ActionScript 2.0 :: Fade Transition Between Moving Movieclips?
Jul 5, 2010
I have a difficult question and I have searched all over but cant find a solution.I have 3 movieclips:a) circle, filled in blue, black outlineb) circle, half filled in blue, black outlinec) circle, no fill, black outlineI have one instance of a movieclip moving randomly about the stage and want it to fade between a) b) and c) (based on a user defined input array eg circleArray[a, b, b, a, c, b, a] - if that makes sense?)The only way I am thinking is to have a movieclip that contains each of the 3 movieclips and then fades each to alpha 0 with a black outline at the bottom layer. And then referencing each faded movieclip with a label?
Does anyone know how to do this rollOver effect? [URL] Enter flash site and look at the rollOver buttons. I have the bar moving over each button but can't get it to fade out.
When a button is clicked on the flash site im creating, which links to the next page, ie about/contact/portfolio etc... I need the current frame movieclip to fadeout, then advance to the next page. This is my code so far
I have placed each of these mc's on their own layer and placed them in the first frame of their layers. I used the _visible = true/false property to show them when needed.
I want a Fade transition to occur when the next mc is visible. So from mc1 to mc13 they will play in a linear fashion and Fade in-between visibility.
I cannot find how to have multiple mc's use the Fade transition and I can only get the transition to work with Fading IN or OUT not both. I would like to have the mc Fade IN then when the sound is complete, it would Fade OUT and the next mc would Fade IN and so on through out all 13 mc's.
i am making a website where i need to fade full screen images. At the moment i am using TweenMax engine to change their alpha, but i think its slow on some computers ... Here is the website ( not finished ), you can see what i mean. I tried using colorTransform to change images alpha, but its even slower:
var ct:ColorTransform = new ColorTransform(1,1,1,0.95,0,0,0,0); onEnterFrame = function(){ _root.PrevBitmapData.colorTransform(_root.PrevBitm apData.rectangle,_root.ct);
i no, this topic looks like the one i found here, but it is not tottally explanatiory, before the question its nice beiing a part od the community. My question is, in my background i created a movieclip background and inside of that i put the images that i liked to transition one and than comes the other, but this is a lot of time just making the tweenings, it makes no sence having this work, could someone give me a code out there that i could make this background movieclip getting the images from a folder imgbackground from xml? How to create a xml file to the code get this images?
ok im trying to create a clip of a dot that fades randomly between four pre defined colours whilst also randomly varying in the size range 0 - 100%. i am trying to create a smooth size tween also.this is my attempt:
I have my images loaded into a mc with a fade transition using mx.transitions. As the image fades there is a streaking line which rolls across the image. What causes this?
I want to move my logo from bottom to top when the user click "Enter" button in default state. I set my logo bottom="20" after the user click "enter" button. I want my logo move to top="20" But I found the logo didn't have move up transition. It just goto top instantly. I thought this is easy task. Would somebody tell me the trick?
I've tried using tweenlite as a replacement for tweener. In one use I have a mc that I want to constantly move left or right when the mouse is hovering over it depending on position. With tweener I set the x for the tween to be mc.x-20. Using this with tweenlite 'to' just does it once rather then a smooth constant movement(this tween is being repeated through an event listener with mouse_over), 'from' will do what I want, however when the mouse leaves the mc, the mc comes to a halt and performs a tween in the opposite direction by 20 pixels...
I am not sure how to prevent the tween in the opposite direction or have 'to' continue to tween the mc without me having to rehover over the mc again for another tween of 20 pixels... So is it possible to use tweenlite like I had tweener working? Code: imageHolder.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, updateScroll); imageHolder.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, rollover); function rollover(e:MouseEvent):void { if(scrollc.mouseX>containerWidth/2) { scrolling="right"; [Code] .....
I have 5 buttons and each one needs to fade in a movieclip3 of the movieclips are just static text2 are slideshowsthe problem i have is that I want each movieclip to fade in and then fade out when another is selected from the main menu buttons!I've looked all over the forums and cant find the answer anywhere in simple terms (I'm new at flash!)Is there an actionscript I can add to the buttons or movieclip to make it do this?
I've got a horizontal bar on the screen following the mouse vertical motion. I would like for it to be transparent until the mouse moves, and then fade in to be 100% on mouse movement. When the mouse stops moving, I would like it to fade back to be 0% transparent after a couple of seconds. This what I have for the mouse follow on the bar MC...
i would like to fade through a series of movieclips containing text with actionscript instead of animating it on the timeline.I get by in Flash but am not too hot on coding yet, i hope someone can help me out here..im guessing you'd put the movieclips in an array and then use a timer or loop to play and fade between them?
var quotes:Array = [quote1, quote2, quote3]; trace(quotes); quotes.alpha = 0;[code]......
