HOWEVER, I need a pointed to production ready code. I've looked at plenty of examples in both Flex and HTML that aren't ready for prime time. No demo code needed.
Here's my requirements for production ready:
1) Memory leaks are under control.
2) Works like a river with larger data sets, paging in sub-sets in some set number. The component/code needs to be able to handle 100+ items to flow through, preferable up to 500.

Jun 7, 2011I am trying to get my text progression to flow right to left but flip it so that instead of tiliting your head to the right to read it you would tilt your head to the left. I had originally transformed and flipped the text box which worked for english text. But there is an option to change the language to chinese and when you do, the chinese character display upsidedown. Do you know how to handle that?

Apr 9, 2009I'm trying to achieve the same effect as the carousel on this site: [URL]. Only different thing I'm trying to do is not have it auto scroll, but to have a left and right button. I have tried using the Carousel 3 tutorial and modifying the code but I keep running into problems and I am a little lost getting the blur effect going and getting the z-index (ie items get smaller as they rotate to the back similar to the example above).

Feb 22, 2009My program reads a rather large data file that is crucial to the display of the program I am making.I have an event listener that waits for my loader to load all data from the file, and it then adds all the data (and parses it) to a 2d array.Unfortunately the program flow doesnt wait for the loading to finish, so when it checks the array, it is still empty because nothing is loaded into the array yet.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Scroll Code With The Carousel Effect
Jul 13, 2009how this is accomplished?[URL] In this site, if you drag the "sun" back and forth, you spin the tickets. I've done something similar in as2, with the carousel effect. What I'm really interested in is how, when you release the "sun", the tickets don't stop spinning until the one closest to the middle of the stage is directly in the middle of the stage. I've been trying to accomplish this with a some scrollable thumbnails. But when you release the arrow keys, it stops where ever it was on MOUSE_UP.

Mar 27, 2009I didn't want to use the code that creates the zooming and fading icons when you click on them since I needed the carousel to act as a menu for my portfolio on my new website. Therefore I wanted the viewers to be able to click on an icon and the browser directs them to a new page (in the same window) which would display that certain part of my portfolio.
Anyway I got it all working fine with a little animation that leads up to the end keyframe which holds the carousel actionscript. It works when I test it in Flash and it also works when I publish it. When I click on the published SWF. Yet when I insert the code that links to the .swf file and open the index.html file up to view it in both IE7 and Firefox the flash movie works with respect to the lead up animation but when it reaches the final keyframe all the other graphics are shown except the actual carousel.
I've tried publishing it with different settings such as the Flash with HTTPS which creates the AC_Runcontent.js file and linking to that file in the html but that still doesn't work.

I am using Lee Brimelow's carousel, but I need to change the operation so the individual carousel element only rotates to the front when clicked.

Sep 13, 2006I am working on a simple scroller rite now. What it is suposd to do is scroll a row of buttons to the left when you go over the left button and to the rite when you go over the rite button. i am pretty sure i have the wright syntax but i alwasy get an error.

Nov 3, 2009I am currently working on a slideshow that loads it's images from xml. I want the slideshow to scroll automatic left and right. Now the problem is that i can't figure out how to tell flash that if the last image is in frame how to scroll backward till it reaches the first image.It can scroll automatic forward until it reaches the last image.I can tell flash when the last image has reached te stop sliding.

Actionscript 3.0 :: Click And Zoom 3D Carousel - Rotation Modification
Jun 22, 2009I was working with the sample code from the Click and Zoom 3D Carouse tutorial and was wondering if anybody figured out a way to have full rotation?
When the demo tutorial files first load the first image is the energy drink. The last is the cat. When you click on the cat first, the carousel, rotates all the way around to it rather than just one slot back. Similary, when at the cat (the last image) and clicking on the energy drink (the first), it rotates all the way around back rather than just one slot forward.
How do you make it rotate seamlessly both ways?
