ActionScript 2.0 :: Tag To Automatically Resize Image?

Jun 17, 2006

I know in php there is a tag to resize a image simply:
$width = 120;
$height = 80;
if ($width && ($size[0] < $size[1])) {
$width = ($height / $size[1]) * $size[0];
} else {
$height = ($width / $size[0]) * $size[1];
}
However, how to do this in FLASH?

Flex :: Have A Mx:Window Automatically Resize To Its Content?

Mar 17, 2010

I'm creating windows in a Flex application (AIR) using the mx:Window component. I'd like the window to be automatically sized to its content (because it will be dynamic), in the same way that an mx:Panel or mx:Box would be.I've customized components before, so I'm somewhat familiar with the UIComponent lifecycle, but I'm not quite sure how best to do the logic for auto-sizing a container.If it makes it easier, I'm not expecting that the window auto-size to its content at any time, thought that would be a bonus!

ActionScript 3.0 :: Resize Instance (or MC) To Fit Stage Automatically - Ssp Tng

Jun 11, 2011

I have searched for this but keep getting answers relating to the whole website resizing rather then a certain movieclip or instance etc. I am quite new to flash & action script but i get the idea & have built simple websites before. Publish HTML settings: scale "default(show all)" & have dimensions as a percent. Html & Flash. So everything looks great. I am using slideshow pro which is hidden behind what i want to be a fullscreen thumbnail grid as i couldn't figure out how to use thumbnail grid by itself. Im using it as a full-screen slide to show my photography.

I have one instance of thumbnail grid that i want to fill the browser window. When on a big monitor it doesn't expand to the sides. What code do i need so this instance can change to automatically resize fit the window/ browser/stage. (i can change it to a movieclip possibly if i need to?)

Flex :: 3 - Auto-sizing - Automatically Resize To Fit The Length Of The Content And Positioning

Jan 4, 2010

I am working on a flex app that uses XML templates to dynamically create DisplayObjects. These templates define different layouts that can be used for each page of content in the app (ie , 2 columns, 3 columns etc etc). The administrator can select from one of these and populate each area with their content.

The templates add one of 3 types of DisplayObject - HBox, VBox or a third component - LibraryContentContainer (an mxml component that is defined as part of the app) - which is effectively a canvas element with a TextArea inside. The problem that I am getting is that I need each of these areas to automatically resize to fit the length of the content but don't seem to be able to find an effective way to do so.

In the LibraryContentContainer, when the value of the TextArea is set, I am calling .validateNow() on the LibraryContentContainer. I then set the height property on both the TextArea and LibraryContentContainer to match the textHeight property of the TextArea. In the following example, this is the LibraryContentContainer, viewer is the TextArea and the value property of the TextArea is bound to this.__Value. v is the variable containing the content for the textarea

and i have to call this redrawborder function inside the MOUSE_MOVE listener that controls the resizing (so that i am constantly removing and redrawing the border). constantly removing and redrawing the frame seems very inefficient. is there some property or better why to do this? i want to have, displayobj.scaleChildren = false or something like that

IDE :: Can't See The Image When Myspace Loads It Automatically

Feb 3, 2009

For those that can't see the image when myspace loads it automatically has the typing indicator on the search bar so if one of my friends trys to use my cmd prompt he types something in it searches on mysace. The only way around this is to click in the grey area / off the search bar then click the input box to begin typing. I'm wondering if there is a way if you guys know the where my flash input box gets priority over the typing indicator blinky thing.

Assemble Animation / Sound And Background Image Automatically?

May 16, 2011

I need to learn how feasible it is to automatically assemble Flash animations which take a background image, an animation (or a set of vector drawings that can be turned into an animation) and a sound file from a set of files. In other words, assume that I have the following set of files:

3 background images (let's assume JPG)
3 animations (no sound, no static background)
100 sound files (let's assume MP3)

So if I want to code something like:
for i 1 to 3
for k 1 to 3
take animation i
take background image k
for j 1 to 100
take sound_file j
resulting_swf = assemble (animation[i], background[i], sound_file[j])
save(resulting_swf)

Which will produce 900 Flash animations with different combinations of sound and background, what is the starting point? Are there some libraries (in Python, Perl, PHP, etc.) with good documentation and examples to develop something like that, some program that I can run from the command line?

ActionScript 3.0 :: Load External Image Files From A Folder Automatically?

I can create an image slideshow but I have to put in each and every .jpg and such I would prefer not to do that as in the future there may be more then 5-10 images.

In addition I already have the app created that uploads files.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Put In A Background Image And A Table It Automatically Creates 2 Pages Instead Of Just Layering The Object

Feb 20, 2012

Has anybody messed with PurePDF. I'm trying to set up a SWC library for it and I've gotten stuck on the layering part. If you just put in a background image and a table it automatically creates 2 pages instead of just layering the object. They have a function for layering object but the only tutorial out there is showing how to layer rectangle graphics. Here's my code.

if(layerContent[i] == PdfContentByte)
{
trace('Is PdfContentByte');

XTC_cb.add( layerContent[i] );
}

if works up untill that point but it doesn't recognize a table or an embedded image as a PdfContentByte and that's all it will let you add to the layering list.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Resize Image Without Artifact?

Sep 12, 2010

I'm not a coder, but I recently had someone build me a Flash site ( I think using AS2). Part of the site includes scaling up a background image to the browser size, but I'm seeing terrible artifacts when this is done.

Take a look at the home page of this link to see what I mean[url]...

I was wondering if someone could tell me if it is at all possible to scale up an image like this in Flash WITHOUT the resulting artifacts?
