ActionScript 2.0 :: Flash - Replay / Reload And Play The Same External Movie The Whole Time?

On the new site we are working on, it has Flash and HTML. The problem is when you click on the navigation buttons(which are flash) they should load a new external movie and open the new HTML page at the top. When you publish the file and click on the buttons, the HTML page loads, but flash seems to reload and play the same external movie the whole time. Here is the code I used:

I've been reading a lot of threads lately because I'm working on a school project. But can't really find a solution to my current "problem"I'll try to explain this as clear as possible, as it is kinda complicated and English isn't my main language.I'm making a game for a school assignment, and I have 2 MovieClips. 1 = walkCycle and 2 = jumpCycle.I gave both of these MovieClips classes so I could use the addChild function.Everything works fine, the walk animation works, the jump animation works, but here comes my problem.I have an ENTER_FRAME check on the jumpCycle to discover whether it's finished playing or not because if it is (thats what the check is for) the jumpCycle needs to be removed again and the walkCycle added again.
And the problem is, the jumpCycle only works once...After this if I press the shift key again (the jump key), the walkCycle just disappears the amount of time the jumpCycle should play and then the walkCycle comes back again, but there's no jumpCycle animation.y guess is, because I checked if it's finished or not, it needs to be reloaded to be able to use it again or something?

I used a preloader to play an external movie that loops. Both files are uploaded to a site. When I open the preloader in my browser the first time, everything works fine. The preloader loads correctly and plays the external movie automatically, which continues to loop correctly. So no problems so far.
Now, here's where problems begins:
If I refresh the browser or close it, and try to view the preloader/external movie again, nothing gets shown. I can manually play the external movie by right-clicking and selecting Play from the menu.
The only other way I can view the preloader/external movie again is if I delete the preloader from the cache and refresh/restart the browser.
My external movie does not have a stop in the first frame and it is uneditable so I can't add that in. However, the preloader should start playing the external movie when it is in the cache.

I've searched the internet for hours looking for a solution. Seems like a few people have posted the same problems I am having but no solutions.
I have a flash project that contains a preloader. The project can be seen in this header[url]...
The flash animation plays fine when first loaded. However, when IE is RELOADED or REFRESHED, the animation gets stuck on the first frame I believe. The bizarre thing is that is works perfectly in FireFox after reloads.
I have tried multiple different embedding solutions and nothing fixes it. I suspect it could be the action script on the preloader. It is a one-frame preloader, and then the animation begins.[code]...

Is it possible (in AS2 or AS3) to have a button that starts a video as well as an MC at the same time? The idea being that the video will play alongside a movieclip that contains animated quotes from the dialog of the video, so syncing would be critical to.

I would like to ask a newbie help, How could I reset a movie when it already ended. I am aware it needs to know when the movie finish ,and if it finishes then load the movie again. I know this is very simple but I need help on this .

I have a couple of movies to add controls to and the consist of a series of layers with classic tweened movie clips. There is a button layer set up along with all the buttons, and an AS3 layer set up. This is the initial code I set up on the AS3 layer first frame:

innercircle is a movie clip which runs throughout the entire movie, so that's why I picked it to use in the command above. When tested this should enable the play button to work, however it's not working and brings up this error:
1061: Call to a possibly undefined method AddEventListener through a reference with static type flash.display:SimpleButton.

I have an aspx page with a flash movie (gallery) that calls another aspx page which gets the info form a database and returns XML that the movie uses to populate the gallery with. Currently I have it use a query string that is passed through the flashvars so it will get the right info on post back. Is there a way I can reload the movie and pass the variable into flash without a postback? For instance the page doesn't reload, just the flash with the correct set of images.This is the JS used for the movie:

I believe this can be done using share objects but, have search and search and i cant find a concrete or simple answer to follow.
I have use this and does not look good when viewing image on laptop (768 as height)
What i am looking to do is create 5 pages with the same flash header. Links will be below the movie. When people click on the links a new page opens (same window) without reloading the flash file.

I have a movie clip loaded using action script 3 at the start of my animation, I want ito to end at the 120th frame. But I can't use the stop(); command because it will also stop the rest of my animations from the 121st frame onwards. how can I stop the movie clip without stopping the rest of my animations?

So what time trying to do is play a specific frame in the movieclip based on the time of day:

I have a gallery of sorts and some images have a button that loads an external swf in a 3d tilting window. The problem that Im experiencing is that one of the external swfs does not replay upon pressing the button again--It loads but does not play--it was written in as2 and has some _global variables set. I was thinking that if I unloaded the the loader content and removed the loader from the display list that when it reloaded it would play again but it doesnt--This is the code Im using to unload and remove the child:

My "train of albums" loads but won't play until I reload the page. I want to keep the bitmaps in memory if the user comes back to the page. bitmaps are 100k jpg's.
The Action Script 3 asks "if the albums are already in memory" start the "animation" if not, start loading.

I have a project where an external video plays with cue points that trigger the elements on my main timeline (captions). I have a custom mute button for the video so that the guy talking on the video can be muted if necessary (did not use a skin for video controls but set it up as a button). The problem is, when I reach the end of the video and I click a "replay" button to restart at the beginning, the timeline and video start but if the video was muted previously, the video remains muted while my button shows that it isn't. How do I get the audio to turn back on automatically when restarted, or at a minimum show that it's still muted when replaying? My replay button AS2. mcPlayer is my flv.

I've created a repaly button to replay an imported swf file (instance name=dpCuspSub_mc) located in frame 1 of a movie clip. It works, but then it starts looping and I want it to replay only once.
