I need to create a sound select board. There are 6 buttons; 5 which contain music, and one which will silence the music. Each time you push each button, the previous music will stop. The first button's music will start automatically.

View 1 RepliesI have spent the last four hours trying to work this out, using a number of different tutorials and always running into roadblocks in one form or another.
I'm using Flash CS3 with Action Script 2.0 enabled.
Essentially, I want to be able to make individual buttons to play in one frame on the main timeline that turn on and off simple loops that I've made.
I have a video of a man dancing, and I want to give the user the ability to press nine buttons and activate each loop to play over the video.
- I need each loop to be able to layer - so, each button controls only it's own loop - giving the user the ability to compose the music that the dancer is moving to.
The way I though I would do this would be to make a single button for each loop, that when clicked played the loop, and then when clicked again muted that single loop, and then when clicked, played it again and so forth.
- I have the nine loops cut up and in the library, but I don't know how to program this.
Additionally, I would really prefer the loops to not be playing, and for the user to have the chance to build the piece of music around the dancer.
I checked the WWW and used search here but I keep ending up with dead ends or inactive sites.

I want a sound to play every time Code: Select all(explode) is triggered. I have had little success trying to attach audio when it happens, so i decided to make an empty 2 frame long movie clip, frame one has Code: Select allstop(); for obvious reasons, and frame 2 has no action but it has the sound "blast".

Is the code i'm using, i am getting no error reports but no sound is being played. What am i doing wrong? (the audio i want to play is named blast and has an export name of blast, the movie clip is named blastmc and has an export name of blastmc)
flash media server ,provide property Microphone.names that retrieves an array of strings reflecting the names of all available sound capture devices. is there is any property that detect output device attached to system so i can select which one to play back sound. for example:- i need to play back mp3 file in flash. but i have more one output device installed in my pc. the question is:- is there is any way for falsh to list all (or detects) audio output device installed in my pc then let me pick one of them to play back sound by selected output device?

It's possible to play a sound file through AS, either by loading it from a folder or import it to flash. It's also possible to play a dynamic tone with flash.media.Sound + writeFloat.
But... is it possible to play a sound file with flash.media.Sound + writeFloat in some way? I want to play a sound file without having to deal with any files except the .swf!
I don't really know that much about Commands in Flash, but I was thinking this could be a possible Command to create.See, I have this puppet made up of dozens of separate pieces, all on their own layers.It's very tedious to click on 10 different symbols in order to move the character's arm, for example.I was wondering if there was a way to create a JSFL command to select each of the 10 symbols on the stage.
I tried clicking each one, and saving the "Change Selection" actions from the History Panel as a Command, but that is location-based.As soon as I move those symbols to a new location, the command I saved no longer selects them.And I can't select the objects by layer or frame, because it doesn't seem to want to save those either.
I was just wondering that is there a way to create a multiple file select like Facebook (using flash, I think.) and with a progress bar that show every photos progress in one progress bar. Have a clue or a script which can be customized and can be used easily?

I have a project that needs to take dynamic text and arc it. Similar to this: http:[url]...In this example, select a font then click create text item.At this point you can slide the meter to change the arc of the text. This is exactly what I need to do.My understanding of what needs to be done is I need to first break the letters of the text field into separate text fields, loop thru them then position and rotate each char to the desired arc. The problem is my trigonometry really bites. I have tried many tutorials and I have gotten similar results, mainly arcing text into a complete circle at different radiuses. But all I need to do is whats in the example, which is allowing the user to gradually arch the text.
