I haven't been able to find documentation on why loaded movies via'loadMovie' into another movie clip don't seem to obey onEnterFramecommands. The following code represents a movie clip, 'container',which has a loaded external .swf file, 'box.swf'.I have set the container to begin a decreasing alpha change. I've alsoadded a trace to see if the onEnterFrame is performing at all. Whathappens is that the box does not appear to have an alpha change.Thereis, however, a trace that returns an output of '100' only. But noother numbers, suggesting that the command has stopped.

I have made a simple site with some simple transitions. each button on my site loads in an external swf file into an empty movie clip.
One of these swf files is a guestbook which works when i dont load it into the empty clip and test it alone on my server (sending in the guestbook swf, html, php, and empty text file)
Now then, when i load in the guestbook into the main swf, nothing happens on the server when I test it - I am lost and now come to you people for advice. It obviously has something to do with being loaded into an empty movie clip that is causing conflict.

Atm im putting a a game i build into my main flash app.Everything works fine except the keyboard listener.unny.AFTER a mouse click on the 'loaded' swf the keys 'arrow UP' + 'arrow DOWN' start working.I created already a script that loads the listeners IF they are not loaded yet, but i think thats not the problem. Same situation.After clicking on the movie it starts to work, but apparently the listeners are already applied. All other listeners work besides the keyboard listeners.Stand alone(the game swf running by its own) the game works perfectly!btw the game is importing a main document class.

I have a flash file (main.fla) that contains an empty movie clip which has the action :loadMovie("myMovie.swf");When I test the movie in Flash it works fine.It also works fine when I have Flash closed & just open the (main.swf) file.And, of course, the loaded movie (myMovie.swf) plays fine too.HOWEVER, when I embed the main movie file (main.swf) into an HTML page, it will NOT load "myMovie.swf" like it's supposed to.Note: when I embed "myMovie.swf" into the HTML page, it works fine.

I load multiple SWFs into a single SWF for seamless user navigation and playback. This allows me to have multiple scenes and a single menu from which to jump to them. Now on to the problem...As you can see in my current site, the LoadMovie function works properly when the SWF "loader" sits on an URL>..HTML page opens with an SWF on it, which correctly loads a movie file(s) into it.However, when I put the exact same SWF "loader" file into a prettyPhoto lightbox: URL...(click the Clinical Ink thumbnail to see the lightbox)The first SWF loads fine but it doesn't load the movie into it.I've tried multiple SWFs that also work fine on an HTML page, all with the same result.

I have a flash swf file which I don't want people to be able to download and decompile it . my first solution was to load this swf file in another swf file and put the container swf file in my site . but something's wrong . when I load my swf file in another swf file using : myloader.loadMovie ("myswffile.swf");it works fine in my local computer but when I load these two swf files to my server and try to use them there , it doesn't work .

I did a photo gallery with loadMovie functions and It works fine when I preview it in flash but when I go to export it and publish it on my website the photos don't load into the clip. Is it because I'm in flash MX? do I just need to upgrade or what?

I am about to eat my keyboard. I created a flash file with some swf's (created in flash) wich are loaded with loadMovie("name.swf", 4); and fscommand to open on fullscreen. No problems everything works 100%! But! When I load swf's that are created with Indesign (the swf's work fine when I open them individually) It doesn't work! It seems it loads the swf every 2 seconds again or something. I sure hope there's anyone who's got a clue for me!

I have a flash document that is calling an .swf file into a movie clip via the .loadmovie command. The .swf plays all the way through in the movie clip, but it has problems with the "play again" button at the end. It is not letting go of all the actions from the first play and doesn't reload properly. The .swf restarts perfectly by itself, it uses this code to replay:
on(release){
_root.gotoAndPlay(1);
}
but once the .swf is loaded into the main flash file, the "play again" button doesn't work anymore.
I can apply to the button at the end of the .swf that will allow it to replay when it is loaded into the movieclip in the main .fla file?

I am still trying to get comfortable with AS3 so I kind of understand the problem, but can't figure out how to go about fixing it. I am developing a flash site where there is a main container swf which basically contains the site's navigation and a blank movieclip into which external swfs are loaded when the user selects a section. Loading the swfs is not an issue, but getting the actionscript in the external swfs to work is. They work fine standing alone, but when loaded into the container swf they do not.I'm assuming the issue is that the path to the eventlisteners, functions, ect. are broken when loaded into the container. I tried adding the instance name of the blank movieclip to the path but that didn't seem to work
i.e. if my blank movie clip is called "swfContainer_mc" then

I have created a main swf file which holds a movie container which other swf's load into. One of the sections has a form in it. When I preview this section on its own the form works, but when I preview through the main swf file (or online) the text fields cannot be typed into. How can I fix this? i have a main loader swf file called loader.swf and it loads 10 swf files inside a container. the 10 swf files have invisible buttons and when i test the 10 swf files alone the invBtn-s are work fine, but when i load them with the loader.swf the invBtn-s simply don't work or react the mouse or anything...

i was trying to make a movie clip visible (it starts invisible), than invisible again. It gets visible, but i could't make it turn invisible again! Same thing happened with buttonMode propertie. I applied both only for movieClips and buttons, have no idea what is happening.

At this point, almost everything worked perfectly. Everything, but one thing. Apparently, the swapDepths command wasn't working. It was then that I thought maybe swapDepths only works on movie clips.And so I converted the button into a movie clip. I modified the instance names, etc, and almost everything worked. Everything, including swapDepths, but one thing: the gotoAndStop command.For some reason, when I tested the movie clip (containing a button) out, it removed the splat+score and finger_mc movie clips, as well as stoped the background music from playing. However, it did not go to the next scene and frame as specified by the gotoAndStop command. "s1a2" is the next scene, and "gameplays1a2" is its frame.

I have a swf that loads into another flash file through an empty movie clip. For some reason, the swf isn't working properly. It works fine on it's own, but once it's brought into the other flash file via empty mc some elements of the swf do not show up or function properly.

I have a MovieClip with two buttons inside of it (bottom portion) When I mouse over the MovieClip - it rises up, to revewl the buttons. My problem is, when I mouse over the buttons, the movie clip drops back down. The buttons don't have any actions upplied to them... It acts as though buttons were standing between the cursor and the movie clip... The idea is to hower over the movie clip > reveal the buttons > either move mouse away or click on one of the buttons. However, the movie clip closes when I touch either one of the buttons. Below is the code and thnks a bunch ahead of time:
