ActionScript 2.0 :: Creating A FPS-gaming Clans Website(entirely In Flash)?
Feb 12, 2010
I'm currently creating a FPS-gaming clans website(entirely in flash). I'm trying to get a MovieClip to work, so when i roll over it, another movieclip shows up, and if i then roll onto the new movieclip(no longer on the old, in which case a function drags back the new movie clip) the movieclip will still stay.
I'm trying to create simple 2D action game, something similar to well known Fancy Pants Adventures :) I've been looking for answer for more than week and all I've found is [URL] which not answers the question. (I've found also moving on platforms that are rotated but that's not I'm looking for). I have also found great (and free!) flash game engine - CitrusEngine which I'm currently using, but, it doesn't provide moving hero along curved terrain. How to make hero moving along curved terrain like this one: [URL]. There are plenty of games like this (for ex. Fancy Pants or Robot Unicorn Attack) where main character moves along the curved terrain but I can't find answer how can I do that.
I am in the process of creating an all-flash website for my best friend. It is for his music group and he would like to be able to update the dates on the upcoming events page every so often.s there a fairly easy way for me to show him how to do this, or should I just scrap the half-made flash site and opt for an html site?
Rather than build a controller for each video on our website, my IT dept wants me to build one controller that all videos can access. How do I do that and do I need a script? I know nothing about scripting and I'm a newbie in video publishing
i'm recently creating a full browser flash website. the important thing is: the stage.height should never be smaller than 768px because things are cut then. but how to tell actionscript not to make the stage.height smaller than 768 onResize? i've tried the following things, but they don't work:
Basically Iam new to flash actionscript3.0, I am plannning to create Flash website. I need some help from anyone like creating button events, getting url, loading dynamic text etc.
I want to be able to record 5-30 sec "green screen" segments on my video camera, extract them from the background, save it as DECENT QUALITY flash that can be embedded in my company website (small motorcycle dealership in Sweden) so that I can reach my customers in a better way. I have seen a website that does this and truly want to learn it. I am willing to buy whatever software is necessary.
i have a created full flash site and i m ready to upload it on a my server But i want to add a download link to a pdf file in my Site can i just do it by simply adding the following A.S. to the button
I would like to create a secure login section for a website. I have managed to build up an AS3-PHP communication where PHP checks user credentials. I am already providing data enchryption between AS3 and PHP but I would like to add some further security. Is it possible to implement a HTTPS login section?
trying to make things for my classroom. Dawsonk was kind enough to help me out with it months ago, but I had a computer crash at school and lost it. Unfortunately the school system doesnt try to recover stuff, they just wipe it.What I want is basically a gaming wheel (like at a carnival, the kind you spin).I want to be able to have a .jpg or something that I can modify (if I change the lesson later, or for different outcomes, just replace the .jpg with a same sized wheel).I just want to hit a button, make it spin, slow down, and stop. Maybe a second graphic of just a pointer at the top that overlaps it so you know where it lands. It doesn't even have to stop exactly on one 'category' or 'slot'. It just needs to slow down and stop randomly.
I understand that there are many methods to creating a slideshow on a website, but that isn't my question. What I really want to know is what is the most mainstream method of creating a slideshow on a website. What do you recommend? So far I've seen Jquery, Javascript, CSS & DHTML, and Flash. The first thing that comes to mind for me is flash, then second Javascript.
I want to create an auction website in Flash using Action Script. Any suggestions how I can go about doing that? If anyone has any code snippets for auction website
Ok so my website is a basic portfolio site. the interface is as follows: on the right is a box shape...to the left are my buttons and on the top is my logo and such. now for my coding questions.
1. I want a gallery to appear in the box showing my work
2. My buttons are named "Photoshop", "Illustrator", and "Indesign", i would like to have it so when you click on each button a new window gallery will appear in the box to show my work for each pogram
3. How do i insert my images? Do i just place them in my library in Flash? Do i use dreamweaver?
thats pretty much it.Unfortunately my teacher is refusing to teach coding.
I am a very basic user on adobe flash, basically all I use Flash for at this moment is to create animated gif or basic SWF website banners. The problem that I am encountering at this moment is that when I export to an animated GIF the image quality becomes pixelated (see sample image below), where if i export the same work to an SWF it appears normal, I have tried several different combinations on the settings when saving the GIF but everytime I get the same results. I would only use SWF formats but our website does not support SWF in every section.
I am a member of a clan on a popular gaming website. I'd like to make fully interactive flash videos detailing certain game concepts. Is it possible to do this with screenshots (there are some drop down menus) or would I have to remodel the website in Flash?Basically, I'd like to know how to make it so I can tell the user to click a certain link and take a certain step, we've all seen those types of interactive tutorials.
This is my first time using Flash to create a website. I am not familiar with Action Script, its functions classes etc., however I am familiar in programming in JAVA. I will be using ActionScript 3 and Flash CS5. (I have Flash CS4 also if needed). I am trying to create a website with a scrolling background that has 4 different scenes. I have attached an image to illustrate my idea. There will be a user interface, consisting of 4 buttons, which will be on stage at all times. Each of the button will correspond to a different scene of the background. So if the user clicks on the third button, the background will slide itself until the third scene appears on the stage.
Questions in mind: How would the coding be like? I am planning to apply it to the button. So the background should shift ___ amount of pixels to the left or right depending on which scene the user is currently in. So if background is currently at position 800,0 (so the user is currently in scene 2) and the user clicks on 4th button. The background should move -1600 so the 4th scene will appear on stage. I am guessing there is 16 different cases I have to address. Assuming if that works, how would I also move the other objects on the scenes of background? Such as links to email address or my portfolio.
I am creating a website to allow users to download a selection of soundfiles. What I'm wondering is how I can create a link in ActionScript 3 which downloads a specified file to the users machine - giving them control over the download location along the way.
I have 2 websites both built entirely in flash. My problem is that I have created a button on 1 of the sites that has to link to a particular scene and frame within a different flash website.
I want to use a flash preloader for my php website. I have seen some javascript examples; but I want something attractive and cool. So I want use flash preloader which will show the percentage of the website loaded. My website is kinda heavy(with lot of images). It looks bad when the contents load. So I want to show a flash preloader while the site loads.
am i publishing the movie incorrectly? It works great when I preview the flash file (cntrl+enter), but after I publish it and insert it into the html (in dreamweaver), the file shows up and animates perfectly, but when clicked, no link... It doesn't do anything
I am new to flash and trying to make a simple flash website video intro in Flash CS5 Pro.I have a flv viedo on the stage, under an image with a trasnparent center.I have the video on the bottom layer, the overlay image on the middle layer, and the top layer is my AS layer (AS3).
The video is currently autoplaying when i export. All i want is for it to open my website in the same window as the intro played when the video ends.I dont need a "skip intro button" or anything.I just want it to play the intro when you go to my site, and then bring up the index page of my site after it plays.
I wanted to create a simple flash contact form for my flash website. I went through Lee's tutorial on how to create the contact form and PHP file to go with it. I've uploaded everything to my server and tested the form. My flash form consists of Name, Subject, Message, and Email fields. When I receive the email all that comes through is this with none of the actual message that was written IN the contact form:
Name: Subject: Message: Email: The 'From' field is also blank. I don't know if my problem is with flash, my PHP code, or with my server. Can someone take a look at this and tell me what's wrong? I can't seem to find any errors from Lee's tutorial with my code or labeling.
