ActionScript 2.0 :: Load CSS To ANY Textfield In ALL Levels

I'm loading some CSS for my dynamic text textfields, but I have lots of MC's containing many other MC's which contain many textfields.[code]but the main nuisance is the fact I need to apply this piece of code for every MC in the movie and every MC within an MC... and every textfield.Isn't there a way to apply this CSS just once, to ANY textfield in ALL levels of the project? (Just like when you load an external txt file with LoadVars)
I have a swf with a movieClip with a button in it with the following code:

Now the shoppingchart.swf has a movieClip with the instancename "shopLine_mc" in this movieClip there is a dynamic textfield with the var called product. Now I'd say that if I press the button the shoppingchart.swf should load on level2 and show the text "single toothpick" in the textfield right? It doesnt... it does load the shoppingchart.swf but the dynamic textfield doesnt change.
as you can see it loads an new swf on top of my main. I did not relaize that because of a dropdown menu in the main.swf evrytime I load another swf on top ie obscures the dropdown. besides putting the dropdown in each swf and removing it from the main which would be the obvious, I wanted to avoid this as the loded swfs will have slideshow pro videos which will be a bit heavy.
It looks like this might be a bug, but Im not sure. When you load two or more MediaDispay/Player-components into different levels (using loadMovieNum()) in a project, the project will crash/freeze.
Its enough just having one of these components in the library (ie. not on the stage) in two or more .swf's that gets loaded into the project, for it all to freeze up.
im using a load targetscript to load external swfs into the main timeline of my movie, however im keeping much of the other layers/mc's loaded, and the external swf is loading over them, the level the blank movie clip is created in doesnt seem to be working propperlly?? whats going wrong?
This may sound easy but I just can't figure it out. I want to load all the xml i have into 1 texfield. but still be able to adjust color to certain nodes loaded from the xml in the text field. I know this can be done by css.
but i just can't get it to work properly:

I want to load a MovieClip inside a TextField inline with the text.
The TextField documentation says "HTML text that you assign to a text field can contain embedded media (movie clips, SWF files, GIF files, PNG files, and JPEG files)."
How can this be done with MovieClips? There must be a listener we can override.
how i can load a piece of text from a Url into a dynamic textfield? Im working with AS 2.0 in flash CS3. My goal is to load a name into a dynamic textfield which can be changed in the browser. if you change the name in de navigation bar of your browser the name in the flashmovie also changes.
I have pre-formatted HTML in a textfile. Let me know if any of this might already be an error-source- I am currently too tired to try out alternatives: The textfile looks something like this:

It's saved as a ".txt"-file... I didn't think that would really make a difference? What I want to do is load the file and dump it directly to an HTML-enabled textfield, using something like

If I use "LoadVars" as a handler to load the file, it gives me the raw data, something like "%3Cp%3E%3Cimg%20src=%27biathlon%27%20vspace%3D%27 2%27..." (you get the idea)... If I use an XML handler, it only gives me the first entry when I use "this" to send the file's content to the htmlText-field... probably because each entry in the file is enclosed by "<p>"-tags and the XML-handler considers the file to be over once the first closing "</p>" occurs?
What would need to be added to the file to make it load it all? Or what would I need to change about the function to make sure it sends the whole content of the file? When I use "trace" on the "this" that is loaded, it actually *does* give back only what it also sends to the textfield, even though the text-file contains several rows of that stuff.
I just did the "Photo Gallery using XML and Flash tutorial" and it works perfect!! Good tutorial!! I'm struggling with one thing though. Instead of loading the comment text from within XML, I want to load a .txt file into a dynamic textfield in Flash with XML. The code in XML I changed to <caption>folder/pic01.txt</caption>. The code in Flash is now:desc_txt.text = description[p]; I'm think that's the other code that needs to change

I am using a mehot to drag data from a database (via php) and then insert it into the dynamic text field. This works fine locally, however when I put it onto mysite, none of the text loads.

I can't get my text to show in a text field created at runtime within a movieclip on _root. I use a trace statement and it loads into the Output box but is not visible in the textField area. there are no masks in the movieClip.

I need to load some swfs inside a movieclip with preloader.So on the stage I have some movieclips (linked to "product1" class) which will act as buttons to load particular swf, a holder mc and a dynamic textfield(named-"percent") for preloading stuff.My problem is how to reffer "percent" text field from the "product1" class? my code is like this.
I'm planning navigation for my new site (see screen grab of proposed navigation corner). I want the words to swap levels and appear in front of others on roll over.
OK, just found this tutorial [URL] but I put the buttons into the MCs.
*BUT* - I want them to return to their original positions on RollOut - is this possible. I tried duplicating the code but substituting rollover to rollout and set the parameter to 0 or 1 or 2 to make them go back to a level I want them at.
I am having trouble with unload an loading movies. Basically I am loading a movie into a container, which works a charm:

I want to unload them both when a close button is pressed on the third loaded swf? Also, ideally I would like to add that second movie clip into a container, so I can position it correctly, but when I try copying the code I use on the first, it doesn't seem to work...is it to do with the "root" bit perhaps?
On frame 30 of my root timeline, I have dragged five different instances from my library onto the stage. I gave each one a distinct name, oneBtn, twoBtn, threeBtn, fourBtn, fiveBtn. I added a MouseEvent for each of these five objects, and ran a Trace to make sure I am able to identify the objects. At first, I used e.target.name but it returned instanceXX (instance23, instance84, instance83...). I think this happened because within each of those buttons, I had a movie clip within it so I can apply filters to them. I decided to trace e.target.parent.name. On two of the five objects, I was able to trace oneBtn, and twoBtn. On the other three, I still got instanceXX. I tried tracing e.target.parent.parent.name and I was able to trace the other three buttons, threeBtn, fourBtn, fiveBtn.
how come I need to target two different levels (e.target.parent.name & e.target.parent.parent.name) on my objects when I dragged them from the library and placed them onto the stage within the same timeline?
im using flash cs5, as2.i have a main index fla that loads into it 5 swf's.i need these 5 to be loaded into a lower level than the main index fla (index has to be the highest level)[code]

I have a flash project with three non overlapping panels (visual spaces) each of which contains different movie-clips. Each movie-clip in a particular panel is the child of that panel.Now, I want to drag one of the movie-clips from one panel to another (remove it as a child from the first panel and add it to the other) without a jitter and proper drag.What is the appropriate way to handle the drag architecturally

but is there anyway to fade the levels of a movieclip.
basically i keep loading jpgs, into a level of a movieclip. now i want to create a fade between one to the other. figure easiest way would be to have the jpgs load onto next level with alpha 0.. then once loaded alpha to 100 and unload the bottom jpg from previous level.
The problem I'm having is loading my info boxes. Basically, I want the the info boxes to stay on the middle of the main stage and also make the scroll mc non selectable (so that other mc's cannot be selected). I've been trying for ages to get this working but can't seem to make the buttons play the relative info box movie clips.Currently, the info box mc's are in the same movie clip as the mask & scroll mc. However, the buttons I want to activate the info box mc's are in the scroll mc. If I put the info boxes in the same mc as the buttons then it works fine but doesn't keep the info box moie clip in the middle of the stage as you can still scoll/select other itms in the mc.
