View 14 RepliesI'm experiencing an annoying issue with a movie clip button. The movie clip is linked to a class which adds a rollover and rollout effect. The issue I'm having is that, even though the button is in frame 1, the button doesn't react to the mouse for some seconds into the movie. The only thing I can think is that it's the class itself, but I'm not certain. Here's the class:-

i was trying to make a movie clip visible (it starts invisible), than invisible again. It gets visible, but i could't make it turn invisible again! Same thing happened with buttonMode propertie. I applied both only for movieClips and buttons, have no idea what is happening.
View 4 RepliesI've been trying to figure out how to use Keyboard events, so I tried out an example I saw online, but I ran into a problem. It's supposed to tell me whenever a key is pressed, and it works for keys such as ctrl and shift, but not for letter keys. For example,when testing in Flash ("test movie"), if I press "v", the Flash player doesn't react, but the Flash editor switches to the selection tool (keyboard shortcut "v"). How do I fix this? I have used a pop up window code several times before and now it doesn't seem to work. I've tried in several different movies now and when pressing the button it simply flashed the page and moves a little, but won't actually pop up to the page it's pointed to.Here's the code:

I have a flash menu and two scenes. The first one is preloader with this code:

The second scene is for menu.The problem is, when this menu is loaded i can push buttons several times, then it doesn't react at all, but when i reload the page, it works again..

Let say A is the main movie and B will be a external swf file that i'm going to load into A movie. The problems is that, some actionscript(AS) in my B movie is not working anymore after i load it into A movie. I believe that the AS in my B movie is not working anymore because it is refer to A as the _root instead of B movie as _root. This can be a common problem. So, i wonder what should i change in the B movie AS in order to make it work in A movie.
View 3 RepliesI'm using a WebView to display a web page which contains some Flash content which basically works pretty well.
The big problem is, that the Flash content seems not to consider the WebView's boundings: The Flash content is displayed even if the WebView is too small to show the complete page and the Flash content is not inside the WebView's boundings. Moreover this Flash content overlays other (native) layout elements that are displayed next to the WebView.To me, it seems, that the Flash content is rendered in (special) z-Layer, that overlays all other layout elements.
Tested with: Android 2.2 and Flash 10.1.Is this a known bug in Adobes Flash player 10.1?
My problem is that whenever I switch frames the music in my flash project restarts and overlaps and sounds incredibly crappy. Is there any way I can make it so that my music opens on my first frame and continues playing through all subsequent frames? Oh and by the way here is the code I'm using:

Only the onloadComplete or onLoadInit is triggerd, so preload animations are skiped. For example i made this website a while ago that worked fine with flash players up to verion 9.Now the preload percentage is not showing anywhere. I also tested other websites that i know off

Has there been an update this weekend thats broke masking I have tried to gradient mask an object both by using a vector mask and a png mask. NONE OF THEM WORK! Last week it woeked - and nooene else here at my job can get it to work either.Gradient masks are just shows by a square. No way of of getting smooth edges (gradients on a masked object anymore).

i have a bunch of movie clips and in order to make them rotate the way i want i have grouped them together, made the entire group into a movie clip and applied the motion tween. I'm trying to code it so that when i mouse over the movie clips WITHIN the group movie clip, something happens. How would i go about it? All i can work out is how to make the entire group react on mouse over, not the individual movie clips themselves.

I checked and unchecked Paused at Start in the publish settings, published and exported, but both times when I hover/click on the blank/unloaded movie the menu shows the Play option unchecked. My file has a preloader and the movie/content starts on frame 2. I have CS4/AS3.have the movie autopaly on it own. (I wish Adobe would have named the option Autoplay instead of Paused at Start,I wonder who came up with that).Here's my code:

I have a basic site for an old age home. Recently I decided to put a Flash Movie on the Homepage but even though all files are loaded and links correct it won't show in either IE or Firefox...
The movie should be loading here (...bellvilleseniorsentrum.com/engels/home.html)
There is a white space where the movie should be loading... But it doesn't...
I've done lots of sites with the same kind of movies and they all work fine... But this ons just doesn't work. It views fine when I test it on my computer but as soon as I load it - nothing...
I have a Flash movie to be displayed in fullscreen on a kiosk. Also, It needs to run in a browser window because I'm using JavaScript to reload the page for resetting the movie.
The problem is, it doesn't go fullscreen when I put the following line to the constructor:
stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN;
But it works fine if I put the line to a button's click handler.
Note: It doesn't work if just call the handler function with a null parameter.
How can I make it fullscreen as soon as it opens?
I've been having a problem with my percentage preloaders today... The script comes directly from this tutorial... and I've used the same script in at least 3 other Flash movies, but this time the Flash movie doesn't run properly, and i get this error:
