ActionScript 3.0 :: Images Blink/jagged When They Move?

I have an image slide across the screen, depending on where the mouse location is. It looks great in the Flash GUI, but once I publish it, the image appears to blink or go jagged as it moves quickly across the screen. I couldn't figure out if this was a monitor issue, browser issue, or something I'm doing in Flash. It appears to show up differently, depending on what computer I'm using. (tested it on a Macbook Pro, and using a custom windows xp machine) I've tried JPEG smoothing options in the image properties, and setting the quality to "best" in the embed code. (I am not loading these images externally, they're in the .fla)Anyone seen this before? Is it because the image is too large and can't refresh fast enough? (Flash is set to 60fps) [URL](Click on "Let me Play" option, then move the mouse side-to-side)
I have been working on this banner ad using motion tweens (with scaling) for four objects, three road signs and a background. Sometimes it runs very smoothly, but most of the time, the four objects run in a very jagged way? Does it have to do with four motion tweens happening at the same time?
I am facing a curious issue. Generally when we draw lines in Flash either vertically or horizontally or through exact 45 degrees on either of the sides, they come out as straight and anti-aliased. While if they are drawn deviated from either 0 or 45 degrees, they come out as jagged. I want that to be anti-aliased too
Using FLash CS5 and everything looks jagged when I view hte published version of my movie.Back in Flash 4 there was no jagged edges so what have I missed?Here's an image to show you what I mean.See the Black outline of the movieclip is flipping out. It's a normal vector based movieclip, no image or nothing.
I have a file that dynamically loads JPEGs in two sizes (thumbnails and zoom). There is nothing in the AS concerning sizing, only loading and positioning.The site looked fine and now the pictures all have jagged edges to them (it's stained glass and the leading looks edgy instead of smooth). The photos that are loading look smooth upon uploading.I have them Publishing as, Flash Player 8, AS 2.0, JPEG Quality at 100, only Protect from Import is checked, I'm working in Flash CS4 on a Mac.
Flash has some serious problems with jagged edges on curved shapes. When adjusting a curve on a shape, flash shows that it is curved and then on releasing the mouse it turns into a sharp edge
Is there any built in functionality to convert an ArrayCollection to a jagged string array? I have an Arraycollection of objectproxies that I get from a SOAP webservice (asp.net datatable) that I modify and want to send back.
I'm trying to create some MovieClips with a glow effect when you rollOver and the glow effect dissapearing on rollOut. But when the rollOut is finished my background movieclip to which I apply the filter (a simple 20 x 20 vector circle) all of a sudden appears jagged, when before rollOver/rollOut it appeared smooth as it should. What could be going on here? I'm pretty new to AS3, thus the example isn't working properly yet. For instance:
* when you roll over the item the first time it immediately shows the end phase of the glow in stead of animating. I thought I'ld circumvent this with Tween.rewind() in the constructor, but that didn't do the trick.
* also I'm not sure whether the addEventListener for TweenEvent.MOTION_CHANGE is placed in the correct spot. I tried putting it in the constructor, but that resulted in the event being recieved continuously by _onMotionChange.
But the most important part is the jagged circle after the glow filter has dissapeared. This is what I have so far (abbreviated example):
I'm trying to figure out how I would make a line grow or fade in basically, such as in a line graph how it shows increasing growth as the viewer watches the line move up and down and more up etc.
i have a movieclip and inside this movieclip i have a textfield the text field has anti-alias for animation and characters embedded. the movieclip undergo - scaleX,scaleY & alpha changes. is this the cause of the jagged/pixelate texts or am i missing something important to make it look great?
ill try and give as much detail as possible: im trying to teach myself and make a flash site at the same time, so far so good, i already had one, but didn't like the layout
im using Macromedia flash 8 to make this. when i use the glow effect on text, and make a new keyframe to dim the glow again theres a weird blink on that keyframe and im not sure what is wrong.
I wanted to do a simple blinking-effect for my animations, and put this code into the eyes:[code]Nice and easy, right, giving the eyes a 10 percent chance of blinking every two seconds.Well, it works nicely in the beginning. But then, after a while, the blinking increases until finally the animations are blinking constantly.
I'm new at flash and I have a problem with a over of a button...What is happen is when I over the button, appear a subtitle with a hyperlink and when I put the mouse above the link, the subtitle blink....
I'm trying to blink a movie clip, say every 25 milliseconds. I also want "titleBlink()" function to start after a set delay and then stop blinking after, say, 2 seconds.I've tried using Tweener as the delay, then wrapping the blink code in AS3's timer class, but it didn't work properly.Here is my "blinking" code:

