ActionScript 2.0 :: Make It "unclickable" When Playing?
Feb 1, 2009
I have a movieclip that acts like a button. When clicked on, the movieclip starts to animate, but how do I make it "unclickable" when playing? I dont want the animation to start everytime is is clicked on, only when in "idle".
now i've divided my scene with frames labeled. say: at frame 1, it's my about section. At frame 20, its my photo section, etc. on the same scene, i've created my menu to navigate to these sections. each button calls a frame label, and the proper ainmation happens, and then, you're in the section you chose. NOW... (i have a feeling i should of thought about that earlier...) i'm trying to figure out a way to tell my button to be unclickable (and hightlighted) while you're in its section, until you leave that section. i know that my site is probably NOT constructed the way it should be. but starting over isnt really an option, since i have a deadline...
I have a HBox with no background, but with some children. Behind the HBox is a button which need to be clicked. The button is unclickable at the moment because the HBox is on top of it. I need the button to be clickable and still have the HBox on top of it
I've made a site where an iframe calls to a top navigation element, with a javascript drop down menu. I have it working where the menu drops over a center flash element, but even when the menu is not "dropped" - any element in that area on the flash does not respond to clicks.
I've changed z indexes, and now i cant seem to get the flash file to even be ontop of the iframe -
I'm using Flash CS3 and want to create a custom ComboBox. I've followed the steps outlined in "Editing component skins in a new document" (http:/[url]...), but every time I get to the step where I drag the ComboBox Assets folder from the HaloTheme.fla library into my library, if I test movie at that point my combobox has become an unclickable white rectangle with no label, button or anything.
I am new to Flash action script and i have problem with action script code. Even though i comment the mvMyVid.play(); still the audio plays for fraction of second and stops.[code]...
I am so stuck on the simplest of transitions! I've just started using AS3 everything works fine so far, but I have been looking for weeks for a solution to this.... Please help me!!
I have a simple illustration with 4 buttons. Each button calls in a different SWF (movie) . The SWF fades into place and when you click on a different button it is removed and a new one fades into the same position.
My question is: How can I make the swf fade out completely after playing without pressing another button, so that I can see through my illustration in the background?
How can I make the loadMovie keep looping after playing once?
loadMovie("leftback_a1.swf","videoHolder");
I want leftback_a1.swf to keep looping and playback after it finishes.
And how can I control the playback of the leftback_a1.swf? Meaning if I have a button to click to stop it and it will pause and a button to click to play and it will play from where it paused.
Ok, so I have a main swf that loads an external swf into a movie clip called container_mc.In that external swf I want to stop it from playing and also make a play_btn appear so that the user may start it going again when they are ready. In my main swf I made this function:
ActionScript Code: function pauseMovie(){ trace("movie paused");
I would like to make a preloader that has a movie clip playing. It's basically a looping movieclip. Also, I have an animation to play as the actual preloader.What would be the best way of going about this? I have basic actionscript skills but, i'm trying to learn a best practice to use while utilizing as3.
I have a movieClip name BlackScreen. In that BlackScreen mc I have a timeline which stops and a video which I converted to a movieClip named video_mc plays on that frame.I have a button named x10_btn in BlackScreen mc which navigates back to my main timeline. Can someone please tell me how to make my movie stop playing when x10_btn is pressed. when I imported the video I chose "Load external video with playback component" .Here's the code in my actions layer of BlackScreen mc
Once playhead gets to frame 41 the BlackScreen mc has completed animation and returns to main timeline.Currently, when playhead reaches back to main timeline the video sound continues to play and overlaps other sounds.
I have 2 flash banners (using ActionScript 2) on my web page, how can I make them start playing at the same time, after the page has fully loaded? Both .SWF files are embedded in HTML using the script provided by Adobe on object export. I created both in Flash CS4, but I have very little knowledge of flash. I read about "LocalConnection", but I have no idea how to implement it in flash.
I have a flash document (Actionscript-3) with play button on top of a image, and an audio is played when the button is clicked. How do I make the play button disappear when it is clicked and audio is playing. The button should reappear after the audio has finished playing.
I'm trying to make buttons for my website that have sounds playing on them during the over states. But when you move the mouse off the button, the sound keeps playing. Run that mouse everywhere, the sounds are all playing, it's chaos. How do I fix a button so that the sound stops playing when the mouse moves off?
