ActionScript 2.0 :: Check If An Animation Of A Movieclip Is Finished (no Tween Handler)?

Feb 4, 2007

I'm having some difficulties on checking when an animation in a movieclip is finished. It's not a tween, otherwise I could make a tween handler with the "onMotionFinished"-property. My situation is different.My movieclip has 60 frames with each frame containing a 3D image. These 60 frames make the impression that a die is rotated in 3D.How do I check in the actions of my scene (root) when the animation is finished?

I already tried making an interval that constantly polls if a variable "finished" is set to true (which the movieclip sets to true on its last frame).This solution isn't really accurate enough due to the interval number.Setting the interval to 1 millisecond won't do any good either.Is there a listener object or something else that makes this possible?On my last frame of the movieclip is a stop() statement which might be polled by a listener?

ActionScript 3.0 :: Using Tween Class With MouseOver

Feb 10, 2011

I have a movie clip (box) with a text box embedded in it. I want it to expand and move to the middle of the stage when the user places the mousepointer over top of it. When the mouse is moved off I want the movie clip to return to its original position. My code almost works. The MOUSE_OUT works and returns the movieclip to its original position but the MOUSE_OVER causes the movie clip to bounce to the center of the stage, return to the original position and then bounce back to the center of the stage before coming to rest at the center location. I just want it to go directly to the center of the stage.

Also, if I have 25 movieclips like this, is there anyway that I can capture the xy coordinates of the current movieclip that is being clicked on so that I can use the same code for each movieclip to expand and move it to the center of the stage and return them to their original . I am assuming that I would have to capture the name of the current movieclip being clicked on, in a variable and capture the initial x and y coordinates in two other variables. Can I then use these variables in the following Tween statements? Not sure how to code it so that the statement will read the contents of these variables and use them as paramenters in this routine.

square1.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER,tex ter);
function texter(e:MouseEvent):voidn
{
new Tween(square1, "x", Regular.easeIn, square1.x, stage.stageWidth/2, 1, true);

Play Animation On Mouseover?

Sep 22, 2009

I'm using Flash CS4 and I'm trying to create what I think is pretty simple. I have a tree that will have leaves. I want the individual leaves to fall on mouseover. When the animation is complete, I want the leaves to stay where they land and not reset back up on the tree. I know how to tween and animate the leaves, but everything else is really falling apart for me. I feel like this should be pretty simple. I've created the tree and leaves in illustrator and am importing the .ai file into flash and turning each of the leaves into a bitmap (as opposed to a movie file)

ActionScript 3.0 :: Tween Class With Button Mouseover / Mouseout

Apr 3, 2009

I've got the following movie online to look at:(disregard background, temporary image)URL...I have 3 icons (will be 4, the photos at the bottom of the movie).When hovering over a button, it should rise up around 50px, and on mouse out, it should drop back down to its original position.If you look at the movie, it does that, however, if you move around the images a bit you'll see that at some points it picks up 2 photos/buttons at a time (since they're overlapping a bit I imagine), but the BIG problem is that sometimes, when picking up both images, they do not return to their original position when mousing OUT as they should, they remain suspended as if they are stuck at the end of the onmouseover function and can't come back down.[code]

Professional :: Tween An Animation Inside An Animation Continuously?

Nov 4, 2010

On a horizontal bar, text scrolls from left to right, continuously. The text is a fixed string of city names, and I've made it so that it loops nicely. This horizontal bar with scrolling text is part of a vertical animation, scrolling the bar in and out of view. The vertical tween starts after two seconds. When the vertical tween starts, the horizontal animation has started as well. At the beginning and end of the vertical tween, the horizontal tween starts over. I want it to continu.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Pause Entire Animation On Mouseover?

Feb 27, 2009

I have a very very simple flash animation put together, and I believe I set the document up in actionscript 3.0.

There is 4 layers currently: 1: a background, 2: a border, 3: a transparent png, 4: several images that run through a classic tween to make a scrolling effect.

Besides the tween, there is nothing else running and the tween is just taking some images in a straight line.

Is there an easy way to have it so that when someone puts their mouse over the flash in any location that it pauses on that frame and when they remove their mouse it will continue from that location?

Can it be done with actionscript? If so then how I use flash for tweened animations and am not familiar with programming languages. So a code examlpe (or a link to one) would be very welcome

ActionScript 2.0 :: Control Movieclip Animation Within Another Movieclip Animation

Aug 23, 2011

I have an enemy movieclip.Inside that movieclip I have a motion tween so it moves around on the stage, then inside that movie clip I have an animation of his feet moving so it looks like he is walking as he moves across the stage. Also in that same animation of him walking is an image of him laying down and dying on frame 6.I just have the walking animation looping as the playhead gets to frame 5 so it won't show him dying.So what I want to know is how do I make it so when my hero shoots him with a bullet..the enemy goes to that dying image on frame 6 and stop.I can already make it so the bullet will kill an enemy if it is just movieclip>inside movieclip.But I don't know how to make the code communicate to make it work when its movieclip>inside movieclip>then inside that movieclip.

So, I have one of these clips as a private variable in the button's class definition, and the constructor passes the button's instance name to the label's constructor to set the text field.Unfortunately, the text will only show if I actually open up the label's clip in the library and type something in. Not very dynamic!

Is there anything I can do to fix this, or does anyone have any ideas why its happening?Also, I've tried the rollOver and rollOut instead but it has the same problem.[code]I'd imagine you're correct about the mouseover event not completing before mouseout is but how to I fix this?
