ActionScript 3.0 :: FastForwad / Rewind In Flash Video Frame Does't Change Properly
Mar 26, 2012
I am having Fast-Forward and Rewind Functionality in my Custom Video Player, Which I done by calling seek method on regular interval.which works fine. but for same cases , the video playHeadTime get changed , but the frame does not change with that, and video's playHeadTime and Frame does not come with sync.
What command do I enter for the movie to rewind to first frame on entering a certain frame / stopping in a frame? It's my first time using Flash, and I'm working on a double menu (second menu has a "close" button, where I want to get back to the first menu).
I have a .fla that has a movieclip in it with an frame by frame animation of a rotating pyramid. The script that I have, when the user drags the mouse horizontally for the right, the animations play, and for the left, it plays rewind. But when it is on frame 1 and I try to go back, it stops![code]How could I make the first frame go to the final frame when I drag the mouse for the left?
I am building a video player and would like to have a forward and rewind button. I was looking at tutorials and it seems like none of them have this. Is there a reason for this?
I am currently working on a music site that has a custom built mp3 player, where the action script calls to an external xml. It works beautifully. It is all on one frame.... in the background of the music player is edited video that I manipulate in final cut. I have next and pre buttons that call the xml. What I am trying to do is change the video when the song is changed. Im not sure if I call a fuction to the button next frame + or - 1 or if I can call the video to the xml. I am a graphic designer learning code and am not sure how to tackle this. This site is my senior project.
I'm using the FLVPlayback component and I need a rewind button. I don't want it to go back to the beginning of the video, only go back a couple of seconds everytime the button is pressed.
I am creating a video player with my own buttons, play stop are easy, but I can't for the life of me get it to rewind or start again (not loop). It may be worth noting that the flash video is store within a movie clip! The flv instance is flv_close and the movie instance is mv_close.
I need to remove any ability for the visitor to rewind the video, I need a button that will only come up at the end of the video that will be a link to another page.Is this something I would build from scratch? Does anyone know of a way I can satisfy these requirements with an existing player?
I have been asked to use a lady who stays still but then when you rollover a button her arms moves to that button, I have looked everywhere for some answers but just can't find a single example of one.
Sounds so simple, but I have been trying to sort this for ages and just can't make it work properly
I am fairly new to Actionscripting and brand new to this forum. I hate to start out desperate but I am. Let me set the stage: I created a 7 scene swf in CS3 Actionscript 2.0 and have integrated (under excruciating trials) a voiceover tract (mp3) that is perfectly timed. Now, I have been asked to put in controls so that viewers/listeners can STOP / REWIND / PLAY the swf. After numerous trys I finally got the following script to play the audio with the video:
The size dimensions are perfect in Mozilla when i run the application but in IE the width of the video object expands a further 100 pixels why is this?
EDIT: Even when i set the width 100 pixels the width size remains at 320 pixels everytime i run the application in IE
I was told that putting code on buttons is bad practice now. So, I'm trying to move my button codes to my main actionscript frame. I did it find with the play and stop/pause buttons. However, the rewind and forward buttons are proving more difficult How would the code look if I transferred it from my button to my actionscript frame I'll post the code I have right now in my rewind button.
I am trying to make a flash movie and have it find a external movie to show. I also need to be able to change the location of the video without flash, so I think I have to use a seperate .as file.
i have a pb of memory leak:i using flash.media.video to read video i have function to do frame by frame:FrameBuffer is an Array containing my video frame, lastimg is Bitmap object
Problem is that my rewind and fast forward buttons do not work properly in the sense that they start to mess up when you fast forward or rewind past the current scene. It seems to just skip through the whole movie and totally mess up the animation.the code for the controls is on a single layer and reads as the following:
What I'm trying to achieve is to support Landscape mode in both orientations, so if user turns the device 180 degress, the screen should also rotate. But there should be no action at all, when user rotates the device to one of portrait orientations. Instead, I'm seeing width changes to navigator action bar and sometimes content in portrait orientations, so apparently preventing the event is not enough. I'm using the "official" way Adobe suggests, but the problem is that it's not working very well. Granted, the stage does not change, but it seems that there's something firing in navigator anyway, since you can see the action bar width changing.
