Oct 14, 2008I'm working with the following code, and want to have my slideshow images fade into each other. At the moment, the picture before, after it's reached its delay setting, just switches off and the next one fades in, meaning the background displays (which isn't desirable)

Adding Particular Transition Effect Between Images In Slideshow
Feb 16, 2009I've been asked to incorporate a slideshow into a website that I'm working on, which is fine, except they have seen a particular tranition effect that is used between images, this can be seen on these two sites...[URL]. Its kind of a bleach effect? Which I presume is achieved using some sort of tween engine like Tweenmax or the Fusekit? The Honda site also has a nice second transition effect which is pretty cool, where dots kind of fall away? Has this just been done on the timeline?

Jul 5, 2010I have a difficult question and I have searched all over but cant find a solution.I have 3 movieclips:a) circle, filled in blue, black outlineb) circle, half filled in blue, black outlinec) circle, no fill, black outlineI have one instance of a movieclip moving randomly about the stage and want it to fade between a) b) and c) (based on a user defined input array eg circleArray[a, b, b, a, c, b, a] - if that makes sense?)The only way I am thinking is to have a movieclip that contains each of the 3 movieclips and then fades each to alpha 0 with a black outline at the bottom layer. And then referencing each faded movieclip with a label?

ActionScript 2.0 :: Fade Transition For Multiple Mc's Via TransitionManager?
Aug 23, 2006I have placed each of these mc's on their own layer and placed them in the first frame of their layers. I used the _visible = true/false property to show them when needed.
I want a Fade transition to occur when the next mc is visible. So from mc1 to mc13 they will play in a linear fashion and Fade in-between visibility.
I cannot find how to have multiple mc's use the Fade transition and I can only get the transition to work with Fading IN or OUT not both. I would like to have the mc Fade IN then when the sound is complete, it would Fade OUT and the next mc would Fade IN and so on through out all 13 mc's.

Jul 1, 2008I usually do this with code and timeline, but i need to do this in one frame with only buttons. so for example

so that fades in nicely, now i need it to fade out when the next button is pressed and then that button fades in and out, etc.

Here is the website ( not finished ), you can see what i mean. I tried using colorTransform to change images alpha, but its even slower:

Feb 24, 2011i no, this topic looks like the one i found here, but it is not tottally explanatiory, before the question its nice beiing a part od the community. My question is, in my background i created a movieclip background and inside of that i put the images that i liked to transition one and than comes the other, but this is a lot of time just making the tweenings, it makes no sence having this work, could someone give me a code out there that i could make this background movieclip getting the images from a folder imgbackground from xml? How to create a xml file to the code get this images?

Apr 20, 2005I had to make a simple slide show for a client and they wanted it done in flash. I am not very good in flash and am having a problem trying to get the first image and text to fade in once the user clicks on the category they want.
I want both the image and the text to fade out and have a new image and new text to fade in when the user clicks the next or previous button. I would also like it if I could have the text be timed so that it will fade in AFTER the image it goes with fades in.
Right now the slide show is really ugly, I will make it pretty once I have it built and working correctly, so don't judge the look...haha.
Anyway, here is the .swf file which is what it looks like now...my .fla file was too big to upload on here. I would post the code, but I have so much in different places that I don't know where to start as far as what you will need.
I can't see the swf file that I uploaded when I click on it.

This time I AM looking for a quick fix though, since I already know how to make the simplest slideshows with next, previous buttons, but I don't know how to make images fade into each other and add captions, as well as stop the animation when mouse is over the image. Jul 12, 2010I'm working on a slide show which I would like work automatically (fade in and out) as well as being able to be prompted to switch via buttons... I know this is a super simple thing, but I cannot get all the buttons to work. The buttons are copies of the same instance with different instance names and are located at the 3 respective frames in timeline where the pieces of slideshow should fade in/out. I get the first set of buttons to work:

Oct 31, 2007I have a slide show that displays 6 images and is suppose to do a fade in / fade out (not an overlap fade) between each image. The peculiar behavior is that when the movie is testedlocally by using "Test Movie", the fades occur properly. However when the swf is viewed from the website, during the first cycle of the slideshow, the next image does NOT fade in. After the first cycle, the fade in occurs properly.

Jan 6, 2010I was able to take an existing Flash file created in '06 and make a simple slideshow. See it at: [URL]. Apr 30, 2007I have designed a "Before-and-After" slideshow using Alpha tweens to slowly fade one image into another. The effect works great, however, it seems that the effect only works on the first time the user enters that page. If the user clicks the "play again" button, I reload the .swf and want the effect the play again, but it just moves from the first to second image, without the alpha effect transition.Is there some way to "reset" the .swf to replay the alpha tween effect? why it would have this behavior? The site and effect are purely actionscript, so I cannot do something like "goToAndPlay(1)" in the last frame, the entire site is only in the first frame.
