the moment I've put an actions layer in 'Client list 2' with the following actionscript:[code]'clb_cch' is the instance name of one of the buttons in 'CLvertlist_mc', and 'SM' is one of the frame labels in 'clientlist_mc'. I have a swf that is loading another swf into a ScrollPane. The swf being loaded is large...around 4mb. My problem is that sometimes it loads fine, sometimes it loads without the scrollbar, and sometimes you need to refresh the page before it loads fully and correctly. My question: How can I easily test that it has fully loaded and that the scroll bars are displaying? I've tried various scenarios with ProgressBars, etc., but even when 100% loaded, the scroll bars do not consistently load.
View 1 RepliesI am loading a menu consisting of a library of items, based on my XML file into a combo box. I have menu working correctly. When I click on an library item in the combo box, it's supposed to load the items into my scrollPane called "thumbs". Now what is happening is, the appropriate number of items are getting loaded to the scrollPane in the form of a movieClip called appropriately "thumbs_mc", but the actual swf doesn't get loaded. I can't seem to figure out whats going on.

holding shift and clicking allows you to drag the scroll panes into a different order. clicking one button in each of the scroll panes works fine. if you try clicking a second button in either of the scroll panes you will notice you have to click twice.

I have been working on a file for a while now and I am trying to load an external swf into a scrollpane. The external swf gets all its content from an xml file (there is nothing on the stage, it's all done through as3) My problem is that when I load the swf into the scrollpane I don't get the scroll bars and most of my content is cut off. I have tried setting the scroll policy to auto, and true, neither helped. Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong?

The site is structured with all content inside entireSite, with two further movie clips nested myMenu, which contains all the button movieclips (rollovers etc) and AS to navigate the site and another entitled allPages which contains all the content.
on entrance to the site i want a grid of images appears which is scrollable using scroll pane. I have managed to achieve this just on a standalone .fla following this tutorial with the code

now i have structired my site properly im having difficulty getting it to load correctly. I have the correct instance names for scrollpane and the linkage for the movie clip i want to load. im just wondering that now my scrollpane is nested in entireSite then allPages that the code will not recognise it?
How do i make it point to it? Also, as i move between different pages of the site more content will require a scrollPane, can i just use different instance names to do this?
Or should i go about removing the movieclip in scrollpane and adding a new one?
I will inlcude here to code i used and a zipped folder containing all the files of my mp3 player. What i would like to do, (i am not an actionscript expert and did this following a tutorial) is to include a download button for the track which is being listened, be able to insert the playlist 'track buttons' inside the scrollpane on the stage, and sort an annoying bug which makes the music form the player continue even when i leave the section of the site where its in, keeping the music in the background running and starting a new track ontop every time i renter the section where the player is placed.
