ActionScript 3.0 :: Creating Checklist For Items Correctly Placed On Target?

I am a bit new to AS3.0 and I created a fairly simple drag and drop type game based on this tutorial: [URL]. And it works wonderfully with my graphics however I need to add a "checklist" that keeps track of which items have been correctly placed on the targets after they are placed how do i go about this? For example: the square get's placed and in a list the text appears "the square has been added", next the circle gets placed and in the list under the text for the square the text" the circle has been added" etc... I would need the list to be able to be arranged automatically regardless of which item the user is selecting. How do I go about making this happen?

Alright, so I've tried quite a few things with no luck. I have a scrollbar that works in the swf fine, but when loaded into my mainmovie container I get this error...
Target not found: Target = "/scrolling text " Base = "_levelO.swf container"

Basically I understand this to mean that the externally loaded movie cannot find the instance name /scrolling text. The code is as follows that I have set to the scrollbar button in the externally loaded swf....

on (rollOver) {
tellTarget ("/scrollingtext") {
nextFrame();
} gotoAndStop("down1");
}

I tried changing the target to _root.scrollingtext with no luck. Also tried _parent.

I understand that the target and the movie clip have to have the same name, like "book_mc" has to have a target of "targetbook_mc", but is there another way to do this so that "book_mc" and "pencil_mc" can both have the same target?

I am animating a number of items using the Move effect. I am adding each item to an array after it has been added to the display list and once all items are added calling the play method, passing an array of the items to it. Only the last item plays in my animation.

i am a fairly new user to flash 8 and am currently undertaking a project in creating a responsive knowledge based system in flash. i intend to give the user a set of 5 questions which they will have to answer using either a multiple or single selection of radio/checklist buttons.i am struggling in creating these buttons regarding the scripting behind it which enables the system to give the user feedback at the end.i will include 5 style of questions and depending on which ones they get correct the system will recognise this and not ask a specific type if the user is getting more of that one correct.

I'm new to Flash CS3 and am working in action script 2.0.I've built a beautiful checklist that has a number of items on it.When you click on an item, that item turns green, then a box drops down to the next item on the checklist.Using the AS 2.0 stop(); command, I've simply made two frames of each checklist item (one in white font and the other in green font).Each time you click an item, I've used the behavior "gotoframe and stop" to make the movie play and stop on the last frame.When you get to the end of the checklist, I would like the clicking of the last item to activate the next checklist (which I haven't built yet). What is the best method to handle this problem?I've tried a new layer, but when I start the swf, all the layers are visible.I've tried scenes, but that doesn't work either.Is it possible to build the next checklist as a separate swf, then call that external swf up when you click the last item on the checklist? can't seem to get this last and crucial step to work.

If you click on Artificial Intelligence on frame 60, it jumps to frame 61 (a specific section for that list item). How do I make the Artificial Intelligence button on frame 61 jump back to frame 60? Is it possible to access the type of object being interacted with so I can create a new instance of the same object? So for example in the code below I have the movieclip myItem. After it's clicked it is removed from stage and then moved to the inventory. When I click on it there, is it possible to create a new instance of mcItemToDuplicate using the event information parameters? (while allowing myItem to be where it is).

My code looks something like this:

I'm creating a facebook application in flex. I'm actually working on the friends component that shows your friends who are using the application. now, each friend has a profile image.

I created the component using a s:List element.

In the Skin Class of the element i configured the requestedColumnCount to 3, which means it shows 3 friends. i added buttons to scroll left and right in the list.

Whenever I scroll to see a different friend, for a half of a second i see no image because the List component is loading the image in order to view it.

is there a way to make the list preload all the elements so i won't have this kind of problem ?

qi have a movieclip which is added to the stage:

inside of profileholder is another movieclip(infoBtn) that acts as a button.when the mouse is over profileholder i want to do something with infoBtn like:

this doesn't work and brings up this error:ReferenceError: Error #1069: Property infoBtn not found on flash.display.Loader and there is no default value.

how to get my CollectionEvent to work, and I seem to be able to see the problem, but I am not sure how to get it to work properly.

In my actionscript, it seems to only tell that event.items.length is 1, while I am calling my array collection from the HTTPService, and I have tested the length of my Array Collection, which seems to be accurate. What I tried to do is to use that number in the CollectionEvent function, but that does not work at all.

IDE :: Swf Not Displaying Correctly On LCD?

So i've created an interface for a lobby display. It's running on a 52" LCD (1280x768). I have the computer hard wired to the display (HP Laptop with standalone flash player) and have the same resolution settings set on it. Now, I built the interface on my Mac desktop and have the stage set to 1280x768.

The kicker: When i run it on the display, there's a lot of extra vertical space at the bottom. When i change the resolution to 1280x1024, it fills the screen vertically properly, but then shortens it horizontally.

Buttons Not Linking Correctly?

This was created with frames in dreamweaver and the nav bar and index page movie are swf files. When you click on the pages in the nav bar it redirects to the index page. It does this the majority of the time and every now and again when you click it will go to the actual page.The way it is set up in dreamweaver, it has the nav movie in the top frame and the content in the bottom. All I did was change the old i.p address to the domain name because our host changed. I did nothing else and then this started not working correctly.I have checked and double checked all links in flash and they work from the swf but when it is loaded in the browser it does that weird linking to the index again. This is the code in flash to link to the pages:
