I need the movie to play just once (the top header) per user session and then other pages not to restart the same movie from the beginning...At the same time protection against hotlinking should remain. Is it possible to make this without storing the swf file on the user's machine?[code].,,.
I have a movie clip loaded using action script 3 at the start of my animation, I want ito to end at the 120th frame. But I can't use the stop(); command because it will also stop the rest of my animations from the 121st frame onwards. how can I stop the movie clip without stopping the rest of my animations?
I have a mc inside a frame on the main time line. a button on the main time line. i want to play the movie each time the button is clicked. another situation is i hv loaded a movie using loadMovie command. i want to play it again. currently i m using unloadMovie & loadMovie in succession. is there any other way of doing it...
I used a preloader to play an external movie that loops. Both files are uploaded to a site. When I open the preloader in my browser the first time, everything works fine. The preloader loads correctly and plays the external movie automatically, which continues to loop correctly. So no problems so far.
Now, here's where problems begins:
If I refresh the browser or close it, and try to view the preloader/external movie again, nothing gets shown. I can manually play the external movie by right-clicking and selecting Play from the menu.
The only other way I can view the preloader/external movie again is if I delete the preloader from the cache and refresh/restart the browser.
My external movie does not have a stop in the first frame and it is uneditable so I can't add that in. However, the preloader should start playing the external movie when it is in the cache.
Here is the script in the preloader:
Frame 1:
Code: mcLoader = new MovieClipLoader (); loadListener = new Object (); mcLoader.addListener(loadListener);
Is it possible (in AS2 or AS3) to have a button that starts a video as well as an MC at the same time? The idea being that the video will play alongside a movieclip that contains animated quotes from the dialog of the video, so syncing would be critical to.
On the new site we are working on, it has Flash and HTML. The problem is when you click on the navigation buttons(which are flash) they should load a new external movie and open the new HTML page at the top. When you publish the file and click on the buttons, the HTML page loads, but flash seems to reload and play the same external movie the whole time. Here is the code I used:
Does anyone knows how something similar can be done: [URL] surface I mean the video clips, which zoom when you mouse over them, then when you click they will go forward, blurring the background. Then on close, everything will go back t the home screen. And all the time the movies inside will play.
I am using Flash CS4. To illustrate, I created a new flash file and added a short tick sound to the library. I set the properties of the sound to export to Actionscript and named the class "overSound". I added a Movieclip object to the stage to represent a button and gave it an instance name of "overButton". On frame 1 of the main timeline I added the following code:
I'm testing Live streaming with FMSS. The stream is pushed to FMSS buy Adobe FMLE software. Streaming works fine until I reach 1300-1400 simultaneous connections. No matter what the encoding ratebit is (150kbps or 2000kbps) the stream is no longer play from time to time (5-8 seconds).
The CPU (2xIntel Quad) is loaded less than 20% and memory used is about 2 GB (there is plenty of memory installed 32G). The OS is RedHat 5.3 64bit platform. Network uplink maximum rate is 4Gbps.I disabled the Queue but the problem still persist.
I have a fairly complex animation movie clip within my main timeline in a Flash file. When you click a button, it plays the movie clip, then goes back out to the main timeline. The first time the movie clip runs, it plays choppy and slow, but if I play it two or more times, it plays correctly (smoothly). Is there some actionscript I need to preload the movie clip, or some other solution to the first-run slowness?
I want a movie clip (let's call it homecontent_MC) with 100 frames play to frame 80 and stop. Then when someone clicks a button on the navigation bar (home, about, services, contact, etc...) homecontent_MC would then begin playing from it's position (frame 80) til it reaches 100, at which point it wouldn't be on screen, and the movie clip that corresponds to the navigation button press (say services_MC...) would start from frame 1 and continue til it stops at it's frame 80...
I have five different scenes all including three different buttons. When I test the buttons in "play scene" - all buttons sounds correctly in all scenes. But when I play movie, there is sound only with one button (the same button in every scene). I have looked for differences, but this button seem to have all the same parameters as the others.
I am creating a site, and it has a animation that it has to play before loading the next section. What I cant figure out is what function I need to create so that when a user clicks on the vision button it will play the frame after stop(); which will close that section, then have it load the frame for the section that the person clicked on. The only way I can think of doing this is creating 3 different close animations for the three sections. But I figure there has to be a way to have it play the one close animation and then goto the frame which is the portfolio section or vision section (depending on the button clicked).

Setting up a time limit that if the time equals to 3 minutes the game stop.I have a card game with 10 different cards to be paired. My problem is to put a timer that limit the player to only 3 minutes of playing after which a movie clip that says "Time is up!" will be displayed.
I would like to play two videos (progressive), on top of each other. Nothing serious. But the second video contains multiple counters that has to play synchrone (with other words:simultaneously) with the first video. The second video (which is much smaller than the first) will preload much quicker and thereby starts playing earlier than the other video. Is there a way to start the video's at the same time and play them in progressive mode? (embedding is not an option because of the large filesize)
This thread i speak of is about how to play certain .swf's or MC's during the morning/afternoon/night.
I know for a fact i've seen this thread here before, but i just can't find it. Or if anyone wants to let me know how to accomplish this without the previous thread, that would be great also.
if sound is playing - dont play sound, else, play sound?
so that the sound effect only plays one at a time. So if holding down SPACEBAR for example, the sound will play and only after the sound finishes, can it loop if SPACEBAR is still pressed.
I have two animated SWFs on the same web page and I am trying to get them to play at the same time when only clicking on one of them. How do I make this happen?
How can I stop one SWF file playing when playing another in a HTML page?
I currently have a carousel that displays multiple SWF files and I don't want any overlapping of video or audio. I've been looking into LocalConnection and JavaScript options but with no luck. My SWF files are currently ActionScript 3 and Flash Player 10. I have a large play button on them, with the ActionScript code:
I'm having a problem with sounds in AS3. I'm using the following code.
ActionScript Code: sound = new Sound(new URLRequest("mytrack.mp3")); channel = sound.play();
If i want to skip to a certain location in the track, say 1/2 way through, i then use
ActionScript Code: channel.stop(); //stops old sound from continuing sound = new Sound(new URLRequest("mytrack.mp3")); channel = sound.play(location); // location = time in ms to start from
I've noticed by using loading bars, that in most browsers, if the song has not fully downloaded, it restarts downloading from 0 and then when completely done, plays at the desired point. If the song HAS downloaded, it quickly loads (as if downloading from 0 to complete in about 1/2 second) and then plays from the desired point.
My question: Is there a better way to seek to a position in a song, that would stop this strange behavior?
i have a about 20 frame animation but what I want to do is to find out is there a way to set a time to play a certain frames i.e when movie starts it plays only 10 frames and then stops for a minute then after 1 minute it continues from frame 10 to frame 20 and then again stops for one minute and it starts over again
I have this script that plays a sound from the library randomly - it works and plays one of the three/four sounds each time it is clicked - but how can i make it play a different sound on each and never repeat - does that make sense?
so, on the first click it plays either 1, 2 or 3, chooses 2 so next click it will choose either 1 or 3, chooses 3, and next click it plays 1 and so on.
play a number of FLV files at the same time on one SWF? Basically I have a brief to create a video banner with a number of FLVs of people playing at the same time but starting at different points in the videos. My concerns are with loading times, memory consumption and the starting of each FLV at a different point and looping it.
