ActionScript 2.0 :: Unloads Frame One SWF And Loads A New SWF?
Jul 18, 2011
I am having an issue loading and unloading external SWF's. Here is what I'm trying to do:
Frame One Loads external SWF
Code: contentTutorial.loadMovie ("tutorial.swf",1);
Frame Two: Shows data Frame Three: Unloads frame one SWF and loads a new SWF. Code: contentTutorial.unloadMovie("tutorial.swf"); contentProblem3.loadMovie("problem3.swf",0);
This works but the problem I'm having is that when problem3.swf loads it will not play. You see the first frame but no animation.
If I switched SWF files and loaded problem3.swf in frame one and tutorial.swf in frame 3 the animation plays fine for problem3 but hangs for tutorial.
I've tried multiple methods (createEmptyMovieClip, loadMovieNum) of loading/unloading these with all the same outcome.
I have my main swf embedded into a html page, and what I want is that when a user selects a certain button it unloads my main swf and loads up a different one in the same HTML page.
1. The Main .swf loads a new .swf into a higher layer (level5)
2. That new .swf is a holder for a movie controls - which play through the quicktime and...
3. At the end of the movie there is code that Unloads the movieplayer .swf and forwards the Main .swf to a new frame marker.
I now need to change this to AS3.My loading code in the Main .swf for AS3 is this (and it seems to work fine):
Actionscript Code:
var MOVIEloader:Loader = new Loader();MOVIEloader.load(new URLRequest("ANIMATION_01.swf"));MOVIEloader.x = 0;MOVIEloader.y = 0;addChild(MOVIEloader)[code]...........
im working on a banner which have all data included from external text file and styled with css.the code of the banner you can see here:http:[url]....the issue it that my main timeline have 2 frames and the file loops. In this case all works fine , but the on every loop the actionscript loads all the Loaders and data again and again and this cause increasing memory usage (about 1 MB per 2/3 loops) .To fix this I've put a stop(); in the first frame , which fixed the memory leak issue, but now the CSS doesn't load at all - I don't know why. Also I've released that the CSS not loads if the clip have only one frame.
Code: //Load text from external file var myTextLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader(); myTextLoader.dataFormat=URLLoaderDataFormat.VARIABLES;[code].....
I using flash 8, actionscript 2.0.I am using this code on a BUTTON in order to load and external swf into an empty movie clip:
on(release){ _root.empty.loadMovie("test.swf"); }
It works fine, however I would like the button to first go to a NEW FRAME within the main timeline of the main movie, before it loads this external swf.
The preloader works to load the 'splash.swf', but that SWF is a 36 frame long movie, and when it loads from the preloader, it's already at Frame 36, so you never see what was before that frame. How can I get it to load at it's Frame 1?
How do you detect the end of the loaded swf that loads the flv? It never reaches the frame 20, and I think it is due to the loaded flv CamTest.flv file. So how do you find out that the loaded swf really reached the end? How do you find out the end of the loaded flv inside the loaded swf?
On mainline frame 1, I have loader_mc.loadMovie("CamTest_controller.swf"); On the loader_mc movie clip onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
ive done a little media player for my mates website.means i didnt understand the xml and loading audio that way i decided to try another way,which was to load external .swf which contained audio.so ive done this everything working.the problem is i tried to add a timer, so that when the 30 sec sample was done it would go to the next frame which loads a different track.i found a piece of timer code which is
i ask for patience I will summarize as briefly as possible Imagine an animated presentation, interactive and extensive, with multiple ways or different possibilities The method I'm using is to divide in several different SWFs, otherwise it would be ridiculously heavy.But there lies the problem: When I want to load another SWF, it ends up overwriting the original and will become increasingly slow and overloaded, because it will consume too much memory and frames per second decreasing each new SWF loaded ..I wonder if there is any method to unload the SWF itself by button and go to the next OuvirLer foneticamente
I have a set of buttons on a map that when clicked load in a zoomed version jpg file into an empty movie clip. When the loaded jpg / mc is clicked, I want the loaded movie to fade out as it unloads. The fade in is working fine, but I've tried several examples I've found online for the fade out and none of worked yet.
i've got a problem. i have an external text which loads and displays normally only when that frame is loaded for first time. i'm using getDate because it changes every day. it's peculiar because all of other texts which are external also,always load just fine (first time and every time when return to previously visited frame).
how to execute the code below from a javascript funtion when the body unloads this is a flash function but I would like it executed from a js function.
