I have a image scrollbar (the one that was used for the infinite menu tutorial in this site) and when the user clicks on a button (photo gallery), i want an enlarged image to fade in and stop. Now heres the my problem I want to be able to randomly click on any button (total 20) and the current image that is being shown fades out and fades into the one that was currently selected.here's any example of wut i want to do but not so complex, just a simply fade in/out.
What would be the best way to get my random background to fade in? It is loaded using an XML file, and the images are large so when the site loads it takes a sec then... BAM - - image, lol.Heres my code:
I used the fade class to build a fade in-out image gallery. It s quite easy and it works fine. But then they asked me to load the images randomly and thats when the thing got complicated.[code]...
im working on an xml based slideshow. Random images loading (only ones and no repeated image) and fade in-out effect. Thats working fine, but the problem is that when animation starts it does it on white screen and then fades in to the first image. How can i keep my slideshow working the same way but starting with the first image already on stage (without fade in)? My Code:
code: import fl.transitions.Tween; import fl.transitions.easing.*; import fl.transitions.TweenEvent; import com.greensock.*; import com.greensock.easing.*; var my_speed:Number; var my_total:Number; var my_images:XMLList; var my_loaders_array:Array=[]; var my_labels_array:Array=[]; var my_success_counter:Number=0; var my_playback_counter:Number=0; var my_slideshow:Sprite = new Sprite(); var[code]..........

I have a background picture covered with black squares(which are movieclips) that I want to randomly or at least aparently randomly fade in and fade out never exposing more than a part of the picture that is hidden behind these squares. how I can accomplish this effect with actionscript?
I have 5 buttons that need to, when clicked fade the image in the background out and fade a new picture in. each of these buttons has a specific image related to it. how can i achive this smooth transition in and out for all of the buttons?
I have a tweened movie which plays on a loop. A click on the image area stops the movie and the image fades nicely from alpha 100 to alpha 0. A second click brings the image back immediately to alpha 100 and the clip continues. I would like the movie image to fade back in from alpha0 to alpha 100 before it re-starts; (the reverse of the fade out). At the moment the re-appearence of the image is a crude jump. So far my ill informed tinkering has not worked.
What I'm trying to do is have an image fade in, pause for 6 seconds and then fade out.My 6 seconds is doing something, but it's not what I want it to do and I'm not sure why. Here's my code:
having real problems finding anything about fading in and out sound in flash, have searched for 3 days now and found mostly as2 related articles,i have the following
var myintSnd:introSound; var sndintChannel:SoundChannel; myintSnd = new introSound;
I have been looking at tutorials online and I havent found exactly what I need.I have a folder of jpegs that I need to fade in and out at random. One movie clip, not triggered by anything, just fadeing in and out different jpegs from an external folder
I have 5 pictures that I want to randomly fade in and out on a loop, the problem with this is that there's not really anything to trigger this action. An animated intro comes in on load (all done on the timeline) and on a frame named "home" it stops, this is when I want to run this piece of Actionscript. When a button is triggered here, the images are going to fade, and it goes to several full page menus (laid out on the timeline), when clicked again it goes back to "home".This is the closest I've gotten so far:
I have a picture on the stage that is coverd by 24 small squares (suare01, square02,. square24) The alpha property for all squares is50. I would like the squares randomly fade to alpha 0 (stay on alpha 0 for approx. 8 seconds) and then fade back to alpha 50 again, while another one fade to alpha 0
i have a set of images which i've converted to mcs and have given them all different instance names. The first image motion tweens to the right of the screen via actionscript and then the next one will motion tween from the bottom of the screen to the top and then the image after that will go to the right of the screen and next one goes to to the top, and so on. I have this actionscript for the first image,
[Code]...
I need the next image to start motion tweeing up to the top of the screen right when the first image starts fading out. Then when the second images starts fading out the next image is already motion tweening to the right of the screen and so on. Once every image has run through its tween everything repeats. Is there any way of doing this?
Ive just completed the Kirupa XML Slideshow today and have it all working well. But i cant figure out how to fade out the previous image as the next image fades in.
I've been putting data into an array via XML, and then selecting at random an image string to load in a pic at random. But whilst doing this, I wanted to remove the String from the Array that I have just used, so I don't get repetition of the same image in the output. I initially thought that pop would remove the string I had just used - But of course it Removes the last value in the Array instead, which doesn't really help.
Ok - so how about randomizing the data once inside the Array, after it has been pulled in from XML!? That way I can load in the 'last' image, and then pop it out! Keeping a randomized selection of images each time 'it' is loaded
I'm working on a random slideshow gallery that uses xml to populate the mc, and it works great, but now i want to add a fade-in effect for each 1 of the pics, or maybe a cross-fade,this is the script i have so far.[code]...
I have a single frame file that is a portfolio viewer. When I rollover a thumbnail an image shows up in my main_mc. This works fine, but am trying to get the image to fade in to make it a little nicer.I've spent countless hours already searching forums and testing code, but it doesn't work. I wonder if it's because I'm using only one frame?
What I want to do is fade one image out while fading another image in. The script that I am using fades one image to alpha 0 then fades the next one in to alpha 100.The script that I am using is this.On first frame of main timeline
back._visible=false; function goPage(whichWay){ slides.alphaChange=-5;[code]....
ok im trying to create a clip of a dot that fades randomly between four pre defined colours whilst also randomly varying in the size range 0 - 100%. i am trying to create a smooth size tween also.this is my attempt:
I've done the fading grid tutorial at: [URL], but I was wondering if someone knew how to make the grid fade in diagonally from the left or right top corners (or bottom corners too) like this site [URL]. I also have another question with the fading grid, does anyone know how to make the grid fade in from random spots on the movie clip instead of the left to right, up to down, etc. way?? I'd really like to see that effect happen, if possible.
There are some threads about this but they are all pretty messy What I am looking for seems pretty straight forward. User push a button, a random mc is attached from the library. User keeps pushing the button until all mc's are shown, i.e. all mc's are shown only once.What I got is 5 mc's in the library with linkage 1 to 5. Button with instance "button" and a empty target mc with instance "targetMC". Code I got is
Code: stop(); card = new Array("1", "2", "3", "4", "5");
I have 15 empty placeholder on my stage, named "empty01" - "empty15". I have 15 mcs in my library, with linkage identifiers "01" - "15".
[CODE]...
I would prefer for 'empty01' to load a random mc. Can anyone advise how I could achieve this? I have tried to create an array containing the 15 library mcs (not sure if this is correct):
i am hoping that one of the bright sparks on here can help me to get something working correctly.i have a movie that has a number of mc's that have sounds relating to them - when the mc is clicked, one of a number of library mp3's should play at random. each mc has upto three associated sounds.
at the moment the tunes play on click but sometimes repeat - i need to ensure that each plays a different sound in any given order. this is the script that i have on the mc's to define the playing of a sound - in this instance the "playexplosion" is the call for the sound and it uses the vars/array to call the specific mp3 (explosiona/explosionb etc.
[Code]...
is there something obvious that i am missing in that script? or is there a line i can add to tell the mc to not repeat until one of the other mp3's has been played? it is driving me nuts at the moment - and should in theory be straight forward enough, but in practice it is not that easy