I had some success with explicitly setting layoutbounds to fixed width in handler method - this prevents changing the actionbar width, but it's only a temporary solution - if the view is a subject to a transition, or some other redraw - it will again render with bad sizes. As if there was something below that was telling it that it's in portrait mode, even though I'm trying to prevent it.
Before you detonate with some silly ideas like "autoOrient = false", don't. It's clearly not a solution for this problem. Obviously it's a bug with Flex SDK - did anyone find a way to fix it or a stable workaround?
I've looked around on google and i see you cant play video in reverse properly because of keyframe issues and you can use prevFrame on movieclips with data on frame, but this second way, i've tried by using Tweener class, and has some "clunky" moments. So does someone know a good way that plays smooth in reverse either a movieclip or a video or both?
I am experiencing a very weird issue with both jquery2flash players, this is how i am callin flowplayer:[code]this is how i am calling jwplayer:[code]The problem is that in both even if you click on the play button, the video will start but the play icon won't hide Also, in flowplayer the player will add an extra instance of the video (or at least the sound) each time you click the play button.I am really not sure why this won't work as expected, what am i missing here? Also, the volume controls won't work.URL....
I've made a small app that captures and displays the camera feed. But the problem i'm having is that the app only displays a fraction of what the camera is showing (top left part of the corner), is there a way to shrink the resolution in Flash CS5 so that the app can show the full picture?
function forwardfunction(event:MouseEvent):void[code]....
I have a strip of pictures that moves from left to right when user clicks "forward" button, pauses when the "pause" button is clicked and rewinds when "rewind" button is clicked. My problem is that after rewind cycle is complete, none of the buttons work again. Also, while in rewind mode, pause button does not pause it.I also had if and else statements for rewindfunction as
Code: if (port_mc.currentFrame == 1) { port_mc.stop();[code]....
I cannot find any information that if there is possible to change the frame size on flash. Is it possible to change the frame size of aspect ratio on flash?
I have a problem when I am changing color of a MovieClip. When I change the frame and in some point come back to the frame that holds the MovieClip, then it has returned to its original color. Is there any way it caches the color somehow so that I don't have to recolor it every time.
The quick question: is there a pure PHP library that can extract a frame from the video to use as the thumbnail? I guess the answer is "no" but let me know if I am wrong :-) ffmpeg wrappers will not go, since I want this feature to work on most hostings without special PHP modules or binaries to launch.
There might also be some tool to do this on the client side with flash for example.
I am making a quiz/game, and it works like this, two teams that have to take over the united states, by answering history questions, so right now I have it were when you click on a state, it takes you to a question (on a different frame in the main timeline), then I have a problem, if you get the question right it takes you to the "board" of the United States (that works), but when you are back the color of the state should change its color to red (on frame of the clip) if south got it and blue (another frame of the clip) if north got itBut instead i changes back to grey (default color, all start grey to begin with). I don't and can't seem to figure this out
I've been following the book "Beggining Flash Programing for Dummies" and I have come up to a part where I create a very simple game. The script involved in the frames are FRAME here:
I got a MovieClip filled with a lot of others clips... When I change de X or Y value of this first MovieClip the frame rate slows down for during 1 frame. For exemple... I created a counter that returns around 30 mseconds every frame, but when I do this X or Y change the return is around 400 mseconds... When I try to fill the first MovieClip with less information it goes faster, about 100+-200 mseconds...
I have an imported video on the stage and I wanted to set the autorewind parameter to True. However, when I click on the FLVPlayback component and look at the list of parameters the Autorewind is not there. I have "aligh", "autoplay", "cuepoints", etc..., no "autorewind". The video is from a flash export from Final Cut Pro (using Quicktime Conversion to create the FLV file). How do I get the autorewind to show up or am I missing something.
