ActionScript 3.0 :: Class Only "active" When Movieclip On Frame?

I am making a game and the setup for the "hero" MovieClip is as following: The first frame contains a movieclip that has the feet and the walk animation has a stop on the first frame and a movieclip of a class. This class checks if an arrowkey is pressed and then plays the walk animation. Now when you jump, the original hero MovieClip skips to a frame that shows the feet in a jumping position. Of course, now the whole feet-walk movieclip isn't there anymore. But now the walkanimation-class fires a million errors, because it can't play, obviously.

What I want to do is, for the walkanimation class to only "react" when the movieclip that is connected to the class is existing right at the moment. Apparently right now the class reacts all the time.

Is it possible to create a flash that works as an active picture frame? That will receive picture name as a parameter and load it into the frame, also can specify some effects on the picture with parameters too. By doing this, we just create a flash at once and use it manytimes with different pictures. We can even let it load frame as a picture file, so we can change frame by some parameters too. It will be good with user who doesn't know flash. And we doesn't need to modify the flash file when they need to update the picture in the frame. It will reduce workload for everybody.

I have a Fade-in/ Fade-out movie that works with the 'alpha'. It begins on a Mouse_Over and works its way toward 0, but stops and reverses from where ever it is at on a Mouse_Out and works it's way back towards 100. I pretty sure someone here showed it to me -- and it has been the cats' meow. I'm wondering if Flash will let you do the same thing with a motion. I played around a little and replaced the 'alpha' call in the function with 'motion' and the code stayed blue (which I'm assuming means that it is acceptable). This would make a really great function, assuming that it is possible. I've enclosed the 'alpha' code so that you can see what I am referring to.

After a lot of Googling and reading, I think I learned that each of those movieclips need to be in their own .as. ActionScript 3.0 :: Instanced Movieclip-like Class Missing Frame Scripts After Loading

I had a problem recently with as3 and found no answer about this issue, I did a game with a client's container. This container has a custom loader function to load resources, so I loaded a swf with linked movieclip's based classes, these movieclips have frame scripts like stop() and dispatchEvent(..). It actually loads the resources, I instanciate them and their frame script WORKS. Now, I'm making a standalone version without the container:

1 - I load the same swf, using the standard flash loader.

2 - I instantiate the classes and add them to stage.

3 - The framescript is totally missing. The frame scripts like stop(), trace() and etc, aren't executing anymore.

I did a lot of research on the web, and found very few people with the same issue but no answer. I tryed a lot of workarounds but nothing seems to happend, I think is a security-loader issue, but now I am clueless.

So I'm using PixelFume's Active Blur class to recreate the effect, though somewhat simpler so I rewrote some of it and it seem screwed up to me. I have it on the first frame of an .swf that gets loaded into and container clip in the main .swf via loadMovie. It does what I want it to do, but everytime you load the page it comes up slower and slower. If you click the button to load it like 15 times, it's pretty much 1fps.

I have a movieclip that I'm using as a button- the rollover state is on frame two, the up state is on frame one and I used actionscript to apply the different actions. All of the actions work fine normally, but about 25% of the time only part of the button is active. The mouse doesn't change to the hand symbol and the rollover/release effects don't work on most of the button, just on a small band around the perimeter of the button. Its not like it happens every time and there doesn't seem to be any consistency in what causes it.

Below is the code I have for my buttons.I have 3 different swfs loading in once each corresponding button is selected (CLICK). I also have rollover and rollout or idle states. Now the dilemma: Once a button (mc) is selected (CLICK) I need it to remain in its rollover state. Once another button is selected I need the previously highlighted button to switch to idle state and the new button to be highlighted... Sounds like the most basic, simple, AS3 101 question, but alas I am hitting a wall. Based on my provided code what is the best option for this, an array with an active state on the timeline, a toggle with Boolean ect, ect...?

The movieclip itself has button functionaliy (ROLL_OVER etc) and is on the stage with a bunch of other movieclips with listeners.The hidden layer of this movieclip off to the side a bit from the main part of the clip, and its getting in the way of other movieclips that also have listeners... so the other movie clips lose their 'functionality' when I'm hovering over them at a spot where the hidden layer is. I need this hidden layer to appear at certain times so I can't get rid of it totally. Currently I am changing the x value of the hidden layer to push it off the stage, and then pulling it back when I need it (and this works) but this seems a bit unnecessary..

I'd like my Flash site to be bi-lingual. What I have currently is a Flash movie with an empty Movie Clip which then allows users to go from movie to movie. The movies are all small movieClips that are loaded into the empty movieclip on demand. There is some video and text in each of the 30 movieClips.
Here is sample of code that i'm using to call up next MovieClip.

My solution for the bilingual version is to create a separate frame with the French version + video and then when user presses the French button they are directed to that frame. This way I could easily create the French text within the one movie. however i don't know the Actionscript code to call up a movieClip to play from frame 10, and not frame 1.

I was having trouble even knowing quite what to search for so I figured asking a question in a forum would be the best way to go. Currently I am making an application where I have multiple movieclips of equal duration on multiple frames. For example, movieclip_1 is on frame 1 and is 40 frames long. There is currently a scrub bar that scrubs through the 40 frames of movieclip_1. On frame 1 of the Scene there are also buttons with the actions to gotoAndStop on frame 2, frame 3, and frame 4. Frame 2 contains movieclip_2, frame 3 contains movieclip_3, and so on. The functionality of this is that it shows medical conditions progressing from different angles and when a button is clicked the display shows a close up of just that one angle. As expected, without any actions on the movieclips navigating from one frame to the next brings up the proper new movieclip but they always begin at frame 1. What I would like to be able to do is somehow have my movieclips know what frame they are on so when a button is clicked the application would go to that frame and open that movie clip to the same frame as the previous one that was just navigated from.

I got a MovieClip filled with a lot of others clips... When I change de X or Y value of this first MovieClip the frame rate slows down for during 1 frame. For exemple... I created a counter that returns around 30 mseconds every frame, but when I do this X or Y change the return is around 400 mseconds... When I try to fill the first MovieClip with less information it goes faster, about 100+-200 mseconds...