i have a problem using AS to send some variables to a PHP form.when i click on my button the entire movie unloads from the stage. let's take a look to the AS of the button:[code]
I'm relatively new to Flash and AS3. I've created a website thats a dynamic photo gallery. The site is self-contained (no scrolbars) and I want the frame work of the gallery to draw itself in as the page loads. The frame work is just simple lines and drawing objects on the maintimeline. Do i combine the lines (the "frame work") into a mc and then somehow use the deco tool? How can I acheive this in action script?
i found a script that unloads my external swf inside a movieclip when i click a button on my main screen. this script causes the external flash inside my moviclip to close and unload when i click the close button, which is what i want!. the only pain in the butt is it preloads the external flash when you go the flash site and i dont want that. i only want the script to close the external swf. if anyone is curious book.swf is the swf in the movieclip i am trying to close.[code]
I've got this interactive poem I've been working on for a class. I've basically finished each "episode" seperately. I made a parent document which essentially loads one of the ten child documents onto the respective key frame. Here's a sample of the code for the first key frame of the parent document:
Well Two things are messed up about it, well my "ChildTimeline2" variable will off and on assosciate itslef not with the main time line of a child document, but of a nested symbol inside said child document. Even worse, the "gotoAndStop();" command I will give sometimes applies to Parent document... yaay! but often it will apply to the child document. The end result being this horrible looping moment where you are stuck in one child document for all time.
I wish I could attach the documents but they exceed the 300KB. how I can get Actionscript to listen fro the last frame of the maintimeline of the child document, or tell flash to gotoandStop for the parent document
Everything is embedded in an HTML site. The HTML loads a preloader that then loads the actual flash movie. Inside this movie I created a few buttons, inside a scroll bar movie clip. I want the buttons to load a whole new movie inside the same html. The code I'm using in the button is simply:
on(release) { loadMovie("new_movie.swf", 0); }
The problem is that it works beautifully in the Flash movie tester but doesn't do anything when tested inside the browser, embedded in the HTML. I think the problem is that the HTML embeds as an object the first movie, the preloader for the menu movie, not the menu movie itself.
and I have this swf file with cms that I'd like for this menu to load. Currently the swf file load external text using this code:
Code: if (contenturl1 ne "") { loadVariablesNum(contenturl1 + "/" + userid + "/content.txt", 0);[code].....
but when the xml menu loads this swf file its structure loads but not its data.I tried using :
Code: this._lockroot = true;
in the loading swf main time line but it did not work.I should also mention that the dynamic data that loads onto the swf that is to be loaded by the menu, resides not in it main time line but 4 movie clips deep .I don't know if that makes a difference or not.
I have just been to a really nice website that has some really nice use of Flash on it.... I'm totally wowed by the resizing picture effect though? When each picture loads the loading frame resizes to the new picture size.
I'm totally wowed by the resizing picture effect though? When each picture loads the loading frame resizes to the new picture size.It must be some sort of actionscripting but how is it done?
I am creating an application. At one view I have three states. If I changes state and than back button pressed it unloads the application.I am developing it in Adobe AIR.
I have an animated logo swf file that loads and runs once on the home page every time the page loads. The logo has been updated to appear in three different colour schemes. I want one scheme to load and when the page is refreshed or revisited, one of the other colour schemes to load in its place. They can appear in any random order, just a different one to the one that played before reloading.Can someone point me to an answer or tell me how to do it? I have found a way in JavaScript but this only works on plain images, not swf files.
I am loading an external SWF into a movie clip that is located on the main timeline like this:
[Code]...
the whole flash file unloads itself and I see a blank screen... I've tried using unloadMovieNum to target the level that testMovie is on but that doesn't work...Do I need to load a blank movie into testMovie to clear it? there must be a cleaner way.
the best way to do it but i have a preloader the loads an external swf that loads 2 external swf files. one on layer o and the other 1.it seems to load the swf on layer 1 twice.url...if i run the swf that loads the 2 external swf files by it's self and the same problem happens.mouse over the navagation button and then mouse over the close button and follow the animation down to were it turns back into the navagation button. sometimes the close stays up.if i run the swf file that just contains the navagation it dosen't happen.
What command do I enter for the movie to rewind to first frame on entering a certain frame / stopping in a frame?It's my first time using Flash, and I'm working on a double menu (second menu has a "close" button, where I want to get back to the first menu).
i have a movieclip on stage. it has 3 frames but is stopped with "stop():" so it only shows the first frame on mousedown i want it to play frame 2 for a duration of 1 frame then frame 3.