I have one mc called iquality. Inside this I have to mc's called iqualityactive_mc and iqualityinactive_mc applied to those two mc's is a script that fades one in and fades one out.
I was wondering if there is a way to fade in multiple movieclips, one after another, w/o using setInterval? I've tried setInterval, but I got some strange results...
Flash CS3, actionscript 2.0. I have a timeline animation that I am trying to convert to actionscript. Basically there are 8 movieclips that I have added to the timeline that fade in at different times. I have the code for each of the tweens figured out (var laugh:Tween = new Tween(laugh_mc, "_alpha", Strong.easeIn, 0, 100, 17, false) But I need one to start one, then when its finished, go to the next one without using go to and play.
I know how to move movieclips from one spot to another with a click of a button. I want to go further. After a few seconds, that movieclip will move again to another spot. So, with one click, my movieclip will move to one spot, and then after a few seconds will move to another spot.
I have this game where a movieclip moves towards the mouse point by finding the difference and dividing by its "speed". This isn't very good though because different users will have different cursor speeds. What I really need is a method that finds the angle between the two points then uses that angle and a "speed" to calculate the next position of the moving movieclip.Here's something along the lines of what I am looking for but it doesn't quite work?The function runs and everything. All that works, it's just the maths that isn't right.Something needs changing with the maths.
ActionScript Code: function moveCircle(e:Event):void {
Basic problem here. I'm adding a bunch of movieclips using the addChild method. I simply want to remove/hide/fade them after a button click, but I am unsure of how to refer to the movieclips which I've just added.
Here is the code as it stands: Code: Select allimport gs.TweenLite; import gs.easing.*; var strip:Bgstrip; var contentBg:ContentBg = new ContentBg(); contentBg.x = 440; contentBg.y = 166; addChild(contentBg); [Code] .....
I have to make a text fade off slowly, at the same time a text behind fading on at the same position, Can I do this with different MovieClips or I have to use a simngle text component... Ok, this what I want: (fading on) SomeText (fading off/fading on)Some other text (fading off)
I'm currently making a game in which movie clips move across the screen and you have to shoot at them to make them disappear and gain points but I am having problems with the code. I have been able to get the movie clips to disappear but when instead of points appearing in the Dynamic text box, i get the letters 'NaN'.
This is the code I am using at the moment: this.onRelease = function():Void { this.unloadMovie(); _root.panda++; }; (panda is the var name of the dynamic text box).
I'm making an image gallery and I want to have a bunch of thumbnails on the bottom of the screen that smoothly slide from side to side when the mouse moves.
I'm working with a custom class for the container (Tiles) and a custom class for the thumbnails (ImageIcon).
I have a ComboBox which allows users to to choose a gallery. When the user chooses a gallery, the following code is run and the thumbnails should reload. The problem here is that the icons appear on top of each other instead of side by side, also switching categories should remove the old one (see the first for loop), but it does not. Also, the Icons are not animating properly. The animation code is below as well. Right now, only one of the icons will move. The icons should move in order from side to side, stopping when the last few icons hit the edge of the screen, so that they don't get "lost" somewhere off to the side.
Gallery Loader Code:
public function loadCategory(xml:XML = null){ if(xml != null){ dp = new DataProvider(xml);
Is there anyway that I can make this script so my MC moves in a curling motion? PHP Code: // Gives them vars onClipEvent (load) { this._x = 275; this._y = 200; this._xscale = 0; this._yscale = 0; [Code] ..... This script makes a spot move from the center out and scales a little. I want same movement but with a curling motion or a slight curve...
Click on a thumbnail and the corresponding image is preloaded BEFORE scaling and moving smoothly from the thumbnail position to a target position. (the thumbnail is actually the container for the loaded image, and therefore also moves to the target) I have got everything to work, except that the thumbnail moves whilst the image is still loading. This problem defeats the purpose of the gallery, and I'm starting to get blurry vision now!
I hope I have made everything clear, but since this is quite difficult to explain, I have attached the fla and images. *You will need to simulate download in flash for the current preloader to work. P.s. much of the script was (heavily) adapted from an fla I found somewhere, in which the images are arranged into a circle.
