I am having an issue when loading a dynamic text. Here is the code I'm using
Ext_text = new LoadVars();

This does load the file but If there are any & or % in the .txt file it stops the text at that point.
Can I edit it if I buy the application?I would like to know how i can gain control of this file type.
View 1 RepliesI have uploaded an .swf file to my site but when I embed it into my site page it won't play all the way through, it just freezes about half way. But the same .swf file will play fine in Flash.. I am using a content management system called Teamsite.
This file is not especially large only 377KB, I have tried removing images to reduce the size down to 96KB and it will still freeze. The file is just rotating images and uses no fancy effects just a simple fade.
What I want is to play a swf file in my site. And when that swf animation file ends that is fully watched by the User, I want to call a PHP page.
View 1 Repliesso i'm now working on a mp3 player, and i got stucked with something. so here's my problem: i've a got bar (songBar) on which it will appear the artist and the song name(artist_txt). what i want is when de title_txt width is larger than the songBar.width, the text to scroll from right to left, and when the tween is finished to scroll from left to right(all this tween has to be a loop). if the width of artist_txt is smaller or equal to the songBar.width then artist_txt is aligned in the center of the songBar. all i'm trying to code it's just what you see in winamp player.

I simply have one FLVPlayback component in the background and a movieclip on the layer above with an FLVPlayback component inside it. The first FLV component is constantly looping a five-second video. So all I need is for the movieclip containing the second FLV component to load the right file, fade in, and when the video ends, fade out. Absolutely all of that works... apart from the fading in. What I noticed was that my movieclip was fading in correctly, but the FLVPlayback component was empty and transparent until the fade had finished - then it played the clip. Here's my code, which gets called at random intervals:

I've used Authowrware previously and it was quite easy to create a large string of data (a comma separated list) and export that to a text file (and create the text file if it didn't already exist). I could then easily append additional rows of data (records) to the text file. We want to build a questionnaire that will store the data locally on the computer in a text file. Each record may have a few hundred data points in a comma separated list.

View 16 Repliesi have an index page (html) that contains an swf and a hyperlink. the hyperlink is set to skip the intro swf and open the main html page. there is no problem there. what i have been trying to find is an event listener that waits till the swf is finished and then goes to the main.html. i found an example that does what i want, but instead of opening a url it uses trace and shows me a message.

Scenario: I've got a frog catching a fly with his tongue. Once the frog-tongue movie clip is over, I want to remove both the tongue, and the fly from the timeline. Both the tongue and the fly are MovieClip objects. The tongue animation starts based on a TimerEvent. I'd like to say something like: when the tongue MovieClip ends, call removeChild() on tongue and fly.[code]...
I have a mc with a button to start the animation. User will press the button, mc will play once. Now, how do I advance the main timeline once that mc ends? Right now everything is on frame 1 in the main timeline... frame 2 is where I want the menu etc to appear. I am using flash cs3 and as3.

if you go to the sound tab and then click to play a song you will see that the browser never stops loading the same files.
I have set my flash to full screen mode. It has a menu with several different flv movies. When I click on the flv it then goes full screen and I no longer see the custom buttons I created for it and at the end of the movie I have to hit the esc btn to get out of it. but when it is not on full screen i have it programmed to go back to the menu after the flv ends.

What I envisage happening is: Button clicked, loads swf into empty <div> and chosen flv plays, in the script (AS3) I possibly have a listener that detects when stream has ended and closes the swf (popup). The movie starts with an intro and when that ends a "continue" button should appear and take you to the next part. My idea was to place a screenshot of the last frame in the next keyframe with a stop() function after the intro and add the button to that but it would be less work to make the button appear the end of the movie using some code I have no idea about

I would like to find out if there is a way to fadeout the slide show at the same rate the images fade out, or if there is a way to make a slideshow with a transparent background.
