Im looking to for my flash video to start at a random keyframe everytime the video is loaded.I have about 20 layers with images transitioning into each other.Anyone have any actionscript that could generate such an effect?
I have a simple Flash movie with a series of still pics fading from one to the next.I want to use it in a web page masthead and I would like the movie to start on a random frame. Is there some simple AS3 code I could use in the first frame that directs the movie to immediately jump to a random starting point within the 220 frames contained in the movie?
I have a image slideshow set up on a time line. Each image is on a different layer and I am looking for a code to make the flash animation start at a random key frame every time the page is loaded. Here is a link to the site I am working on:
I have a problem with a project using the FLVPlayback component (the Flash CS4 version) and FMS 3.
Playing back a video works fine. When the video is finished, I hide the FLVPlayback component.
But if I have to play the same video again, the video does not immediately start from the beginning. I see a glitch with the frame the user last stopped on (whether it stopped at the end or wherever in the middle). It never re-starts from the beginning right away.
I have tried different approches to solving the issue:
- tried seekSeconds(0) - tried autoRewind = "true" - a combination of both - nulling out the stream source (result in a Runtime error) then setting it again
I am trying to create a code such that everytime a button is pressed a random number is generated between 0-14. With each of the 15 numbers (0-14) only being hit 10 times. I know how to create buttons and all that, its the random number thing thats stopping me.I created it using arrays in another programing language and tried to translate it to flash but I was unsuccessful. this is generally what i got
ActionScript Code: var events:Array = new Array(); var order:Array = new Array(); var used:Array = new Array();
I am developing an application for recording videos and previewing them as tilelist. Is there any way to capture a frame of the video to use as a thumbnail in my list? I'm using Flex 4.5.
ive created an animation sequence in flash but for some reason everytime i drag across frame 426 it hangs and i see the rainbow circle thing. the animation includes graphic symbols of charecters. im pretty sure it has to do with a certan symbol that has a lot of keyframes on motion tweens. is there anything i can do to clean it up?
Im building application where users can upload flv's with the fileReference. When a user press upload the flv is uploaded into a folder and the path stored into the database.
When the user clicks on an other page, he can see a list with all the uploaded movies. But I want to create custom control for the movie so the user can click one to play.
How can I add a 'poster'from the first or a random frame from the FLV?
( There is no option to create a png for each file because when the app is online user can pick there own FLVs to upload. )
randomly start an ordered list of SWF's.I have my main SWF calling up external SWF's. I have 2 groups of external SWF's From my main SWF Actionscript, I want to randomly play one SWF in Group A and continue cycling through Group A (in order) until it is finished. Then I want to randomly play one SWF from Group B and continue cycling through that list (in order) until the list is cycled through. Then repeat group A (random start, but staying in order), etc.
My current ActionScript works for Group A to randomly select and play in order, I need it to stop after it gets to the random starting point (so it doesn't repeat) and start up Group B (which isn't in there yet)
ActionScript Code: var logos:Array = new Array(); logos[0] = "logo1.swf";
[code]...
I need it to completely play through the Group A list before it goes onto Group B
we have this game where you control an avatar in the middle of the stage that defends itself from incoming projectiles. If it hits them with its arms or legs you get a +1, but if they hit the head or torso you get a -1. But cant figure out how to spawn them randomly along a given path. See picture below. Want them to come in from the sides but have the same "destination-area" - which would be the head & torso.
Is there any way to make a movie clip start at a frame other than 1? I know with graphics it's simple, but with MCs I'm not sure. If possible, I'd like to do it without code, but if that's the only way to do it, I'd like to know that way too.
I can't seem to get around my video and audio files starting when I arrive at the page. I'm even using some example code with start and stop buttons. This is in CS4 Flash. I expect it's because the ActionScript is in the wrong place because when I run the movie it flashes through all of the pages on the site without stopping at the home page. Is there some generic code that will allow me to simply swap out the name of the video or audio file I want to start. If there is, do I need to locate it on its own layer at the top of the timeline?
You don't have to understand anything the problem is into the intro. It is quite simple but I don't really know how to fix it. The problem is the movie in the first page start before it totally loaded so depending of your connection and your cpu in doesn't start at the begin.
I want to fix that.
Here's my structure.
I have a swf which load the "template" which load another swf which load the movie
I am make a resume cd for some photography of mine and used the photo gallery tutorial on this site. I have made some changes and am happy with how it works. Problem is, the images are loaded dynamically so it goes back to the cd everytime I hit "next." The code gives sets the path to pics, loads the image names into an array and then displays them with:
I created an AS file and used it as a class, inside it I called buttons and slideshow images. After that I decided to create an intro by moving the timeline. My problem is that all the objects are displayed from the very first frame, is there a way to make the entire class start after certain frame? Code for reference:
but how can i load an external swf into a movieclip, but i want that external swf would start on frame 10 (for example), instead on frame 1.
I have this external swf loading to movieclip1, and there's a button that makes the same external swf to load to movieclip2, but now i want it to load and start on frame 10...
