Using FLash CS5 and everything looks jagged when I view hte published version of my movie.Back in Flash 4 there was no jagged edges so what have I missed?Here's an image to show you what I mean.See the Black outline of the movieclip is flipping out. It's a normal vector based movieclip, no image or nothing.

View 6 RepliesI have an MP3 file in Flash 5.5 that I have edited in the properties panel of the frame where the sound is...I basically cut a couple seconds off the beginning by editing the timeline. It plays fine when I'm in Flash, but when I publish the movie, the sound is published unedited.

Generally when we draw lines in Flash either vertically or horizontally or through exact 45 degrees on either of the sides, they come out as straight and anti-aliased. While if they are drawn deviated from either 0 or 45 degrees, they come out as jagged. I want that to be anti-aliased too

There is nothing in the AS concerning sizing, only loading and positioning.The site looked fine and now the pictures all have jagged edges to them (it's stained glass and the leading looks edgy instead of smooth). The photos that are loading look smooth upon uploading.I have them Publishing as, Flash Player 8, AS 2.0, JPEG Quality at 100, only Protect from Import is checked, I'm working in Flash CS4 on a Mac.

View 1 RepliesI have an image slide across the screen, depending on where the mouse location is. It looks great in the Flash GUI, but once I publish it, the image appears to blink or go jagged as it moves quickly across the screen. I couldn't figure out if this was a monitor issue, browser issue, or something I'm doing in Flash. It appears to show up differently, depending on what computer I'm using. (tested it on a Macbook Pro, and using a custom windows xp machine) I've tried JPEG smoothing options in the image properties, and setting the quality to "best" in the embed code. (I am not loading these images externally, they're in the .fla)Anyone seen this before? Is it because the image is too large and can't refresh fast enough? View 1 RepliesI'm trying to create some MovieClips with a glow effect when you rollOver and the glow effect dissapearing on rollOut. But when the rollOut is finished my background movieclip to which I apply the filter (a simple 20 x 20 vector circle) all of a sudden appears jagged, when before rollOver/rollOut it appeared smooth as it should. What could be going on here? I'm pretty new to AS3, thus the example isn't working properly yet. For instance:
* when you roll over the item the first time it immediately shows the end phase of the glow in stead of animating. I thought I'ld circumvent this with Tween.rewind() in the constructor, but that didn't do the trick.
* also I'm not sure whether the addEventListener for TweenEvent.MOTION_CHANGE is placed in the correct spot. I tried putting it in the constructor, but that resulted in the event being recieved continuously by _onMotionChange.
But the most important part is the jagged circle after the glow filter has dissapeared. This is what I have so far (abbreviated example):

I'm trying to figure out how I would make a line grow or fade in basically, such as in a line graph how it shows increasing growth as the viewer watches the line move up and down and more up etc.

Basically, I am using Flex 3, for past 2-3 days whenever I launch any Project or debug it, I get the message box saying "Flex Builder requires a more recent version of Flash Player." It says my curent FP as 9.0.115.0 and debug version as 9.0.45.0. However, my actual FP version if FP 10.0.22.87. I don't understand why this confussion! I don't know how can I know my actual version of Debug player.

View 1 RepliesI am currently working on a flash website that has several flv videos on it. Since the website layout has a slight tilt, I have had to transform the videos to slightly tilt as well. The problem that I am having is that when I do this the image becomes very pixelated and the edges of the video become jagged. I have somewhat fixed the edges issue by making a mask around it but i really dont know how to make the resolution better, or what causes it to loose resolution when slightly transformed. The size of the videos is the same as encoded. All I do is tilt them upwards on the right side a bit.

Ive just started using CS4 Flash and was editing the Actionscript to a carousel menu Ive bought for my website, but... for some reason, now when I hit F9 to view the script the only thing that happens is my timeline minimises to the bottom of the screen!!! and the same thing happens when I try Window > Actions (F9).
View 2 RepliesI have a flash file which I have created, and when viewing the flash in a web page, it works fine in chrome/firefox, but in IE, the flash will only load correctly once. If you hit refresh, or navigate to another page and then go back to the page with the flash on it, the flash will freeze up at 0% of the load bar. This happens 100% everytime, but only in IE. Zero problems in other browsers.
View 15 RepliesI had that 'Access denied' error message whenever I tried to access help within Flash CS5 (that's pretty bad). I searched for far too long and found the obscure solution.
During the process I decided it might be safer to access the online help from my browser in the meantime. But with the problem solved I want to switch back to viewing the content through the Flash IDE.
I can't find those preference settings again though
I'm using an .swf banner for the header of a client project and am concerned that when iPhone and other mobile device users visit the site the header will be missing (being as Flash isn't supported on the iPhone).way in which iPhone visitors can see a .jpeg header when they visit the site so that the header isn't missing entirely? Perhaps this is an easy fix, however I am new to Flash
