Sep 21, 2011I got a Windows Flash Projector (.exe) that I need to autorun from a USB drive. I just want the user to be able to plug in the USB drive to their machine and have it start running without any menus. I've been using the following with no luck:

The project is composed of a number of .swf files that load into the "KSF_USB_main.swf" file. There are also PDF and FLV links within some of the movies. I have the "autorun.inf" file and all other files (including the .exe Projector file) on the USB drive. When I plug it in to a PC it brings up the "What Do You Want To Do?" window and doesn't autorun.

I need to autorun these when the CD is inserted.If it were a single .exe and if i wanted to load it in windows machine it would be a piece of cake.But I have 2 files, and I wanna load it from a single CD. If the system is Windows I want it to load the .exe, and if the user system is Mac i want it to load a .app. How do I program the .inf file now?

Feb 15, 2011I have been given the task of creating an Autorun installer for a distributable CD, and thought I would challenge the task with Flash. In previous versions of flash it was possible to use fscommand and trickery to run other local exe files, but due to virus creators and what-not, this has been reworked and totally destroyed for others to use. So as a Flash developer I have hit a bit of a brick wall with this, and am asking out for any alternative ideas anybody may have?
Just as a heads up for what features are required: GUI with simple graphics/buttons Ability to launch external exe/pdf files must be able to be compiled to an exe, which can be launched by any windows machine without installing third party software eg Java. The only simple solution I have thought of is making an html page, but using a browser is something I want to avoid doing!

Feb 21, 2011How does Adobe Flash launch auto-update message as soon as I logon on Windows? I thought Flash is only a browser plugin. I tried look for the program it runs, but can't find it in all the usual places: Start Up group in Start Menu, HKLM Run, HKCU Run, Services.
I know it is possible to disable this via Flash preferences. However, I need to remove it mechanically once and for all, because it seems like a security risk to me (as hackers would be able to exploit a Flash installation even if the browser has not been launched).

It isn't neither AIR nor web-embeded.I need to access to some Flash Player's options to create a default state. Aug 18, 2009I am a MAC with latest MAC OS. I used CS4.
1) I am trying to burn a hybrid CD (MAC/PC) that will autorun and have workable shared objects on each platform from a projector file. I chose projectors because the browser version will not let my links work from the cd. It sends them to the ADOBE site with a security message where the CD path can NOT be set as a vaild path to allow users to use links. I would consider the Browser versions if I knew a workaround to this problem.
2) The projectors will not run the:
fscommand("allowscale","false"); set on the maintimeline -
so that presents a world of problems for me as many (hundreds) of screens were created with animations starting off screen. Someone said the Adobe players 9 and 10 have messed this up... anyone know the answer here. I can not ask the thousands of potential users to remove there version 9 and go get version 8 and reinstall it.

May 5, 2010how to put together a bullet proof Autorun that will work on any Windows system. I've been playing around with "[autorun] OPEN=OpenMe.exe" and with "Bin" folders and "Shell" scripts for days. Why doesn't anything work? All I want to do it to open "START.exe". If I double-click on START.exe in the list of disc files - it works completely. How do I get Windows to do the double clicking for me?Do I have to re-write or re-structure my project? (I don't believe I should.)Does it matter what burning software I use? (I don't believe it does.)Is DVD different from CD as far as autorun is concerned? (I don't believe it does. As long as the player exists on the system.)

Jul 31, 2010I am new to flash and trying to make a simple flash website video intro in Flash CS5 Pro.I have a flv viedo on the stage, under an image with a trasnparent center.I have the video on the bottom layer, the overlay image on the middle layer, and the top layer is my AS layer (AS3).
The video is currently autoplaying when i export.All i want is for it to open my website in the same window as the intro played when the video ends.I dont need a "skip intro button" or anything.I just want it to play the intro when you go to my site, and then bring up the index page of my site after it plays.

Mar 31, 2009I wanted to create a simple flash contact form for my flash website. I went through Lee's tutorial on how to create the contact form and PHP file to go with it. I've uploaded everything to my server and tested the form. My flash form consists of Name, Subject, Message, and Email fields. When I receive the email all that comes through is this with none of the actual message that was written IN the contact form:
Name: Subject: Message: Email: The 'From' field is also blank. I don't know if my problem is with flash, my PHP code, or with my server. Can someone take a look at this and tell me what's wrong? I can't seem to find any errors from Lee's tutorial with my code or labeling.

Feb 26, 2010I'm setting up a website and im using flash as a menu, but my problem is when I click on a button to go to a new page it redownloads the flash files, not just the menu but also my flash banner.
This only happens the very 1st time i click on the menu but its still very annoying having to wait for it to redownload again when it should already be there saved.
The problem does not happen if I use the html links on the page just the geturl links from flash.

I wondered if anyone knew a workaround or trick that I could use to get text into google. I have a couple ideas but they're just ideas.
I would like to create an alternate page that is not flash, but a regular html page with all of the text I want google to read inside it. Somehow I use code to tell it that when a user clicks on the link, to redirect them to the flash webpage, but when a search engine sees it, to send the search engine/google to that regular html page, where it will gather all of the text and then that text will show up on google's page when you do a search and my site on google? Even if this was possible, would google frown upon this and ban me or something?
The other idea I have is to use invisible text at the bottom of my page. This will be regular html text that is the same color as my background. But I heard this can get you banned from search engines like google if you are using lots of keywords, but I wouldn't be using keywords. I'd be using the few sentences of content that their stupid crappy technology doesn't read, forcing me to bust my hump trying to find a workaround for. It sucks that google doesn't even use keywords in my metadata for rankings either. So I can't even use that with them.

Oct 27, 2009I am using flash website template and editing with Flash CS4 and Dreamweaver. There are subwindows that open when clicking on menu buttons that have dynamic text elements. I am trying to change the text in these windows.I changed the names of the menu items that open these windows but the dynamic text is still displaying the old menu names as well as a numbering system(I.E. Services #1, Services#2, etc..) . I've looked through the content.xml, index.html, and of course the main.fla, How do I change the text displayed in these dynamic text elements?

Flash :: Create A Flash Animation And Embed It Into Website?
Aug 5, 2009 i'm wanting to create a flash animation and embed it into my website.i used to do this with a gif image within a DIV and make the position of the DIV vary via javascript so that the image moved across the screen. i'm looking now for a more professional touch via Flash.
A gif's background is transparent so as it moves over differen't areas of the webpage it shows not the bounding rectangle but
only the character image itself. Is this possible via flash - or will flash always be a boxed image that is moved?

Apr 15, 2011what im trying to do is make an interactive webssite 100% out of flash.on one of the pages in that website i would like to have one of my custom youtube players that youtube lets you make and gives you an embed code for.problem is that it is an HTML embed code.ive tried everything to get this to work and the best i could do was get the player to work in an independant .swf file but whenever i try to incorporate it into a page in my website and load it in a browser i get a security error saying that i cant let flash access youtube and i have tried everyway on google to get around that with no luck.
