ActionScript 2.0 :: Flash 5 - Random Colours With Transition Fade?
Feb 26, 2003
ok im trying to create a clip of a dot that fades randomly between four pre defined colours whilst also randomly varying in the size range 0 - 100%. i am trying to create a smooth size tween also.this is my attempt:
So I can tween shapes and such for their colours, but when I try to colour tween text, it won't work. I've tried various things, motion tween, shape tween, making them movie clips, making them graphics, ect. How do I make text tween between colours to get a nice smooth transition?
I am trying to create a loop that changes the colours of my dynamic vectors inside my sprite however I am not sure if I putt the following var names in the right place in the end of my statement attached or if i need another variable :[code]
Im looking for a random transition effect in flash.... say for example i have 10 images.... Each time page refreshes images should be shuffled and be loaded.
If you test swf you'll see a main nav, and bars randomly tweening back and forth. There are 6 bars, and they are all fixed sizes so the only thing that is tweening randomly is the x position. What I need is to put a short duration on the bars tweening, 5-10 seconds, and have it act as sort of a transition so when you click to go to from one section to another, the tweening bars move around for the short duration and then when they stop a gotoandplay or set visible true action is triggered to load the content. But here is the tricky part...i need to have the bars return to their initial positioning.
What i'm looking into now, is taking the initiate random movement script from the random layer, and placing it within each of the onrelease functions in the navigation layer with some kind of if/else element, like if 10 seconds has passed return bars to initial position and show clip... or something like that... Or...couldn't i put the //initiate the movement part in a function and then activate it onRelease for a few seconds using getTimer somehow and then call another function after getTimer is up that would stop the bars and return them to their initial x positions.
I have a difficult question and I have searched all over but cant find a solution.I have 3 movieclips:a) circle, filled in blue, black outlineb) circle, half filled in blue, black outlinec) circle, no fill, black outlineI have one instance of a movieclip moving randomly about the stage and want it to fade between a) b) and c) (based on a user defined input array eg circleArray[a, b, b, a, c, b, a] - if that makes sense?)The only way I am thinking is to have a movieclip that contains each of the 3 movieclips and then fades each to alpha 0 with a black outline at the bottom layer. And then referencing each faded movieclip with a label?
When a button is clicked on the flash site im creating, which links to the next page, ie about/contact/portfolio etc... I need the current frame movieclip to fadeout, then advance to the next page. This is my code so far
I have placed each of these mc's on their own layer and placed them in the first frame of their layers. I used the _visible = true/false property to show them when needed.
I want a Fade transition to occur when the next mc is visible. So from mc1 to mc13 they will play in a linear fashion and Fade in-between visibility.
I cannot find how to have multiple mc's use the Fade transition and I can only get the transition to work with Fading IN or OUT not both. I would like to have the mc Fade IN then when the sound is complete, it would Fade OUT and the next mc would Fade IN and so on through out all 13 mc's.
I'm working on a random slideshow gallery that uses xml to populate the mc, and it works great, but now i want to add a fade-in effect for each 1 of the pics, or maybe a cross-fade,this is the script i have so far.[code]...
i am making a website where i need to fade full screen images. At the moment i am using TweenMax engine to change their alpha, but i think its slow on some computers ... Here is the website ( not finished ), you can see what i mean. I tried using colorTransform to change images alpha, but its even slower:
var ct:ColorTransform = new ColorTransform(1,1,1,0.95,0,0,0,0); onEnterFrame = function(){ _root.PrevBitmapData.colorTransform(_root.PrevBitm apData.rectangle,_root.ct);
i no, this topic looks like the one i found here, but it is not tottally explanatiory, before the question its nice beiing a part od the community. My question is, in my background i created a movieclip background and inside of that i put the images that i liked to transition one and than comes the other, but this is a lot of time just making the tweenings, it makes no sence having this work, could someone give me a code out there that i could make this background movieclip getting the images from a folder imgbackground from xml? How to create a xml file to the code get this images?
I have a background picture covered with black squares(which are movieclips) that I want to randomly or at least aparently randomly fade in and fade out never exposing more than a part of the picture that is hidden behind these squares. how I can accomplish this effect with actionscript?
I have my images loaded into a mc with a fade transition using mx.transitions. As the image fades there is a streaking line which rolls across the image. What causes this?
im not exactly sure where to start right now im using a script for dhtml to rotate imaged randomly what i hope to accomplish is background , that will have some type of transition effect and randomly show my images
i have 32 images atm i would like to rotate through i found this and have tried to use it , but not exactly what i want , i need a transitional effect of somekind, and want it to rotate at a given amount of time , say maybe 12seconds[URL]...
I have been looking at tutorials online and I havent found exactly what I need.I have a folder of jpegs that I need to fade in and out at random. One movie clip, not triggered by anything, just fadeing in and out different jpegs from an external folder
I have 5 pictures that I want to randomly fade in and out on a loop, the problem with this is that there's not really anything to trigger this action. An animated intro comes in on load (all done on the timeline) and on a frame named "home" it stops, this is when I want to run this piece of Actionscript. When a button is triggered here, the images are going to fade, and it goes to several full page menus (laid out on the timeline), when clicked again it goes back to "home".This is the closest I've gotten so far:
I have a picture on the stage that is coverd by 24 small squares (suare01, square02,. square24) The alpha property for all squares is50. I would like the squares randomly fade to alpha 0 (stay on alpha 0 for approx. 8 seconds) and then fade back to alpha 50 again, while another one fade to alpha 0
I have a image scrollbar (the one that was used for the infinite menu tutorial in this site) and when the user clicks on a button (photo gallery), i want an enlarged image to fade in and stop. Now heres the my problem I want to be able to randomly click on any button (total 20) and the current image that is being shown fades out and fades into the one that was currently selected.here's any example of wut i want to do but not so complex, just a simply fade in/out.
I'm trying to use threshold to change the colours in a bitmap image according to a lookup table. I've tried the following line of code to convert each colour to another, but without any luck:
Code: bmd.threshold(bmd, bmd.rect, new Point(), "==", originalColour, newColour);
I have not had much luck so far, I've only managed to generate a black and white image, or nothing at all.
What would be the best way to get my random background to fade in? It is loaded using an XML file, and the images are large so when the site loads it takes a sec then... BAM - - image, lol.Heres my code:
I used the fade class to build a fade in-out image gallery. It s quite easy and it works fine. But then they asked me to load the images randomly and thats when the thing got complicated.[code]...
I've done the fading grid tutorial at: [URL], but I was wondering if someone knew how to make the grid fade in diagonally from the left or right top corners (or bottom corners too) like this site [URL]. I also have another question with the fading grid, does anyone know how to make the grid fade in from random spots on the movie clip instead of the left to right, up to down, etc. way?? I'd really like to see that effect happen, if possible.