I've created an movieclip button that onRelease: moves to the highest depth and expands to the entire page and onRelease again: contracts to a thumbnail and moves to a lower depth.'ve got the animation working. However, I'd like the movieclip to finish playing the contracting to a thumbnail animation to the end before moving to a lower depth. Here's a concatenated version of the code://Variable that I set to know when the button was clicked first to expand.
I've got an infographic I'm working on, and every time I roll over an image (a ring) the alpha goes up to 100, then I roll out and it goes back to 50. That much I'm good with.
Then, I click on each one of them, and a movie clip (built inside of each ring/button) pops up and plays. Fair enough.
I've got a script (ugly, but it works!) that will hide all other buttons while this movie clip is playing. But, when I click to close it, I can't figure out a way to make them reappear. I tried putting visible = true again for all of them, but no dice.
The actionscript for it is right below.
I'm not sure if there's anything I can do to make it modal in AS3 or something like that. Or should I go ahead and set it up in a parent/child kind of way (not too well-versed in that regard.
All the buttons to click on are in the same layer and I'm not sure if making them different layers in Flash would make any difference.
stop(); ring1926.movie1926.visible = false; // add a rollover to make the inside movieclip appear
What I am trying to accomplish here is to have my main movie resume playing when an external movie is closed. I.E. How can I make my main know that the external movie is closed and to "re activate certain functions" and to resume playing?
Oh, not too sure if this is needed, but I am loading the external movie with an external preloader that loads the movie. The main movie loads, and external preloader, which actually loads the external movie. Again not sure if this effects anything.
I have 6 scenes, the first scene has 5 pictures that i converted to buttons. each button goes to a different scene to play the appropriate movie clip. right now it shows up with scene 1, then i click on the button and it goes to the appropriate movie clip but after it finishes playing it just goes to the next clip on the next scene, then after it is finished it goes to the next clip on the next scene and so on. i would like to know is there some way i can make the movie clips return to scene 1 after they finish playing?
I have purchased a flash cursor (.fla) with nice sparkling effects while a cursor is being moved. I would like to make similar/same sparkles playing around a cursor ALSO while a mouse is not being moved. but only stackoverflow.com has the experience in flash, I do lack of it. i use adobe flash cs5 and tried to find a solution for a hell of hours, but unsucessfully. zipped cursor file .fla can be downloaded here: [URL]
I need to know how to make a button called Textchange that detects if the movie clip Meditext is playing, and if it is then largetext will start playing and Meditext will stop. But if it isn't playing, then nothing happens.
I can't believe how impossible it has been to find info about this. I'm sort of a beginner with actionscript, but this shouldn't be as hard as I'm finding it to be.
I'm using AS2. I have an ordinary FLV video playing with one of the skins that comes with the Flash software (CS3). That all works perfectly fine. What I need to do, however, is add a large "PLAY" button over top of the movie. I have made that work also. But, I need the button to disappear when the movie starts playing, because it is obviously in the way and making it hard to view the video.
Some forums suggested making that button disappear when it is clicked. That would be fine, except that the video player skin also has a play button, and if someone clicks that button instead of my new large button, I still need the large button to disappear.
So what I'm trying to figure out how to do is something like: if the FLV is playing, make this object (the button) disappear or become invisible. This can't be that difficult!
I have a sound clip that I'm loading externally into my flash file. The code I'm using looks like this and is placed in the as layer on the first frame,
var mySound:Sound = new Sound(); var myChannel:SoundChannel = new SoundChannel(); var myTransform = new SoundTransform(); var lastPosition:Number = 0; mySound.load(new URLRequest("introaudio.mp3")); myChannel = mySound.play(); [Code]....
I am using AS2 in CS5.5.I am creating a project for a class that introduced me to adobe flash. The issue is I have gotten to a certain point about 15 scenes. During say the 15th scene scrolling through the timeline animations works fine, playing it on test scene works fine. When I go to play it on test movie it stops at a certain point. At first I thought it might have been a misplaced stop action but there is none to be found. The weird part is every other scene I create after that continues to freeze as well, the images are there, but the animations won't play. All my previous animations play before those with the issue, it's justThese new ones won't play for some reason in test movie, but work completely fine in test scene and the timeline.
I am loading an external SWF file into my main timeline. The external SWF file contains an FLV video. At a certain point in my main timeline, the SWF file loads and plays the video. Is there a way to say...
If the VIDEO (FLV) is done playing, gotoAndPlay(X)?
I was wondering, what was the best way to for actionscript 3.0 to detect cuepoints playing from a FLV movie that is playing from an FLV playback component?
