View 1 RepliesI'm having trouble figuring out how to get this image slideshow to have separate links for each picture. I've researched online and I can't seem to make sense of what I've found in relation to the code I have.

i created a flash slideshow with pictures of events and link each picture with its own event (ie. each pictures has its own links to the website). I created the fade in and fade out effect using the class motion tween. With the link, I created a layer with a button that has alpha= 0 (so the user don't see it) and then I used code snippet to make another layer with the action script "click to go to url."
When the slideshow goes to the last picture I made it fade out and the first picture of the slideshow would show up and then the slideshow would replay itself (by default?). My goal is to make a continuous slideshow.
When I tested the swf file, the first time it runs, everything is right. The urls and the pictures are in correct order. However when the slideshow replays itself automatically, I notice that the links are incorrect. In the first play, when I click the picture of the event it would open the url of that event.However when the sldieshow replays, clicking the pictures would only open the url of the first event picture. When I click on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc.pictures the browser opens only the link of the first picture of the slideshow.
I've been trying to develop a Flash Cube that has different images on each face as well as individual links for each, but I'm having trouble coding it - I can either get it with images and one link per cube, or no images and individual links!!(I've seen this elsewhere) I'd like it to freeze its rotation when you hover over each face as well.
View 3 RepliesI know I can make an array if all the buttons would have a unified code executable change, i.e. they would become larger and brighter.
My problem is that each button represents an product image in the lights off stage, then of rollover it is a lights on stage so I have to import two images in the on and off stage and play around with the opacity.Additional problem is that each button has to ling to a different label.
My question is: is it possible to unify the code if buttons have that much individuality or I have to make each one of them as in the example below.

I have created a pie preloader(preloader.zip) which is working fine. Same preloader I am trying to incorporate in a xml based slideshow(slideshow.zip) to show image loading process but some how I got stuck. I am new to flash. Suggestions are welcome.
1. How to solve the problem of preloader2. Is it possible to integrate everything in a movie clip (including AS). I mean no AS on main time line but inside the movie clip. It would be much easier then to to create multiple slideshows by duplicating mc and changing the xml file.
Looking for a tutorial to make individual pages (jpg or gif) into swf pages so we can add links in an on-line flip book. I have flash, but have not learned as of yet.

View 1 RepliesI managed to get the swf to load fine on this page (www.diamondraindesign.com) until I added a full-screen invisible button that goes over the slides. It uses the same counter to sync with them so that whenever someone clicks on it they go to the proper page. Unfortunately, now only the link works to the first page item, and sometimes I can't even see the slides 'loading' text, just a white background. If I take the link button out, the slides are fine. Why is the link interferring, and how do I get it to sync and not stop the slides?

How would someone go about getting the actionscript to look for another field in the xml file that had a Url link to a webpage for each image that would be activated by clicking on that particular image.
I've gotten as far as getting a listbox with a list of articles to display the articles in a dynamic text box, only i can only get it to work if i use one huge external text file that contains all the articles. what i want is to have each item on the list open up its own external text file, i.e. for each item on the list, there exists a separate text file. I'm about ready to put my fist through the monitor, and that would suck because this is a really nice monitor

View 5 Repliesbuild an image gallery on a site i'm building.The way I have built the site use sactionscript to pull the each different page through as an individual swf file. see: http:[url]....The page im putting the image gallery on is 'Virtual Tour'.When I test this specific page in flash it works fine, however when I view the master flash file and click 'Virtual Tour' then it doesnt pull the images through. When I use that tweenmax.to(this.....) part, all the thumbs act like one. I tried to change this to thumbs but I didn't work. How to convert all the thumbs to an individual image?

I am creating one desktop application of facebook.
So here I am getting streams from facebook post. So when any facebook application's long image link I am getting that I can't display in Image container, this is not displaying image.
One also fact is that, When I am giving this link directly then it is working.....
When I have seen this in Charlse Debugging proxy then it is displaying 403,Forbidden error of image.

The images to load which have the same px dimensions as the mask for the container will keep scaling up for a reason I can�t find in the code. I have been trying to fix this all day without any luck and I am about to go mad here. I am using FCS3 but saving a F8 doc with AS2. Could anyone take a look to the file and tell me what the problem could be?

I'm a beginner at actionscript, as well, but I'm humble and more than willing to be schooled..I have what I hope is an easy question to answer.It is a pretty basic image scroller that has a series of images scrolling across the screen in an infinite loop. Direction is controlled by mouse position (extreme left or right), and it will stop when the mouse is positioned over an image in the center area.Here's the code:

I have created a banner and wanted to randomize the URL that the user goes to. Basically the banner is of a product and it is sold a say 3 places. I wanted to randomize where the customer goes, but one of the three places it is sold. What is the easiest way to implement this? Generate a random number when the page loads and that determines the URL link?