I have a video that I don't want the beginning of, I know how to set the Cue Points but I am not very familiar with ActionScript 3.0 and would like to learn some code to start my video out at a cue point so I can put this video inside another flash video.
I'm making a platform game at the moment with each levelinside a frame. For the background music I was going to embed thesound sound file in the library and whenever the app moves to a newframe on the timeline new music will play. It needs to be on eachframe as each level of the application is a frame itself. So for example
Frame 2 = Level 1 Plays, BackgroundMusic runs Frame 3 = Level 2 Plays, Stop Music 1, and Play BackgroundMusic2
I am using levels for this project to allow transparency transitions between swf files as they load. I created two variables:levelvar=5;removevar=(levelvar - 2)The external swf files load into _level0.levelvar and removevar prevent the root file from unloading. All is well except on one button I want it to load the swf at a particular frame. I tried this:
Im having trouble stopping or starting loaded swf files. I need to dynamically load the swf file but make sure it doesnt play until the user requests it. The trouble is I wont know anything about the loading swf file (for example frame labels, if it has a 'stop' script in the first frame etc.) Ive attached a simplified version which I think illustrates the problem but the code is:
How can i stop an swf video file from starting when the page is opened in browser? Under the publish settings i click on (paused at start) . This doesn't seem to have any affect on whether the video starts when the page is opened.
Bonjour my friends, I have just gotten my hands on Adobe Flash CS4 and while I am rather please with my own ability to use the tools, as I've taken several vector art classes at my local community collage, I simply can't seem to get my head around the Actionscript part, while I completely understand it's purpose and capabilities, and have actually looked at several of the tutorials on this board, I still find myself with many questions.Chief among which would be...Is there a way to make an object move vertically a certain amount, each time you click a button, while preventing it from moving farther than a maximum number?- I looked for something like this in the tutorials, my aim simply being to create a sort of scrolling text box via masks and buttons, but all the tutorials were either far too complicated or required vast set up that would require me to take several steps back from my current location.
Also, is there a way to make the animation start on a frame other than frame one?- It was my understanding that one could simply put in a gotoAndPlay(#); code on frame one and that should cause it to go to and play from whatever frame you specify but that seems to be incorrect as it hasn't worked. Other questions I have include..Is there a method by which one could create a sort of slid show, within another scene? IE you're at scene X and you click a button, and a picture that is part of, but not all of, scene X changes to something else, while the rest remains the same.
I'm trying out Flash CS4, and am using it to create a slide presentation. as I feel stuck at the moment. Here's what I need: An intro slide to act as a "front cover", giving the user of the presentation a chance to load it up before initiating the following content. The next slide to contain a video, which starts playing as soon as the slide is loaded. Also on this slide, a few pieces of text need to appear at certain times as defined by me.
Here's what I have so far: A blank 'slide1', ready for my content. Presenter presses the right arrow and it proceeds onto slide 2. A 'slide2', which has my flv video clip placed on it with optional play controls. So I need to know how to start the flv player automatically when slide 2 is opened. I think I need to place some ActionScript on frame 1 of slide2, but I don't know what. If I set the video to 'autoPlay' in the component inspector, it starts as soon as the swf presentation is opened, which is not what I want - it should only auto play when it's own slide is navigated to.
I have been trying to do this locally on my machine by using the download simulator but the simulator doesnt seem to work especially when I give the player a 2GB file to load over a 14kbps connection, the file seems to load within a split second and absolutely no buffering occurs. My problem below needs to be answered before I can persue and purchase and set up a web server to run FMS as a production server, but understandably I do not want to do this until I know it is possible to do what I want to do.
Let say I have put a 60min video on the server which I want to stream. But I only want to stream the last 20mins of it. Am I able to set the player to stream from the last 20mins and for there to be no progressive download required before? I need the stream to start almost immediately from the start of the last 20mins and for it to continue plaing until the remainder of the video completes So essentially I only want to load a part of the movie into a stream and disgard the part of the movie I do not want to show.
I'm making a working scrubber on a video, but having problems. The scrub itself it starting out in the middle of the loadbar. I've looked everywhere, trying to find out what is wrong with it.
I have recently "inherited" several websites that feature 1 to 10 minute video animations in SWF formatOne of my challenges is to get these files to appear or play in a timely manner so that the viewer does not loss interest as it is loading. My questions will start with file size.reduce or minimize the size of published SWF files while still maintaining high quality video output? Second, how about this business of preloading.I don't really understand that term but my thinking is that if a large movie could be loading while another, shorter, movie is playing, or a graphic displaying, that this could be useful in my case. Lastly, how about streaming in general. Are there ways to optimally use a given download speed to efficiently stream SWF video?
if i click 'Play' Button video playing normally, after i click 'Pause' button video pause, next i click 'Play' Button video playing from starting point. what is the problem solution pls...... Code:
I have three buttons, which starts three separate videos...click on button starts video, that's ok, but then video is not over, if to click again,it's not starts video from beginning. I'm talking about one video. I must push on other button and then on that again to start it from beginning.