I have loaded 11 pictures through an array and a loop and then tweenlite'd them so them come on the screen from the right and move across 'til the middle picture is in the middle of the screen.Now, I am trying to figure out how to make it so I can move them to the right or left by a press of a button, (bntLeft and btnRight).Three pictures show on the screen at one time. So if btnRight is clicked then the 3 pictures which are off the screen to the right would come on and center in the screen. And if btnRight was clicked again then the pictures would move to the left and the last picture would come on.I don't know if that is going to make sense to anyone but me so I have created a picture to show what I mean.I also attached a snippet of the code I am using in case you need to see it. In a Flex 4 app (with Spark components) I have a ViewStack with various screens, and a TabBar to navigate between them. I'd like the screens to be able to "blink" their tab when something happens in them (like Windows task bar buttons).How can I do this? My idea is to hack the blinking state into the screen's label (inherited from NavigatorContent) by putting a * in it when blinking, and somehow reading that in a custom tab bar skin.
It's basically a PNG that gets refreshed once a second.
I need to reproduce 3 such screens in flash. The code below works, but the refresh (loadClip) blanks out the previous image before loading the new one, creating a blinking effect.
Is there a way around that? can I refresh the movieclips smoothly, like it was a video?
So I'm making a Flash site that needs to have different swfs on a bunch of different html pages for easy linking purposes. The problem: Even though the swfs are small, as you navigate between pages there is what looks like a white flash just before the swf shows up. I know this is the background of the html page as the swf is loading. Is there any way to load the page in a certain way to avoid this? Would a preloader help? Here's an example of the site:

I have created a motion-tween with three images rotating in a flat circle from the foreground to the back. As the images move to the background, they shrink in size 25% and darken a bit. The motion has three stopping stages, with each image having a period in the foreground.
I am having an issue figuring how to make the images in the front to overlap those in the back as it rotates. I have tried placing each image on a seperate layer and placing the images on a single layer but it doesn't function the way I hope.
I need to build an animation. Some pictures must move around an imaginary circle and react on mouse events. What i mean is that images must move to left or right depending on mouse position.However, the mouse events issue is not the problem. The problem is that i have no clue about how can i build the animation of the pictures.The animation what i'm talking about is something like that found on URL...

I�d like to make each one of the images to move slightly as the mouse moves, but each of the images must move in differect speeds and distance, making a pseudo 3d/panoramic illusion.
Im making a game where there are 25 tiles with corresponding questions when you click them. One of the tiles must blink at a time, once the blinking tile was selected it will be hidden and the question will appear. If he answered wrong, the game is over else we will select another blinking tile after answering correctly (but the previous tile is hidden now). So how can i make the tiles blink or change its color using AS? And how i will select the available tiles, where some tiles are already disabled/hidden (already answered)? here is my pseudocode: (im not yet familiar with AS2 OOP concepts so im will use movie clips here & array to save the selected tiles)

The .swfs that make up this website were originally made by somebody else who has asked me to help them get the site working online the way they intended. The main problem I'm having now is making this white space (that appears briefly in shape of .swf's dimensions) go away. The flash projects for the swfs do not even have a white background, neither do the HTML documents. Deadline for solving this problem is early tomorrow and I am stumped. This even happens with tiny, 40kb swfs with preloaders (I thought reducing swf sizes, adding preloaders might solve problem somehow)
